  1. I know exactly what you mean, for like 2 weeks straight I've been averaging 1 kurast or turoth assignment for every other task I get. But the ranged xp I can get on these task is definatly worth it plus the clues and other drops more than pay for my time there. I killed 700+ kurasks before finally getting a mystic top :)
  2. I dont know the individual prices but the full set is around 12m - 12.5m I paid 12.2m for mine a week ago, sellers were asking 12.5m and most buyers were asking between 12.2m and 12.3m. I got lucky and some kid decide he liked 12.2m and accepted my offer :)
  3. Major congratz on your soon to be accomplishment of 85 slayer. :D I suggest picking your favorite slayer monster (mine being kurasks because they are freaking beastly looking, and cuz I've made mad money on tasks down there) and hosting the party there. My 85 slayer party definatly be in the slayer dungeon cuz its the bomb. I remember the first time I ever visited the dungeon, "oooo look at all the cool monsters down here, I bet they drop lots of sweet stuff!" attack cockatrice *click*. "ouch! dam thats a lucky hit for a lvl 37" oo not again, but i can survive, I'm a invincible level 70." Unfortunatly for me the next message i saw was "oh dear your dead"! Definatly was afraid to visit there again. But anyways good luck on the party planning and congratz again on reaching lvl 85 :P
  4. The race between these two players is really close, Lilyuffie88 is definatly active because she has been gaining xp lately. I respect lilyuffie88 because she doesnt seem too concerned about taking over the number one spot. She's just having fun doing what she likes (apparently range and bury bones  ) . When she feels ready she will train the final two. I also think that if she decides to go for 99 runecrafting; the time this takes will cut her xp gains by enough that zezima will be able to catch her. Of course she could prove me wrong. edit: woops didn't know she was a she :o
  5. I fished there all the way up till level 68 because all the spamming is helarious. I just sit there and laugh at all the goofy comments people make. Helped me get through the boredoom of watching my character feeblily attempt to catch lobsters. The stuff people say down there truelly makes me lmao. Fun times down at catherby. All you really have to do if you dont like it is turn chat off. Then you just have to deal with the mad crowd chasing after the fishing spots
  6. good story i liked it. tip on the lvl 3 clues in wild, only bring coordinate tools, weapon and clue. That way if you start to get pked you can drop a few of the tools and still protect clue. Thats what I do everytime and I've never lost a clue. Kinda a pain to have to get the tools back but heh.
  7. I saw in the guide that you cannot get abysal demon tasks without being 86 slayer and was wondering if this applies to any other monsters? I know its not true for kurask as this pic proves:
  8. I total support this idea and think it would be a great step for jagex to take. I just think it needs some improvement. First of all implementing these events would cause a major shift of focus away from noncombat skills. Non combat skills would be pushed to the side and those of us who enjoy them would feel amost abandoned. The only reason many players would have noncombat skills is for earning cash to fund their participation in these events. I also agree with the fact that account trading and hacking would become a major problem and jagex would need to step up their securities against such things. To solve some of these problem you could create events that having high non combat skills such as thieving, smithing, crafting, etc... would improve your chances of winning. In these events you would make your own weapons and armor, and you could have obsticals that being able to climb would help greatly. Adding these twists to the events would make it much more relied on your skill and knowledge of runescape rather than simply your combat stats. They could also add requirements such as completing all quests and completing new challenges that require actual skill (like the fight caves) not fast clicking mastery. This way people who enter the events would have quite a bit of experience playing runescape doing things that bots couldn't do. Of couse this still would require jagex to make rs close to 100% secure.
  9. I agree, hellhounds are the best if your looking for clues. No other drops to crowd your inventory, meaning you will most definatly get 1 clue per trip. I also agree that between 1:50 and 1:100 is the most common drop rate; although I seem to have this strange power to make them drop in the first one or two. I've probally gotten a clue off the very first kill at least 3 or 4 times.
  10. Clue says: "Probally filled with books on magic" I've checked all the bookcases in the wizard's guild and wizard's tower; not sure where to check next.
