Release your inner child! FUN EVENT ^_^ (cancelled)
indalecio replied to me4391's topic in General Discussion
Are you saying I could have a toy soldier march all the way across the wild? -
Why would you build 6 portals that all lead to Ardougne?
-
You can mine granite?
-
I sent him a private message, but he's not on right now. Will anybody else do it? Pleeeeeease?
-
I have all the things you need for a fury, but no money to pay a crafter. If anybody out there would do it for free, that would be fantastic. Or just trade me a pre-made fury for my stuff. I'll give you the following things for a fury. I'm going to bed now, but if interested send me a message. (On tip.it, not RS).

WHY THE [bleep] DO I ALWAYS HEAR ABOUT THIS SORT OF STUFF AFTER THE FACT?

King Black Dragon Slaying Guide - By Kaeporo (AOW)
indalecio replied to Leesters's topic in General Guides
I've just been to kill the KBD. No head with 5 kills, so it's probably moderately rare, and definitely not a 100% drop. -
I'm jealous of successful merchants because i [bleep]ing suck at merchanting.
-
I wouldn't have done the same thing as Durial, but onyl because I know I would get banned for it. I'd rather be poor and lvl 95 than be a super-rich lvl 3.
-
If it helps, when I joined RuneScape in November of 2004, santa's were 300k.

Let me ask you something, creator-of-this-thread person. Are you an American? If so, did you know that in your very own American society, less than 5% of the population controls over 95% of the wealth? But do you know why nobody else complains? Because everyone is given an equal opportunity to be successful. What you are suggesting isn't fair. It is, in fact COMMUNISM

Durial's interview gives 'scapers a bad rap
indalecio replied to Nazgul740's topic in General Discussion
Hey, sorry about spouting on about the suffering of mankind and the "fierce enjoyment" you can get from it. I guess I got carried away in the moment. -
Geez ... that hurts guys. :? EDIT: I wouldn't consider myself mindless, (I.Q. tested at 145) or a child (I'm 17 years old), but to each his own I guess. If you get off on putting down other people, don't let me stand in your way. What I said to what's-his-name wasn't an insult. I was just saying, merchanting is buying low and selling high. What he was suggesting was essentially fletching. EDIT: I wasn't joking when I said that hurts. I just wanted some advice ...
-
Thanks for the suggestion, but you clearly don't understand just what marchanting is ...

Not really .. people sell runes to this place to get tokkul, and it looks like somebody just sold a very large quantity of them to the shop before i got there. Honest to God that is a real picture.
-
Then you should sell them? Give you a 1,750k headstart. What i meant to say was that nobody buys them. I sat in world 2, I tried the forums, nothing works. EDIT: Those are all good ideas, though I think the D. Sq. sounds the most appealing. I've already tried runes, and I don't mess with treasure trail items.. EDIT: I just went to try that, look what I got. Walked into the rune shop, but somebody else had already been there ...

If you go to the lgin screen for a world, and then add that page to your favorites list, you should be brought back to the login screen when you click the link. As far as I know this only works with IE.

That is because every single one of these guides is the same. :D -
Durial's interview gives 'scapers a bad rap
indalecio replied to Nazgul740's topic in General Discussion
Hitler will be remembered for longer than, say, Mother Theresa. Sometimes the easiest way to make yourself memorable is to destroy. Sorry to disappoint all you self righteous, "Honest", "Upstanding" players, but put in Durial's shoes I would have done the same thing. Maybe something even worse. People keep asking, "But how would -you- like it if you put months of work into getting something, and then you were killed and lost it." I have a counter-question that basically puts you in the other person's shoes. "How would -you- like it if you could receive all the benefits from months of hard work, but without having to put in months of hard work." Hahaha. There are too many of you to quote, but all of you who are calling Durial a monster instead of a hero, you are just being self righteous fools. Durial embraced the dark, jealous side of his nature. He stared into the darkness of his heart and liked what he found. There is good and bad in all of us. Durial just let the dark side of his personality take over for a brief moment. I know the rush you get when you PK somebody. Multiply that by 100x, and that is probably what he felt. Butterflies in your stomach, heart pounding, breathing fast. Like a drug ... it's intoxicating. The fierce enjoyment you draw from the suffering of your fellow humans. Good and bad? Do you really think there is such a thing? Don't be so naive ... -
I've already tried that one. I have about 5k deaths stewing in my bank, collecting dust.
-
I have 2,800k. I need, within the next 24 hours, 4,600k. Whoever suggests the most effective merchanting technique will be declared the winner. Take ... THE MERCHANTING CHALLENGE!

Let me compare this to something less abstract so you can undertsand. If I own a Ferrari Enzo, the real thrill of driving the car doesn't come from the speed. There are other, cheaper cars that can go as fast or faster than a Ferrari Enzo. The thrill doesn't even mostly come from how it looks. The real enjoyment that comes from owning something like that comes from the fact that almost nobody else has one. There is a limited supply of them, and not many people have them, so if -I- have one that makes me better than everybody else ... at least in one respect. If rares were reduced in price to the point that everybody could have one, they wouldn't exactly be "rares" anymore, now would they. The name itself embodies the feeling. They are fun to have because they are rare. Whatever, if I go on anymore I'll be talking in circles. To finish off my little comparison, let's just say ... if -everyone- could afford a Ferrai Enzo, then they wouldn't be as much fun to have, and the people who had them in the first place would be extremely resentful.

if jagex doesnt have a reset if proves they care nothing for
indalecio replied to soupnatizzle's topic in General Discussion
I think if you would pay attention, the reason they said they weren't going to reset is because it would hurt alot more people than it would help. Let's say I has just made 10m at barrows, or gotten a D. Chain from the Kalphite Queen, but I had to give that up because some other people got killed? The point wait, maybe 100-200 people were killed all told, but rolling back gamesaves would affect -THOUSANDS- of people. Tens, no HUNDREDS of thousands, all for the misfortune of a select few. Now I do sympathize for the people who lost their items, and I'm sure the good people at JaGex do as well, but they have to think of everyone else. They can't disadvantage everybody just because of an isolated group. To put it bluntly ... "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." -
I didn't believe this when i found out either but Runescape...Is just... A Game. I swear! my mom told me!!! if people cry over lost items, then i would GLADLY pay for their therapy. Basketball is just a game. Why don't you go tell Kore Bryant and Michael Jordan and Shaq and all those guys to get a life? EDIT: And I may be mistaken, but I believe that the people he killed could attack back. The only real issue was ... who would really be able to stand up to that kind of power without being prepared first?
