Oscar Season
I heart Crash was absolute cack, they really try to stuff a message down your throat and so, I haven't seen it so I wont judge it.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Duck Soup - What a pleasure to rewatch this movie, great comedy. It has got the insults, the physical homor, language/speaking jokes, of course somel the jokes are too obvious and most are forced, but that just adds to the nostalgia. The movie doesn't make you roll over the floor laughing your rear end off, but when you're open for it it does make you laugh and gives you that great smile on your face and for 65 minutes you find yourself in a different world, pure magic. 8.5/10

:: The Ultimate Music Type ::
Indie isn't really a genre, it's can be any genres but then it's independent instead of connected to something commercial. Atleast, that's what I always though.

It was promotion material, they didn't sell it in stores I believe. I got it from the aftermarket.

Oscar Season
Sin City, Batman Begins, Star Wars EpisodeIII: Revenge of the Sith, Walk the Line, Munich, A History of Violance, Jarhead, Weatherman, Lord of War etc. etc. will probably get a nomination somewhere. I think they'll skip Last Days. L'Enfant will probably up there among some others for best foreign film since it won the golden palm on the cannes film festival. I'll probably listen to the radio with my mate till '6 in the morning with our prediction list. Oh, I didn't really like most of last years winners. I didn't like Million Dollar Baby, The Aviator wasn't that great either, Ray wasn't too bad.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
Yea, great joke, I am realling rolling on the floor here. Did it ever occur to you that there might be people who haven't read the last book? Did it? Anyway, I am looking forward to the movie, since this was by far my fav. book. There is a rising line in the movies, from first to last (the third movie) so I'm having good hope. Still need to get tickets for the premiere to sit between the witches and wizards, but I don't think I can get 'em; I'm a bit too late, I think.

Star Trek vs Starwars?
I never watched Star Trek.

Strangest Film
Heh, yea I wanted to nominate that one, but I forgot. Was thinking in bed last night what I could nominate, lol. >.< Less strange, but still far from normal: Adaptation. :P

Go to your profiler page and set it on public, now we can't seee it. :)

Strangest Film
I'd rather nominate "Pi" than Requiem for a Dream for strangest movie, it's still a very high quality movie though. I'm so jeleous btw, I want your "Pi" DVD cover, it looks so much better! :(

Strangest Film
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Brazil, 12 Monkeys...And then you could go on and name all kind of obscure B-movies, but I don't think some of them are allowed here...>.

So whos still around?
Heh, I remember you, I bought a sig of you like two years ago or something. :P I believe that's the sig you made me. :P

The Funniest Person Ever
I don't know a lot about comedians and stuff, since it doesn't really interest me. But I Ali G always makes me laugh. :)

Jarhead
I haven't really looked into it, I guess I'll see it when and if it comes out here in Holland. :) I don't think it will come to our cinema, we don't have Saw II or Corpse Bride either. :|

Director topics.
Yea, I stole the idea from another forum, not a special movie forum though, just a subforum like here. 8) But they are pretty snobbish orientated, the director topics I mean. They are titled the forgotten grandmasters of cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky Federico Fellini Ingmar Bergman Jean-Luc Godard Carl Theodor Dreyer Fran̮̤̉̉ois Truffaut Luis Bủ̮̱̉uel I'd like to cover the hollywood side aswell.

I can't do my total cost, that's really weird, I just get all 0. Also the genre calculator is pretty weird. Sixteen horror? I though I had much less, and five foreign? I've got more than five foreign, lol. And Criterion might be a bit more expensive, but they've got highest quality releases. :) Found out how to see your total worth,. It's pretty weird, it has got a lot of titles that say "0" when I look at their price, so I don't really know what happens to them. Still this is more than what I paid for it.

Strangest Film
Yea, and of course the early Bunuel movies, Un Chien andalou, and a newer Bunuel: Charme discret de la bourgeoisie, and probably the Andy Warhall movies, but I haven't seen those. I think we can nominate most of Fellini's work after La Dolce Vita aswell. Maybe NÃÆÃâÃâóz w wodzie, pretty abstract early polanski. And of course almost every single Von Trier movie, complete own style, kind of strange, but very fresh...Gus van Sant's minimalistic trilogy is pretty different aswell...Festen, the first Dogme '95 movie..
-
Strangest Film
I think I can nominate Roman Polanski'sWhat? for that...Together with 8̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâý. Oh, Gouttes d'eau sur pierres brÃÆÃâÃâûlantes is pretty weird as well.

Director topics.
Meh, poor translation. What I mean is that we will do various directors on the topic. Not only unknown directors from Russia or Italy, or Spain or w/e.

Video of a SUV driver being hit with a taser gun
That was a pretty horrible experience to hear. The use of the taser is a bit harsh if you ask me.

Alright, that's 4 who vote for it, and one against it. I think I can do one or two by myself to give a kick-off. I could do Luchino Visconti and Stanley Kubrick by myself, since I own most of their movies. :)
