A friend of mine was the one posting it on the HLF several times over, eventually he got forumbanned with no reason why. Of course, it's kind of obvious why. They must really not like this site or something. "Posting it [..] several times over" -- sounds like spamming. Not really surprising that he was banned for it. It wasn't spam. He posted one thread, it got hidden with no reason given. He posted another thread and it got completely deleted, again with no reason. He wasn't creating several threads at once, just continuing the discussion. As I said above: That's still asking to get banned, IMO. They hid it, so they obviously don't want it posted, or it violates their rules, or it isn't on topic, or whatever. And his response is to repeat his actions? That's just not very smart. He could have contacted someone if he wanted a reason why, rather than ignoring it and giving it another try. It's just stupid to repeat your actions after Jagex has clearly demonstrated that you've done something wrong -- explanation or not. If he wanted an explanation, he should have asked for one rather than just doing it again. Tip.It has very different standard operating procedures than Jagex, but if a Tip.It moderator hid a post on our forum and the person immediately reposted it because they "weren't given a reason," then they would get in trouble (not a ban, but still in trouble). That's just common sense.

Tripsis, have you read the WWW trilogy? Based off of the description of the book you're reading, you'd like it. I don't know if you've read the Ender's series(at least the goodreads account that I think is yours doesn't have it listed), but it's the same general idea. An artificial intelligence has formed within the nodes of the internet and learns about humanity from a a young girl who recently had surgery to give her eyesight. WWW: Wake WWW: Watch WWW: Wonder I haven't read it. It sounds pretty cool though! I'll add it to my list and check it out soon. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

I hated the old tutorial island. I actually started RuneScape, was so bored with tutorial island that I quit RuneScape in the middle of it and didn't return back to try again for at least a year. I haven't actually seen/experienced the new tutorial, but I'm pretty confident that it's miles better than the old one. As other people have already said, you always look at the past in a more positive light. When you experience something for the first time, everything is brand new. That's why you feel like you can go on adventures and that's why you enjoy the content. But now, you've been playing for years so adventuring seems a little stupid or it isn't exciting because you know all the places and you've been to them all before.

I'm currently reading MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza. I've been SO EXCITED for this book and I'm glad that it's AWESOME so far!! Artificial intelligence, military, Bourne Identity-esque... talk about awesome. I hope it stays that way. ;) Too many of my highly anticipated books have been let downs lately. :(

Right now I'm reading The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. It's... okay.. I think. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I was kind of hoping it'd be ground breaking and amazing and un-put-down-able. I feel like I don't really know where it's headed. It's not exactly bad though. Meh.

What Sy_Accursed said! The left side menu is exactly the same. The only time it's not, is if your resolution falls below 1024x768. Then a bar pops up at the bottom that has the exact same menu. The only difference is that it's along the bottom instead of on the left.

What do you mean by that exactly? Like, how is it an issue and how does it differ from the old site?

I'm viewing that site, these forums, and everything else on an ASUS VS247H-P, with the sharpening set to non-interfering perfection. It's definitely anything but a CRT, and the legibility on the new site beta isn't that great for quite a few background colors because of the font/background mixture. Which, BTW, both the old and new sites are being affected in terms of background colors at the moment. Somebody brightened up the yellow background used in the skill calcs, and/or unbolded something that should still be bold, and I can tell! :blink: ~D. V. "They know something's really changed..." Please do not come onto the Tip.It Times topic to make random comments about Tip.It as a whole and then follow it up with baseless accusations (which are kind of rude, to be honest). If you want to make a complaint, you can go elsewhere to do that. But please do not discuss non-article-related things on this topic. (That includes the Times as a whole. As another user pointed out, there is a dedicated topic for that.)

Agreed. I legitimately don't understand why people don't like it. Is it because combat is no longer ridiculously easy and requiring no skill? Lol. Honestly, I hate combat in RuneScape for YEARS. For the longest time, I had high skill levels and really low combat. I just found it so mind numbingly boring to stand there, click once, and wait to kill your opponent. At least now combat is more varied and actually engaging. Except skilling isn't anymore interesting. It's far more repetitive so I really don't understand the point you are trying to make. Anyway, the exp rates for combat are far too high. Monsters need more lifepoints. My point is that combat is how significantly more engaging than how it was before. That point still stands, regardless of how you feel about skilling.

Yeah that's the drop shadow I was talking about removing. It can easily be removed, but does is it actually difficult to read? It's fine with me. But I guess I could be alone in that. :P
