  1. Even if it is possible, what exactly is the use of paying for a 'system' that you can't even fully 'enjoy'?
  2. I think that he has proven against Chelsea that he can score against English clubs.
  3. If they write lyrics like this: Old lands and red dragons filled his open eyes Kings, queens and proud warriros in his magic dreams Mystical energies led him straight there To the lonely holy wild path I'm not surprised they walk around in tights with plastic shields and swords. The lyrics are just as ridiculous as their videoclip. Led Zeppelin has done a simmilar thing though, you can see it on the DVD "The Song Remains the Same".
  4. This scene is very, very extensively. It takes ten minutes, the camera doesn't move, it is on the floor and constantly aimed on the r@pist and his victim. After the r@pe the woman is beat up, which is also brought in detail. It's a rough and unpleasent scene. Joyeux NoÃÆÃâÃâël - Saw this yesterday at the Film By the Sea troughout the year thing. It was pretty good. It's about 24th of december 1914. The night in WWI where the Germans, French and Scottish soldiers celebrate christmas together etc. It had a lot of humor in it as well, which was a good thing. Sometimes things did got a bit too sentimental. All in all it was pretty good. I'll go with IMDB today; 7.5/10. Just read the French want to send in this movie for best foreign movie at the oscars. Might want to add that this would be a nice film to check out if you want to start with foreign films. :)
  5. Heh, he's such a great player. He deserved to win the competition. Too bad there isn't a Dutchy in there. :( That goal of Ronaldinho in the Barcalona vs. Chelsea match in the Championsleage was amazing!
  6. Irr̮̩̉̉versible - Saw this one yesterday night. Famous for it's two controversial scenes; the 10 minute long, very detailed and realistic r@pe scene. Which goes down as one of the most brute r@pe scenes in cinematic history. And the scene with the fire-stop thing. It's a vengeance movie, but thanks to it's exccesive violance that does serve a purpose, its interesting camerawork, use of colors and musical guidence it pulls things to another level. Not a fun movie, but a must see. 8.5/10 Why the hell is the word R@pe censored? :?
  7. Y tu mama tambien as one of the worst movies ever?
  8. That's the one I got today. . For only 10 euro. 8) Oh man, just saw a part of the first disc. This DVD is absolutely amazing. You can listen and see the videos. AND you can choose different angles and cameramethods per song, and then choose the original song, and different versions, remixes, a capella (sp?) versions etc. etc. But you can also do normal version video with alternate music, and normal music with alternate angle video. Absolutely amazing. Also there is director and band commentary per clip. What an amazing release.
  9. Oooh, Tjerry, you bought the motorcycle diaries? Tell me how you like it after you've seen it! I loved it. Anyway, what I bought friday: Futurama season 4 (Finally got all 4 seasons) The Untouchables 'collectors' edition I saw they had the Beasty Boys Video Anthology on Criterion at work, so I think I'll pick that one up today. :)

    Arthouse.

Since some users on this forum are having troubles with my grammar, I used wikipedia for artfilm, so everybody knows what we are on about. Is this better for you, Atticux?
  11. I'd go for New York, it's closest to a normal pizza.
  12. Ouch. Sorry to hear things are going so bad for you in real life. I hope the tables turn soon and things will go better! Good luck in real life man!

    Arthouse.

Of course you've got that in Sweden. One of the main styles halfway the 90's for European and foreign movies are done by the rules set by Scandinavians. :) Will explain later, going to my grandma now.
  14. Yea, of course. You don't have that in America/England/w/e you live? :o

    Arthouse.

I regularly vissit the 'arthouse' theater, and I never really see much people posting about this type of movies. I was wondering, don't you ever see these movies? You're not interested in them (if so why?)? You don't know the titles? What is it that so less people on these forum see them> Discuss, ask and w/e here in this topic.
  16. Well, my advice might not be too good. After high school I've tried four different studies, and now I'm entering an open university. But my advice is: If you don't know what to do yet, take some to discover what you really want instead of wasting a lot of time and money on things you don't want. But that's me of course.
  17. It's just how you see it. I mean, seeing life as suffering is a bit pessimistic I think. You can make from it whatever you want, you can even take it. It's sounds like we need to convince you why you should live, that's a bit weird, I think.
  18. Evil things can be done with a good intention.
  19. Is there good? It's all about based on opinions, I think.
  20. Ooh, I guess it's positive then. :P
  21. Well, there's something to say about that. I'd say it's more if you are a big fan of great stop-motion and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I think Tim Burton didn't have much to do with the nightmare before christmas other than the visualisation and story (the idea), correct me if I am wrong. Visually these two movies don't define his style. Oh, and Tarantino was only a guest director for Sin City; he did one scene. Robert Rodriguez was the main director. :) (oops I just saw Indy already pointed that (^^) out. Sorry.
  22. I never really go to see gigs. I would love to see Robbie Williams live sometime, since I love his really catchy-pop music and his live preformances are great (I missed the ticket sales last week). I could've got tickets for the Eagles today, but they're a bit too expensive; a normal stand-in-crown ticket was ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì89 (over $100,--), I don't think it's worth that to see a bunch of granpaps that are over their top preform old footage (all respect to the Eagles of course, since I love their music).
  23. I think it took me about 20 minutes (I'm not English so it took me a little bit longer). At our cinema we've got an entrance where you buy your tickets, then you go in trough the gates; they check your tickets. Then you've got a bar where you can buy popcorn, coke 7-up etc. beer, ice-cream nuts etc. and then you go in. :) It's a bit of the same set-up as 'metrpolis' in antwerp but less check-ups before you go in the hall. BTW, Smithie, Cliff's notes, that's a positive thing, or negative? :P I never heard from it.
  24. Guerneseyhttp:// - Pretty good Dutch drama, not really powerfull at first sight, but when you're open for it and think about it a little after the movie it's power really strikes. Little diaglogue, no music in the movie. I thought it was pretty good. 7.5/10 Birth - This was after Guernesy. I had a little bit of a 'meh' feeling after this movie. At first sight it sounds pretty interesting, but the movie is a bit too slow and irrelevent in a negative way. I believe it had some controversy at the bath scene, but that's more in America I think. It had a pretty decent cinematography, but all in all it wasn't anywhere near good. 5.5/10.
