  1. That was when I was young. A year or 6, I think. I dreamt I was with my mother in a very obscure shop that was a few blocks away from where we live. We got some stuff, and we went to the counter to pay for it. Then the lady at the counter told she wanted to kiss me mother because we bought something. When she almost reached my moms cheek, I saw her big teeth and she bit my mother in her neck. She was a vampire dressed up as a clerk. I never wanted to go to that little shop.
  2. If it's about hot women, no. If it's about new technology on computers, yes. It must be fun, all those people are constntly smiling.

    Smoking

I've been smoking for eight years, and last december I stopped. Not for health or money reasons (they're a nice bonus), but just for proving to myself that I can actually stop something. I didn't have any trouble quiting. I don't mind people around me smoking. Only when I'm having dinner.
  4. Shake, Rattle and Rock So...This is what your grandparents got to see at the drive in. A bunch of squares want to ban Rock 'n Roll because it spoils todays (read the 50s) youth. Nelson, 'Axe' and the kids of Teen Town disagree of course. After some hustling and songs from Fats Domino and Joe Turner there comes a courtcase where the squares need to prove that Rock 'n Roll is bad, and Nelson and the kids need to prove that it isn't. I don't need to tell you that everything works out fine. Not very good (not that I was expecting that), but a lot of fun. Too bad that the character 'Axe' was a little bit annoying. The Funeral guy and Horace were pretty funy though. Not to be missed for the Zappa fan.
  5. I think that in the end the PS3 will be the best console. When more people have bought the console (which will happen after a price-drop) more and better exclusives will come. The system is by far the most powerful, and the BlueRay drive is an awesome feature with the eye on the future. Not only for movie watching, but also for games (I pointed this out earlier, but everybody said that the disc size didn't really matter?). You're all writing the PS3 off way too soon. Sorry Bubs, I'm not a fan-boy, I'm just looking at it realistically.
  6. Karate Kid I remember this watching it when I was very young. I was with my grandparents, and I was watching this with my grandma. The blind and deaf dog Floortje was on the couch and I had bugels and coke, I thought it was so good at the time. And now that Floortje, Mr. Miyagi and grandma passed away I saw it again. And thank God, it was still fantastic.
  7. I can't believe how many people write of the PS3 because the games in the first year aren't titles that you buy a console for. If I'm perfectly honest, PS3 has got more interesting titles so far than the 360 had half a year after it's release. And it deffinitly has got better games than the Wii at the moment.
  8. No, my fellow teen, this has never happened to me. But if it would've happened to me I would've told her where she could stick that book.
  9. By choosing the nickname Dark History you woke up your sleeping 'dark side'. You see, that nickanem is cursed. After you've chosen it things will start with nightmares, but they will grow worse and worse and eventually you'll start losing your grip on reality, you don't know whats nightmare and real anymore. If I were you, I'd ditch that nickname really fast and choose another one. A more happy one. Like, Im_A_Happy_Fairy_Queen or something. And don't watch Dante's Peak or is this your mother?

  12. Why should people see sequels as stand alone films? It's a sequel after all. It's only logical that you compare it with the quality of the movie that has gone before it. Especially when it has got the same director, writer, actors, composer. And then if you see what they have done with the previous two movies the third one is almost unacceptable. They've set a certain standard with their first two movies. If you're going off that path, alright, that's fine with me. But at least make something out of it. The third Godfather didn't do that, so it's a bad sequel. I understand what you're tryng to say though. Compare the Godfather pt. 3 with Scary Movie 3, and The Godfather is the better movie. But that's not how it works.
  13. New: (Hope they will finally send it, instead of canceling it again. ) Second hand: The New World Bottle Rocket Go Lady in the Water And with these purchases I got to 600. :XD:
  14. Shockwave - The Ultimate Doom Haaaaaaaaaaaaard. 8-)

  16. I think we can put the Godfather part 3 up there. Especially when you see the quality of the first two movies it's unbelievable that they made something like this.
  17. The Big Trail it was the Duke's 100th birthday, so I had to watch a movie with him. So it was the big trail, the first role he played, well the first big role. And it was pretty good. Too bad it was such a flop back in the day (Widescreen), and made Wayne play in low budget junk.
  18. This has got nothing to do with Lp's music taste, it being good or not. But why are you impressed with somebodies taste in music?
  19. Cheery? Right. You haven't listened to Steely Dan. But hey, it's alright.
  20. Yea, indy, you need to make a back up file in 2.4 and import it to 3.0. :) The first time it doesn't work and only adds 50 titles. Remove all of those, and import them again. ;) Wishlist kind of changed at the end of the day. Dropped W.C. Fields Collection 2, Bicycle Thieves Criterion and Unfaithfully yours. Final order was: 1. The Val Lewton Horror Collection: - Cat People - Curse of the Cat people - I walked with a Zombie - The Body Snatcher - Isle of the Dead - Bedlam - The Leopard Man - The Ghost Ship - The Seventh Victom - Shadows in the Dark 2. Astaire and Rogers Ultimate Collection: - Flying Down to Rio - The Gay Divorcee - Roberta - Top Hat - Follow the Fleet - Swing Time - Shall We Dance - Carefree - The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle - The Barkleys of Broadway 3. La Conquista 4. Pandora's Box Criterion Collection 5. Monsters and Madmen Criterion Collection: - The Haunted Strangler - Corridors of Blood - The Atomic Submarine - First Man Into Space 6. John Cassavetes - Five Films - Criterion: - Shadows - Faces - A Woman under the Influence - The Killing of a Chinese Bookie - Opening Night - A Constant Forge (Docu) 7. The Burmese Harp Criterion 8. W.C Fields Comedy Collection 1: - The Bank [bleep] - My Little Chickadee - You Can't Cheat an Honest Man - It's a Gift - International House 9. The Ox Bow Incident 10. Double Indemnity 2-disc 11. The Man with the Golden Arm (50th Anniversary Edition) 12. La Tarantola dal ventre nero (Black Belly of the Tarantula) 13. Duel in the Sun And then there are two more titels, but I can't memorize them now. Everything changed all of a sudden at the end of the night and my mate needs to send me a copy of the order. :) And at work I bought Shaun of the Dead. :) The Astaire and Rogers collection is highly recomended. :P It's one of the best sets I've ever seen. 10 movies and one documentary (if I'm not mistaken)a lot of extras and there's the replica's of the theater programs. Very cool.
  21. Any list that places any Toy Story movie above Caligari, Duck Soup and The Gold Rush makes me cry.
