  1. yes How compassionate of you. These people may have real problems and telling someone about those feelings is the first step to emancipating yourself from them. Let them get it off thier chest, if nothing else.

I think the guy who pushes you around hasn't though of the consequences of his actions and therefore has whatever is coming to him (be that a bloody nose or the teacher actually doing something about him being an [wagon] to you).
  3. I have a permanent plastic resin in some of my teeth to prevent tooth decay. Other than that, never had any problems.
  4. Yea, except the Bible says that Satan doesn't have the power to reward, and even he himself will be punished...Or is being currently, whatever. Worshipping Satan would be a one-way ticket to that same treatment, and where is the reward there? That's simple. Satanists (well, Laveyans) don't believe in christianity or the christian satan per se; they see satan as a symbolism of sorts who represents all of the so called 'sins' which, in thier philosophy (and, arguably, in reality [with the opposition of an obvious few, so don't rip my head off please]) all lead to physical and mental gratification. So to put all of that more simply, satanists believe the reward is in life, as there is no afterlife.

A theory is not yet proven using the scientific method. The Big Bang CAN not be proven using the Scientific Method, while Macroevolution HAS not been proven using the Scientific Method. They are both cut off at the first step, as neither has been observed. I really didn't expect anyone to take my post apart on a technicality. It was alluding to people of faith blocking thier ears with the defence that science is purely guesswork, which it is not. Even if a theory is not yet proven it does not mean that it is wrong, which creationists falsly assume. Thier mistake is that they try to use negative proof i.e. finding proof for thier claim by disproving another theory, which basically sais to me they have no proof for thier own claim (I think we can all maturely accept this at this stage, I'm referring to the existance of god here and his creation of the universe. The bible is not proof, by the way [that is, of course, if you want to debate within the realms of science]) so they try to rubbish the opposition.
  6. I miss Rage Against the Machine. A revolutionary band with integrity beyond thier years (thier first album was absolute gold).
  7. What on earth is tofu? (chemically I mean).
  8. No. I think it's a little obvious they were having a hard time looking for something to criticize. If it only shows the face of a beautiful woman (computerised makes it even wierder) and they rate it down for sexual content, then that is beyond ludicrous, seriously. Edit: In the game "Heavan Bound" - :wall: Biased much?
  9. Well, if you have a gun and someone else doesn't, you are more "fit" to survive. Just like if in the stone ages, if you had a spear and the other person had nothing, you were more fit. So we would all evolve to become pro's at killing each other and wielding guns. :P
  10. but clever people would lay traps for the dumb people they should still be able to survive usdeing there brains..., and if infact the clever people do all die, then surely thats evoloution, isnt that better for humans to evolve? So you'd want all of this to happen just to facilitate our evolution? Here's news for you; we never stopped evolving, it's just slowed down and I don't think a world wide game of survival of the fittest would be best for the human race right now.
  11. Without a doubt one of my favourite posts ever. =D> Haha, thanks. Hey I like your sig. Bill Hicks was awesome. Ironically, some of my philosophies on life come from him. If you think of life as just a ride, it all seems a bit better. "Don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride." : Another favourite would have to be "**** THAT, I WANT MY ROCK STARS DEAD!!" :P
  12. One Last Time - Lynchmada Anyone who wants to get into a good Aussie metal band, give Lynchmada from the Gold Coast a shot. I heard a song of thiers "Lover" on triple J and it blew me away. I now plan to buy thier album.
  13. YES Another that seriously made me feel physically ill (make that mentally, I actually felt depressed after hearing it) was a techno remix of the song "Hello, I love You" by the Doors. The day they made that remix: Satan shouted with glee as he let this loaf drop, twice as many kids in Africa starved, and; 100,000 angels threw up and died simultaneously. :wall: :wall: :-X :-X     I want, ney, I need to strange something. *Deep breaths*

Too true. It's rediculously counter intuative and, as we know from the Islamic Extremist example, incredibly dangerous. Which ever way you look at it, one could argue [insert diety here] gave us a questioning, inquiring nature. Thus, to supress it could be going against [inser diety here]'s will and purpose for us being here.
  15. It amazes me how we have devised tools to measure such incredibly small amounts of energy and particles that are released when two larger particles collide.
  16. It's always baffled me why people are against eating meat because it's 'cruel' when any carnivore in nature takes down it's prey brutally and sometimes it's not an instant kill. Every kill humans make these days is more or less instant. Some would argue that the animals we breed to kill live in poor environments yet animals in nature can starve when prey population die off/migrate or if there is a drought etc. Nature is cruel. Focusing on humans brutality towards animals is.. well.. wierd to me.

If you take that apporach then convientley all of Gods work can't be proved by us and by that token, disproved. Which to me is a cop-out. If God can do anything he wants, how would it be considered "disproved?". After all, it does say in the Bible, for God, nothing is impossible. He has no restrictions or laws to abide by, but his own word. And because you can't show evidence of Gods ability, you say he doesn't exist? Great thinking. ~Defender~ Quite simply because science, by defenition, deals purely with the natural and not the supernatural.
  18. It's good to hear they aren't all tight [wagon] (sorry about the stereotyping, I know it's wrong, as are all stereotypes) and they can look past the assumption of things that might offend thier belief. I tend to agree. Parents should let kids have thier own beliefs, as long as they don't damage society.
  19. Atom smashers don't use enough particles to be dangerous. Basically, they use two, yep two, and smash them into one another. Atomic weapons use kilograms of particles in a chain reaction. HUGE difference.
  20. We won't die from global warming, maybe in 100 something years we will but i will be dead then... How compassionate of you...

There's a reason why people such as yourself will never accept science and an old earth or evolution. "It's just a theory." If you go by that implication (that science just uses guesswork) then you are wrong, and, somewhat hypocritically, you cling to your beliefs when they are no more credible than science. But what you believe is up to you. If you want to keep on assuming (and wrongly implying) that these things are "just a theory" then go ahead, thats your perogative.
  22. warri0r45 replied to warri0r45's topic in Off-Topic
There are plenty of fundamentalist christians (although they are a minority, so don't try and twist my words) but instead of killing people, they kill science. Ironically them being critical of things like evolution gives the theory a lot of analysis and hence makes it stronger. I would still be interested to know from a Christian viewpoint if the flood covered the tip of mount everest (as I think it alludes to in the bible, but that's why I'm asking for clarification :? ) and if they believe it can be explained by science or is purely supernatural.
  23. What a depressing topic. Feeling the need to question your existance is just so counter intuitive and will only be of any good if you fill the gaps with [insert diety here] which promises [insert afterlife here]. Listen to music. Go outside. Love someone. Eat Ice cream and peaches.
  24. Not even LaVeyan Satanists worship satan. LaVeyan Satanism is more of a philosophy of how to live your life which means indulging in the good, pleasurable life, basically.
  25. Does it slightly bother you at all that you indirectly implied that people who don't believe what you do have worthless lives?
