And Spain is undergoing the construction of a large hydroelectric dam in Gibraltar. @penguingeek: Spain may have no army, but it still is an economic powerhouse, which is more important in these peaceful times. How about an European Confederacy, riku? An empire needs an emperor, that would only bring problems to us.

@penguingeek: I can't simply "ally" with you like that. What are your terms? Meanwhile, Spaniards are becoming more anxious. The construction of the Grand Dam is guzzling up resources and throwing the country into a massive debt, but it might not be finished for a year or two.

I'm calling the rest of Europe for an economic alliance. With our combined resources, we can start becoming independent from the rest of the world. Especially from those South American Imperialists. As for local politics, I'll ensure the propsperity brought by the Grand Dam is enjoyed by all citizens in the nation. I¡ll start with strong redistribution policies and the nationalization of key industries.

Sounds fun. I'll partake. I'll claim Spain. Why Spain, you ask? Well, now that the world's at peace, I'll redirect the whole of our military budget to building (and maintaining) the largest structure ever devised by mankind: The Grand Gibraltar Dam. The (absolutely clean) energy produced will be enough to turn us into the strongest economy in the world. It will be enough to pay for these AIDS vaccines as well. So what will you do now?

No. Depending on the size of the hole, the air would escape from the suit and eventually your lungs and blood, and you'd die from asphyxia (no toothpaste scenario). Still, an astronaut can live 22 minutes with a 1/8" hole in his suit before the pressure drops too much. Anyway, dying quickly would be much better than in agonizing pain, especially if it's mental (remorse, regret, hate, etc). Regret. Uf.
