Tip.it Dungeoneering recruitment forum

Yeah, that's what I was exactly thinking cooldog. But then again, what did we do with BA? Yeah, I know it isn't a skill but if we did something for that, we could follow that model? Who knows. -

I was thinking Help and Advice as the request for a partner sticky is there if I remember correctly. I think it would be along the same lines as that? -
Think of it this way. Before, there were no "communities" only one large, united Runescape. Now, we have groups of players with similar stats and more similar iterests. We aren't "splitting up" communities with this update, the OLD system was a division of communities. There are still places where people aren't divided. The communities that are divided, such as "Tactics", can now be more focused on issues that are relevant to a certain group. Level 1800+ players don't want to see tactics for how to defeat the awesomely challenging KBD. Similarly, free players dont want to see tactics for GWD. At least, thats my understanding of the idea. Ok, so in basic terms, rather than grouping the people they are instead focusing on grouping the ideas? That would make sense, I guess the part that makes no sense is the off topic section. Why would it depend if you are a member or not affect your opinion and thoughts about something not dealing with the game? But thanks for the help in clarifying it, it helped me out. :)

Maybe not a forum, but a sticky perhaps? I'm just thinking of what I would like as a user and also I don't know how much activity dedicating a whole forum to it would be... But I do agree something could be done with this. -

It makes no sense to me to split up community. I was always taught communities are to bring people together, not separate them?

Let users play the game as they want to. No need to discuss what they could be doing or what they should be doing, etc. With this, this topic is locked.

The mind is a powerful tool. It can be used for innovation, intelligence and fun. The many joys of having a ethical and intelligent thought will never be able to be grasped due to the unimaginable. The mind can create scenarios that could never happen with just a simple thought. Oh the power this thing can have. But as the cheesy super hero saying, "With great power comes great responsibility." This line brings out so much more thought when considering the mind as power. Also the saying goes as "Knowledge is power" so it just reinforces the fact. Our mind comes with great responibility. But what kind of responsibility do we have with our mind? As a thinker, I like to contemplate thoughts as they pass through my mind. Why do we communicate the way we do, why do Americans have a task orientated thought process, what color does a smurf turn if you choke it? Questions are all around us and I believe it is our duty to hear them. You would think I would say to answer the questions, but life isn't here to figure it out. There are just those things that can't be answered. Since there are questions that won't ever be answered, then why bother answering any questions in the first place? Understanding. With understanding, our horizons reach so much farther. A deep appreciation concludes an understanding and with appreciation, life can be fulfilled to its utmost. Without life at its utmost, it leads us to an ever ending quest to seek out an answer that we can't find: "Why?" The ambigious 'Why' can never truly be solved except in this one rhetorical thought: "Why not?" Students will moan and gripe when a professor answers a question with a question, but the students aren't the only ones learning in the classroom. Asking questions in return of a question just continues the thought which we already defined as power. Also to consider with too much thought, our minds can become corrupt. Intaking what we shouldn't ruins what we have been churning in our heads and eventually make it bad. So having the responsibility of knowing what to put in and keep out is the most important thing we can do to keep our power safe and valuable. I guess what I am trying to say is that our minds hold the power. It has the key to unlock joy. And by guarding our minds will allow us to keep this power, the key, which is joy. With joy, the possibilities are unimaginable. :)

Ah, very interesting on the aspect of timing. PKers do need every second and half second on their side. Thanks for that thought. And AlxeMen, I understand where you are coming from. :) I feel like it has been a generational shift in how internet lingo goes, but I mean, as I said by looking at my previous posts, I used to type like that. I never used the phrase "L" but for example I used "hawt". I'm starting to understand though and that helps appreciate the culture in which I participate in (which in this case is Tip.it and Runescape in general.) Thanks guys, I appreciate the thoughts and ideas.

I would love to have Bric-A-Brac with a degree. :P This is a very interesting perspective to think about. It has always been rumored and guessed at, but I never thought I would see the day when a level reaches past 99 as a cap. Now the rumors may continue on whether this will or would be formulate to all skills... the plot thickens.... hmmm....

They are in random rooms. You will know you can mind a rock when it says "Mine _____" You can't miss it if you are running around looking for one.

Eff school. Scape fo' life, son. Ha, if only there was a degree in Runescape, I'd go for my PhD. I just don't want to be taught by a dragon in fear of getting an answer wrong...

What happened is that people subjectively decided to have a connotated idea of what a 'skill' is. Let this new skill expand your horizon and thinking pattern and accept the new change of pace with a new skill. I particularly enjoyed playing the few hours I put into it. I certainly will see my grades drop because of this and my bank account will see another month subscription taken out. :) Let the splunking continue! :D

Answer me this: Why do we say what we say? As a communication major, I try to learn and understand how people communicate both verbally and nonverbally to each other. And something that has been on my mind is internet lingo. I looked at a previous post of mine and I used the word 'hawt' and I wonder why I said it like that. To answer the question, I don't know. Your guess would be as good as mine. But in particular is the "L" I keep on seeing. Are we that conservative with our time that we have to utilize one letter phrases? Oh well, to make this short, why do you say what you say?
