No typing appears, Im guessing its frozen... I need to make a quick run to the store, but Ill be back within an hour (if all goes well -.-)... Id appreciate it if you guys could wait for me to return? Youve been a great help so far, and I'd really like to get all this figured out. "Ill be back" :D

This sounds stupid, but how do I restart my laptop? Ive always just restarted it from the start menu... Didnt think there was another way... Id love to do this, except before I found the correct menu, I had to unplug and replug in my computer probably 10 times, since I get 1 of 4 different results each time. And jargon, I will go fiddle with the keyboard, and see if anything changes (I have only tried hitting enter as of now, and that did nothing).

Not yet... Has shown the same file paths for some minutes, now (no new ones have come up). I think it may have frozen. Heres the best pic I could take.

I [think] got to the menu, listing the options of "safe mode", 2 other safe modes, with other words after, start normally, or start with last correct data, or something like that. I hit safe mode, and now my screen is filled with computer talk... Any way to translate what it might be saying? It looks like a bunch of file paths, but I really have no idea :oops:

Im unsure of what you mean by stops loading. After 20 or so minuted of that green bar rolling by the screen, under the words "windows xp", it freezes for a few seconds, then goes to the ctrl alt delete thing I talked about. I will go and test out the F8 thing, if I can get it onto the right screen...

Agreed. I would have loved to go to their concert a few years ago, but now it's .... meh. Lemme guess, did they or did they not play any of their old stuff? My guess is no. :? Glad you had a good time though.. Youre sooo cool for answering your own question (incorrectly, may I add). They play many older songs live, just as good as they used to. If you dislike them because theyre sellouts, or because theyre a lot more mainstream before, then good for you, but posting it is asking to be flamed. *leaves MyPurpleCrayon's post alone* :shock:

About 4 hours ago, I got home, turned my computer on (as usual), plugged in my iPod, and browsed forums as my iPod was updating. I happen to hace a song playing as this was happening, and out of nowhere, the song started skipping. Maybe 3 seconds after the skipping began, firefox froze, task manager refused to open, my mouse and keyboard were frozen. The only thing I thought to do was unplug my computer, and take out the battery, as I usually do when my computer freezes. (I use a Toshiba Satellite with Windows XP) I turn on my computer, after replugging in, and replacing the battery pack, only to find 8 strange symbols on my screen. I hit enter, the same symbols copied themselves. I tried hitting the space bar, then ecentually every other key (more or less), all of which gave the same results. I, being somewhat computer-challenged, unplugged, once again, took out my battery, replugged, replaced battery, etc, again, restarted it up, and so on. This time, my computer displayed the "Toshiba" screen, that usually appears before windows loads with the green bar thing, but then the screen blacked, and a bunch of computer language (sorry, can't elaborate) showed up, and appeared to be 1 paragraph attempting to perform a task, and another one saying something along the lines of "check the cords", and these 2 paragraphs kept appearing, one under the other. Seeing no way out, I resorted to unplugging, once again. I plugged back in, etc, etc... Now, the Toshiba screen appeared, followed by the Windows screen. I felt relieved... Unfortunately, I was acting too soon. After about 20 minutes of windows "loading", I was sent to a window stating that there was an error, and that I should hit "control+alt+delete" to restart. I was used to that command, and thought that this might be the end to my problems. Well, that has been repeating the past 2 hours, or so... (I have not unplugged it, since I am afraid of what else will happen :oops: ) I have also noticed a faint buzzing sound, that I am not familiar with, that seems to be coming from under my keyboard (although under my keyboard is my computer, itself...) I just (10 or so mins ago) inserted the driver cd (1 of 3), and was given the option to restore my system. I ignored this, and ejected the cd. (I spent a lot of money getting my home network set up, after the last system restore, due to a virus). Does anybody have any idea what is wrong with my computer? (Id also like to point out that the usual window with options such as "start windows usually" did not appear throughout this entire... "thing", which surprises me, since that is the message I usually recieve when my system has a problem, or something like that) Thanks

i have that same feeling, however i see people lower lvls with full dragon and im like pfft i dont have the chain... of course theirs always some1 richer then you out their in runescape i now have amassed a nice collection of treasure trail items. 2robin sets and such was nice. which i ended up sellin to achieve full guthan and verac. I see people like that, and wonder what lvl their main is :lol:

