  1. Listen, as bad as it was, just thank God it wasn't worse. How could it have been worse, you ask? It could have happened on World 2 ...
  2. That really kind of misses the point of my post ... thanks for taking the humour out of it, guys.
  3. I dunno' .. I still think a S.W.A.T. team made up of JaGex Mods would be more appropriate. You realize they can create items for themselves out of thin air. If he wants to try and kill peoplewith mage, how would he deal with 10 people with 99 range coming after him in full Karil's? EDIT: I can see Zezima or N0valyfe or some other 1337 taking him out. JaGex would probably give a huge reward to anyone who did.
  4. Of course, it would only be a matter of time before the same glitch happened to somebody else, and he went on a killing spree. You can preach at me all day, but there is no way you can honestly tell me if you could take people's items right out of their hands and there was nothing they could do about it, that you wouldn't be doing the same thing. I don't think he should get banned ... Anybody would do what he is doing.
  5. That wasn't the issue at hand. I didn't say how I would feel if I was the target of an attack like that, I said how I would feel if I was the attacker. And that feeling is good. Now before this turns into any MORE! of a flame war, let me express my view on the matter. I guarantee you what JaGex is going to end up doing, is put together a squad of shock troops made up of the Lvl 126 Jagex mods and go take the guy out. That would be a temporary solution to the problem at least.

  7. Dream on, nub-ball. This guy's ice barraging anybody he sees, he's gotten a green phat already. He's moved it all onto a mule. His main's getting banned. Well excuse me, but tell me you wouldn't love that to happen to you. Attack anybody you want, and they have no way to defend themselves. I've already read through most of the other thread about this (the long one), and now that I am better informed the only thing I regret is that I CANNOT DO IT TOO.
  8. They're probably going to have to roll back game-saves for this. Otherwise they'll have tons of people claiming lost items. I really wouldn't be surprised though. This happened to me the other day with a fencing ring, but every time I tried to attack somebody it told me "You need to be in a higher lvl wilderness to attack that player." Or whatever that message you get is. I couldn't even attack anyone the same lvl as me. This has always been everybody's worst nightmare. A glitch that turns the whole world into the wilderness. It happened to me even a few times before POH's, but I got the same message, like I was talking about above. More interesting than the bug itself is, I wonder how the hell JaGex is going to resolve this. I bet the people who were killed get a big cash settlement.
  9. what the hell are we doing here and how can i get a piece of it!
  10. For the sake of everyone in the future, and so there is no arguing on the subject, I present this thread to be memorized forever.
  11. There was one of these in RSC, but JaGex thought it was a bad idea for some reason and removed it. It would certainly level out the prices of skirts\legs from clue scrolls.
  12. Just want to make one thing clear to you guys ... EVERYBODY is a Monty Python fan.
  13. I am sick to death of all this pseudo-intelligent banter going on. I'm 16 years old, and as the captain of my high school debate team, I know my share of big words and how to make an intelligent arguement. To all you guys saying all these things about medi-evil culture and the exact use of this certain medi-evil weapon, just keep in mind that most of us are teenagers, and ALL of us are discussing an online game. Go flaunt your massive vocabulary elsewhere. The people who try to sound like ivy-league graduates are, in my opinion, worse than the people without a glimmer of intelligence. EDIT: Sorry, just noticed the time of the last post before mine. Well, I made a good point anyway.
  14. I would like to clear something up for everybody, as there seems to be alot of confusion on the matter. RuneScape is not a world in the past; it is in fact a world set over 3,000 years in the future. In the aftermath of WWIV, the world was a place of confusion and despair. The nuclear winter caused by the detonation of hundreds of plutonium-based bombs killed over 99% of th e worlds population. Now, in the year 5000 A.D., we are just reaching the stage of civilization that our ancestors achieved in the year 1500 A.D. The dragons you struggle so valiantly to overcome are descended from mere newts and lizards. The infamous Kalphite Queen is a direct descendant of our scarab beetle, although it has been throughly mutated by generations of radioactive exposure. Your common horse was made completely extinct by the nuclear war; the closest descendant still living is the Hellhound. And in this world of desolation and death, where mankind's total population has only recently exceeded 1,000,000, an oppressive new king has seized power. That king's name is Zezima, and only one thing left in the world can stop him. Half man, half machine, he is ... INDALECIO, NUCLEAR JUSTICE WARRIOR!! Coming February 2007 to a theater near you.
  15. Teleport runes add no weight to your backpack, and Camelot only uses two inventory spaces. In any quest where you can take damage from anything it is wise to bring some means of teleportation. And preferably short hand teleports, since a Ring of Dueling or other teleport jewelry is interrupted when you take damage. The only jewelry that you could really use would be and Amulet of Glory, since it brings up the teleport menu much faster than regular teleport jewelry. Or even bring an ectophial or enchanted lyre, so safety is just a single click away. I sympathize, but I wont say your death was unfair.
  16. I am absolutely certain that if you keep a steady rhythm clicking while mining, it will increase your chances of getting the ore faster. This is because with a rune pick, you have a cretain % of a chance in getting the ore on your first swing (or with a rune pick it's half swing), and if you don't happen to get it on your first swing then your character will strike the rock twice more before renewing his or her efforts. If you keep a steady pace, clicking every half swing, then you can effectively mine 50-75% faster. This doesn't seem to be superstition, as I've tested it against people with higher mining levels than me and it almost always results in me getting the ore faster ... although half of the whole thing is just blind luck. So that's my thing that many people call superstition and I call proven fact. Another thing that many people chalk up to superstition is, when mining gems in Shilo Village, wearing a full charged Amulet of Glory will help you mine faster. This is, in fact, not superstition. When you charge an Amulet of Glory, it tells you that now your chance of getting gems while mining is greatly increased. Since the rocks in Shile Village yield gems and nothing else, wearing a charged Amulet of Glory really will double or triple your mining speed. While it is usually very foolish to rely on superstition, all myths also have a certain degree of truth in them. There is no true or false, only perspective.
  17. To paraphrase Modest Mouse ... It was worth it just to learn that for the future.
  18. When they added that Necromancer guy near Port Sarim, everyone thought that was a hint at Necromancy or Summoning coming soon. But look what has yet to happen? Don't get your hopes up man.
  19. EDIT: Here are some pics. Put them all together and you should get the idea. And also here is some information. -------------- Chaos Elemental -------------- Race - Elemental Appearance - A big dust-bunny thing. Level - 305, was it? -------------- ATTACKS: -------------- Shoots a red globe of light - Teleports target one screen away. Shoots twin balls of green light - Removes target's equipped items. Shoots a kaleidoscopic whorl of light - Damages target - Max appears to be 29-30. (See bottom pic.)
  20. I think the real question is this. Being one of THE monsters, if you know what I mean. An extremely powerful, 300+ monster ... Will it bust up cannons like the KBD and KQ?
  21. When I said that doesn't include the brothers, I mean that number was my kill count, minus 6 kills. (For the brothers.) And I've tried killing things alone, without the brothers. Didn't feel it was worth the time, considering the pitiful rewards. Even if my theory turns out to be totally wrong, at least it wouldn't be a complete waste.
  22. A precursor of things to come ... As it stands; --------------------- Runs and Rewards --------------------- Run Killed* Deaths --------------------- 1 6 41 2 8 50 3 5 45 4 12 45 5 4 30 6 5 0 - - Half Key *This is always skeletons. This number does not include the Brothers.
