  1. It would be quite pathetic if Hayden Christensen's preformances didn't surpass the acting skills of a 10 year old. I don't see why everybody is so hard on Jake, give him a break, he hardly had any experience when doing Star Wars Episode I, you can't expect him to give a slamming preformance..
  2. Daniel, I don't think MPC is known with the Harcore you are listening, I think it's a misunderstanding. :)
  3. Social life isn't really a slump. Have had a, for my standards, rough time when we found out my mother has got breastcancer, but luckily she is cured now. And I'm having some hard time finding the right study for me; I tried 3, but I didn't like them, and it looks like I'm not liking my new one too much either...But not really depressed, everybody is healthy and friends are there when needed etc.
  4. Didn't he steal that piano riff? No, he used it. I already said that in another post, what exactly is the point in repeating yourself? I think I can guess what you are going to say next: Am I close? And then I ask you to explain, but then you can't and you just ignore it.
  5. I don't really consider Oprah to be the news. Sometimes I see it with one eye, but I really don't pay attention to it. :P
  6. To be honest, I didn't even know she was going with Tom Cruise untill you brought it up...And just to be clear, an all star cast doesn't have to be a good cast. [edit] I forgot to give Morgan Freeman credit for Batman Begins.
  7. I'm with you on that one, they are great lyrics. Funny thing is, he wrote that song when he was 22 or younger. :P
  8. Manderlay - The second part in the America trilogy of Danish director Lars von Trier. The first part of the trilogie was Dogville. Excellent movie, a little bit more complex than Dogville, emotionally and technically. Bryce Dallas Howard (L). She did an excellent job playing Grace, which is very respectable, since Kidman didn't leave her with an easy job. Also great supporting roles by Danny Glover, Isaach De BankolÃÆÃâÃâé, Willem Dafoe and others. If you've seen Dogville and liked it, go see it. It you've seen Dogville and didn't like it, go see it, it's an hour shorter. If you never heard of Dogville or Manderlay, go see Dogville and then see Manderlay. 8/10 SÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¥ som i himmelen (As it is in Heaven) - It was okay, not as good as I hoped and heard from my friend's mother. It's a bit "been there, done that" story wise, but it's done pretty nice. It's good to see the dramatic side of the movie is a bit absent most of the time. Great acting by Michael Nyqvist and Ingela Olsson. 7/10
  9. haha, that quote was really good! :D
  10. Yay, just phoned a mate, going for a Scandinavian marrathon tonight at the "arthouse". We'll start with Manderlay - The second part in the America trilogy of Danish director Lars von Trier. The first part of the trilogie was Dogville and I absolutely loved that one. :) The last part of the trilogy, Washington will probably be released in 2007. The second movie will be SÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¥ som i himmelen (As it is in Heaven) - A Swedish drama about a conductor. Haven't read much about the story itself, but I heard it was a very powerful movie, so I'm very curious. :)
  11. *puts on 'all the things she said' on* meh i wish i had a new ipod video then i could watch the video of this song lol Remember you're at work, Matt.
  12. Hm, fav. lyricist (that's a word?) is Bob Dylan, so I'll just post up two song lyrics.
  13. Katie Holmes was mad no name until she started going out with Tom Cruise...Not to mention she was absolutely horrible in that movie...She is a horrible actress. She was horrible in Batman Begins? I thought she was doing pretty good. And what does her fame have to do with it? She did a pretty good preformance in "go". And have you heard from her other movies, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Gift, and Wonder Boys? All pretty decent movies. And all those movies, INCLUDING Batman Begins are made before she went with Tom Cruise. So don't give me crap. She's not a horrible actress, she's a pretty decent actress.
  14. Hmm, I might ask my brother to fish some lobbies so I can buy one of you. ^.^
  15. It's very good for a "kid's movie", and of course we can trust Spielberg with adding some double message that keeps it fun for all ages. I think one of my fav. scenes is where they have the food fight. :D Just saw the first 2 hours of Batman Begins. I thought it was really great. They took enough time to develop and introduce the young Bruce, who is greatly done by Bale, and then the action comes. It's nice to see how all great action movies are structurally based on one; Seven Samurai. The director, Nolan, which we already know from Memento and the excellent remake of the Norwegian thriller Insomnia, managed to capture a great dark atmosphere, which not only adds a lot to the city and atmosphere of the film, but also perfectly matches Wayne̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s youth. Also big props to the rest of the all star cast; Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Cillian Murphey, Tom Wilkinson and Rutger Hauer. Last 15 minutes will be done after dinner. :)
  16. aiylakli is Quer Skull, I take it? :P I think they are really great. A fresh wind trough the media forum. Good job. :) I like the Nightmare Before Christmas one and the one you (DH) are using best. :) [edit]Now I see the name in the sig Quer is using. :P
  17. /me cries... Don't tease me!
  18. Looks great, I really love the backgrouend, and the mummy looks good too. The ray of light that come out of the staff looks really good. I do think the character is a bit too bright for my liking though, it looks like she isn't effected by the lighting at all, she is still very well designed though. But if that's the way the customer wanted, that's the way they'll get it of course.
  19. Yea, according to the website of Metropolis the premiere was at the 26th of October. But our Cinema is late a lot. But sometimes they're the first with certain movies as well. It's really weird. It's playing in the Patḫ̩̉̉ cinemas as well. :? But those are so far away. Maybe I can talk my parents into going to Antwerp this weekend. ^.^
  20. lol i thought it was out this week? Nup, it doesn't even mention in it the "comming soon" section. http://www.cinecity.nl/2cinefilm/index.html Binnekort means comming soon.
  21. The Manson family was actually convicted for the murders of 35 people. I know they murdered more people, but I think Tate is the only person whom I know from the murders.
  22. I want to see Corpse Bride!!! But it isn't out heere, yet. You're making me jelous, Matt.
  23. The Manson's. :? They murdered Polanski's wife.
  24. Yea, I found it a bit weird too, mostly there are updates on IMDB for pre-productions. And if it would starr Hillary Duff it wouldn't be too small to look over it either.
  25. You lewd, crude, rude, bag of pre-chewed food, Dude! :D Ru-fi-O, Ru-fi-O! (I know Peter said the first line):D Just seen I Kina Spiser de Hunde. I thought it was pretty good. A Danish violant comedy in the style of Lock Stock and Snatch. A little bit less funny, but a bit more violant. Still really made me laugh out loud a lot though. A must see for everybody who loved Lock Stock and Snatch. Up next after coffee break: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
