Wow, well done there. Have 2 pieces of Tier 9 25 now which is good (legs + shoulder). I had most DPS and Damage done for the first 3 bosses of ToC25 yesterday which is good (1.9k dps higher than anyone else for the 2nd boss :shock:) We then wiped on Anub a few times before calling it. Trying to run that half pug is impossible when we can't seem to split our DPS right.

My thoughts on this. It will be a flurry of topics/posts at the start but it would most likely quickly slow down. The boards would not be popular enough for topics on individual games/teams etc. What will most likely happen is that there'd be a thread for each sport/competition etc. which would get all the traffic, which is what I believe to be the case in the majority of cases already in off-topic. Having a sub-forum just for those topics in my opinion isn't needed. On top of that, due to most sports having seasons and thus there'd be a period where there's going to be next to no posts for weeks at a time due to sports being out of season.

This is a very promising Q&A and one that might get me back into the game if some of the things they said there come true.

ToC10 Hc is bloody hard. We had three half tries at the first boss tonight and just about made it halfway through Phase 1 :ohnoes: Was meant to be doing ToC25 with another guild but they were pissed off that we had more members than them (it was would have been at 15/10 split in our favour, which seems fair when we had more people sign up and when they only had 1 ranged DPS which we needed more so they rage quit) Was hoping to get my Tier 9 Shoulders tonight for the 2 piece bonus, but I guess that will have to wait until tomorrow :(

Smelly I see you had your questions answered :P I didn't get to ask a question but I really want to know if there will ever be skill specific content (such as Potions which you need 80 herblore or whatever to use, arrows which you need high fletching to use etc.) that are non-tradable to actually give people a reason to train there skills. Hopefully someone asked a question similar to that anyway. It's been a very interesting Q&A so far.

It's better to have "too many" moderators than not enough. I don't even think we have too many at the moment, we have enough so that the board is a "safe" place for users to browse and also while not leaving too much stress on some moderators. It's much better to spread the work load out over more moderators than have only a few moderators doing everything (as has pretty much been the case in the past).

Ugh wth. I only got the first boss down so far. Need the twins to drop that gun ToC10 is a walk in the park, seriously. The guild I'm in is not fantastic, we've not even cleared Ulduar yet (although we most likely are able to) and we can probably down ToC10 without any wipes at all if we all focused and didn't make any stupid mistakes. None of the bosses are really hard, Twin Val'kyr we struggled a bit with first time round but we two shot it yesterday (first try yesterday was only a test to try something which failed). Faction Champions is easy, just have to nuke one of the healers at the start and the fight is easy from then. With Anub you need to try saving one of the adds that spawns until Phase 2 to give you more time to DPS down the boss then in phase 3 just have to leave the DPS at roughly 50% hp and he'll go down fast.

1) It's best to have a lot of moderators so more likely than not the boards are covered pretty much 24/7. More coverage of the board should make it a better place for our users. 2) Global Moderators can moderate on all boards so in emergencies they can remove spam bot/spammer posts. etc if there are no local moderators on at the time. Super Moderators can also handle some bans and signature/avatar reports. 3) Moderators leave for various reasons from personal reasons to just not having enough free time any more. 4) See 3 5) It had been a while since we had any new moderators and we felt like there were certain times when there was a lack of moderators online. 6) This happened and still does happen, however we needed more than just a couple more people. On top of that Applications lets us see who is interested in the role and gives us a clearer picture of the user in question.

I'm loving being in a raiding guild. Cleared ToC10 normal today, got a new ring :D Got a 232 chest as well but it's probably not worth having. (no one else needed it so I got it incase I ever need hit) Did VoA25 and got Tier 9 legs :D Tomorrow after the Faction Champions in ToC25 I'll have enough for Tier 9 shoulders giving me the 2 tier bonus :)

It also gives a lot more user options. Such as number of topics per page etc. Although I'm not 100% sure what we're going to allow users to change, there is a lot more potential for you to customise the boards then on the current forum. It also has a lot of features that users have been requesting for a long time that were not possible on these boards. That's not going to mean we will use them but if we ever need to we have a lot more control over the board itself which should make it a better place for all people.

Yeah, more often then not in General Discussion it's probably better to make a new topic rather than bumping an old one simply because there's a "high" chance that a lot of posts in the old topic are now out dated and are pretty much of no use. For example it would be pointless bumping a topic such as "Why is Fletching so hard" (A made up topic :P) after there's been a huge fletching update that makes it easier for example. Just use your common sense and you should be fine.

I have to disagree there. I personally am really good at GH so the achieves come easy for me. Yeah, none of them are that hard. Just a bit annoying that some of them require you to be good on all 4 instruments :P

I don't think it's Impossible. Have to do Koralon --> Emalon --> Archavon DPS Koralon down to about 5% then leave a tank and a healer in the middle with him. Then go to Emalon and nuke him to about 5% too and bring him to Arcahavon. Them DPS Archavon like normal but kill the adds. When he gets to about 50% nuke down Emalon and Koralon before going all out on Archavon. Probably possible to do it Archavon then Emalon but I think that way might have more problems. You'd need 3 tanks, 3 healers than 4 uber DPS. It's hard but I don't see it as impossible. The 25 man version should be a lot easier.

Thought I'd be internetless by now, apparently not so I may have the chance to do ToC25 tonight, I really hope so as yesterday's ToC10 has really gotten me in the mood for some proper raiding rather than running Naxx puggs.

Joined a proper Raiding guild now, pugged Ulduar 10 yesterday and did everything up to Keepers. Today had my first Guild raid, ToC10. Most of us had not done it before so it was interesting. One shot Northrend Beasts and Jarxwhateverhisnameis. Wiped once on the Faction champions due to not having a proper plan first time. For the final boss atm the Twins. We wiped first time not really knowing what we were doing, second time one of the tanks messed up, third time one of the tanks was AFK at the start >_<, fourth time the instance server went down or something. Then we got it on the 5th try despite them getting a sucessful twin pact in at about 5% >_< I got some new legs and just about have enough tokens to upgrade to tier 8.5 chest to keep my tier 8 set bonus. Losing internet tomorrow for an unknown amount of time, hopefully have it back by Wednesday next week for the raid resets. We should be starting ToC25 next week and will finish ToC10. Also now maxed Tailoring and my server had the instance server upgrade this week so woo :D

Yes you can buy game cards. You need to get a "key" for the game which can either be bought online or bought as a retail box. However whichever you do you can Download the game.

You're doing it wrong.

The easiest way for them to raise the HP cap if they ever need to would be to make one HP level worth more than one HP. Say 1.5x for 150hp etc. However it's not quite at that stage yet.

Congrats everyone, well deserved and I'm sure you'll all do a fantastic job as you have been doing thus far :thumbup: The 2007 trainee applications started in Late August with the date for closing 5th September IIRC. It wasn't until late November when I found out I had been picked then Late December before I had become a trainee, then late January I was made a full mod, so it was about 5 months after my Application when I became a full moderator. It's been just under three months for these lot, a much faster turn around which is always a good thing.

I've been playing WoW for 6 months now and it's nothing like Runescape. I don't why people continually compare the two they are completely different games. While they're the two "biggest" MMORPGs that's the only thing they have in common.

3.2.2 sounds hot too Actually, Missile Barrage sucks now, but I guess the lower mana cost will make it useful and the 4x stack of Arcane Blast before firing it off will probably not effect DPS too much just save mana which is nice Although for the extra damage to offset the loss of faster Arcane Missiles you'd actually up using the same mana as before #-o