When I first started way way way back, I remember a friend of mine talking about one of his friends, and how he was so cool, and so good, etc, and then one day, I remember running into this friend, I told him about what my friend had said, and he bought me my first pair of armour :D People arent so nice anymore :cry:

I love how everyone plays rs for years, then they quit, and more or less say that the game is stupid and it sucks. (This is only AFTER they quit...)

Slayer is the only hard skill that cant be bought? Thieving cant be bought, agility cant be bought, mining cant be bought (many would probably quit before even thinking of 99 mining), along with others. World 66 sort of ruined it... Runecraft to 99 just means you had money to burn and sat in world 66 for hours and hours... Also, buying glorys for runecrafting isnt buying the skill... Its making it easier and faster... Sort of like powermining iron...

Even if you think its important, and consider it important, then bump it for that... But when its at the top of the front page... Thats just stupid, immature ("coincidentally" after my post), and against the rules. j00 r s0000000 phunne man!

I really dont see why this story is so special, or deserves to be bumped. All of the profit you made was from the work you did (making nats, strings, etc) except maybe 500k or so, though that all depends on how you value unstrung yew longbows (Id say less then a log, since the exp is pretty much halved). You couldve sold your med, and bought logs, made nats and strings, as you did, and you wouldve made even more money then you did, plus more exp... Same number of bows. People will now see this as a great story, seeing as the d med is worth less then half of what it used to, so theyre seeing it as you nearly doubling up with the yews for your med. Weather you think it deserves a bump, or not, last time I tried bumping an old thread that I found informative, it was locked, moved, and I was warned. (Bumping old topics is against the rules). If the mods here think we need to see a thread, they sticky it. This thread is far from very important, and was dead. :? (LOL at the people who dont read the post dates... :lol: )

I play both. $110 isnt that much, really, seeing as the runescape is spread out as $5 or so dollars a month, so it seems like a lot less. Xbox games are released, and more or less never get any major updates. Runescape gets almost weekly updates, and will continue to do so for quite some time. I get bored of RS, I sign onto my xbox. I get tired of xbox, I go play RS.

Do you have the answer to the question... "Why do new people to the forum always bump old threads?"? I mean youre new to the forums... You bumped an old thread... What the hell posessed you to bump a thread thats been dead for months... That has nothing to do with this thread, you couldve just left that and PM'ed him or something. Its sort of cool... Though we have forums like the official ones (even these ones) where we can already have auctions to sell items... Your idea is basically a general store that gives more money :? And 100 items at a time isnt enough, seeing as if you can set an item at 1 bil (which nobody would ever buy), then that item is more or less there until the auction is over. (Im sure more then one person would act foolish and set their reserve at 1 bil)... Would this auction house be wiped with every update, like all shops in RuneScape? As I said before, I see this as a very complicated general shop :o

Jagex has provided us with great market forums on their website. (I have thought of this idea before, and I think it could be worked in to POH's... sort of, maybe, lol)

It depends what sort of electronic device it is, and where it will be going... But for the most part, function is what I look for.

Good point, there... I dont think Jagex wants RuneScape to be full of the technology we have in modern times... I always had the impression that the game takes place a few centuries ago. (Though Im probably completely wrong) Edit - I mean the lifestyle, and the way things are done

I see engineering as a big change, and evolution is when something changes. It doesn't have to be just biology related and such. I dont know, lets not get off topic with one word, im sure what I mean by evolutionary is the same you mean by revolutionary. I just meant change pretty much. Evolution is very slow and gradual change... Revolution is a bit faster (Dont take my word for it)... What exactly is that supposed to mean?
