  1. ugh, so you don't have a life when somebody disgust you over the internet? What about the 8 hours of work I just did, the dinner I'm having with a group of friends in 15 minutes and the birthday party of a girlfriend I'm going to after dinner. Not to mention I was writing that post just before I went to the cinema with a friend. And so far the only one that has been talking out of his 'wagon' in this post is you.
  2. Yea, I thought so. Good see on Matchbox 20. :o
  3. Ok try to search it and find the same spoiler as I posted if you can't find it don't accuse thanks? http://themoviespoiler.com/Spoilers/saw2.html What do you take us for? A bunch of idiots? Please, quit acting so lame. And instead of saying that it's your spoiler you'd rather link us to the place you ripped it from. Bah, you disgust me.
  4. FOr some reason I can't edit my post but: The open bag with colorfull candy would be eminem? And the birds on the streetname sign the counting crows? And those four different color thingies in the background: The Doors?
  5. ALice in Chains, The Gorrilaz, looking for more now. The fish is the bowl, would that be reel big fish, or real big fish, what is the band called? Also T-Spoon. The nails would be nine inch nails? Those boxes witht he sakcs in it are the granberries I think. The open bag of candy, would that be Eminem?
  6. WTH, he's dead? :? Darn, that's bad stuff. R.I.P.
  7. I used to work at the deli of one of the biggest supermarkets in Holland. It was a great job, I learned a lot, had great collegues, I was good at my job and I got a pretty decent payment. When I got 19 I was fired because I was too expensive. >.> Yesterday I had my first working day at the Free Record Shop (A music/dvd store), I don't really like the work, but I need to earn cash of course.
  8. [snobmodus]Well of course, you have to be talentless to become a pop-idol[/snobmodus]
  9. You mean the Stephan King version of the Shining, I hope. I thought both (Rose Red and Stephan King's the Shining) movies were pretty watchable.
  10. Best one I've seen was at the Film by the Sea festival last september. Shooting Dogs. The arthouse version of Hotel Rwanda. So amazingly powerful, unfortunuatly not very well known (yet). Broken Flowers was a great one aswell. Gus van Sant's Last Days was after giving it some thought amazingly good as well. Manderlay was very good aswell. Of course Sin City was top-notch aswell. And there's tons more which I am not going to mention.
  11. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Now I remember why I hate going to the normal cinema for Hollywood productions. We left at 18:30, we arrived at 18:45. We picked up the tickets that afternoon, so we didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have to wait and could get great seats right away. We went in and the hall was half full, and the places I aimed for (my fav. ones) were still unoccupied. The nasty part was that we had to wait for another 45 minutes for the movie to begin, while we were in a hall with screaming kids, pop-corn throwing (not at certain people or something) teenagers. This was all guided with the wonderful music of Sisqo (Where the HELL did they dig this guy up??) and a few dance tunes from the 80̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s. Anyway, after 45 minutes of pop-corn eating my bucket of pop-corn was half empty and finally the movie started. The movie really starts with a thrill; they slightly adjusted the music for the intro, made it sound a bit darker, a little bit more mature and spooky. We̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in Harry̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s dream and we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re experiencing the nightmare he is having, we see it all happening, and when the famous spell Avada Kedavra is casted we see him wake-up, soaking in sweat. Hermione comes rushing in, telling them (Ron and Harry) to hurry up because they have to leave, they don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know where. Five minutes later we discover that they (the Weasley family) meet up with Cedric and his father; they are going to the Quidditch world cup. When we arrive we can see all the supporting wizards and witches partying on one big campsite, this was a really nice scene, all that joy people flying on the brooms almost hitting other people, and then we arrive at the tent Harry and the Weasley̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s sleep in. We see a small tent, and they all hop in, Harry looks surprised and enters the tent as well to discover there is this huge house inside the tent. I really liked how they done this since this was how I imagined it when I was reading the book. After that we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re at the stadium where the Quidditch final is played between Ireland and Bulgaria (It was Bulgaria, right?:P), before everyone is at their seats we see a small confrontation between the Malfoy family (Draco and Lucius) and the Weasley family and Harry, which is very nice as well; you could really feel the hatred and disgust from both sides. When everybody is at their seats we get introduced to both teams and we can see everybody cheering. I really enjoyed this small part of it because it really portrayed the atmosphere at such a big match; we muggles have that as well with world cup football matches. I was getting really into it, getting the right atmosphere, almost cheering in the cinema for the Irishmen, and then the game started. Not. They start the game and suddenly we are at the end of the match, partying in the tent. What a big disappointment. We̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in the tent, and suddenly there is panic, Arthur runs outside to see what̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s happening and comes back in panic saying they should all leave right away; the death eaters arrived. In all chaos Harry loses his friends and gets knocked out accidentally by the crowd that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s running around in panic because the death eaters are attacking their tents and killing them. When we see Harry wake up again every single tent in the entire area is burned down to the ground and we can see a dark wizard approaching, yelling for Harry, but he never reaches him because the people from the ministry of magic are earlier. If you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mind I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll skip the train part, since I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t think it was that interesting to share. We arrive at Hogwarts, but Harry and his friends aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the only ones arriving to Hogwarts; there is a large ride powered by hippogriffs (I think they were hippogriffs), and a big boat-submarine combination getting out of the water. Then we ware at the dinner table, everything is settled and sorted and Dumbledore starts introducing everybody to the Tri-Wizard-Tournament. We̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re introduced first with the team of the beautiful Beauxbattons (beautiful wands), we can see them coming in their beautiful blue suits and when they do their moves with the flowers coming up you can almost smell their perfume, wonderfully done. Then we get introduced to the men from Durmstrang, we see them enter with an almost scary precision and tight moves, you can see they are more the physical types (just as Hermione later describes Krum in the movie), and they are really serious, again, a very well done introduction of a new school. I liked how the scenes for this weren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t too long, since it can get a bit boring then, but the really captured them briefly but managed to get their basic emotions over to the audience. Dumbledore starts talking about the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâGoblet of Fire̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the goblet where you need to put your name in when you want to compete with the tournament, but you can only put your name in when you are over the age of 17. During dinner you can start with putting your names in. After dinner we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re going back to the normal school life, although we don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really get a proper insight of their classes and teachers. We get to see one class, and that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the class of defence against the dark arts, with, yet again, a brand new teacher; Mad Eye Moody, who is more than greatly played by Brendan Gleeson (who was a teacher before he started his acting career!). I really like how they chose to do his make-up. I also really liked the character of Mad Eye Moody; he was funny, honest, smart and helpful. Then we go to the selection of the students who are going to attend the Tri-Wizard Tournament. The cup spits out a few names (Spoiler of the names that are spit out Krum, Fleur and Cedric) and when we think we are all done the cup suddenly spits out another name, I think we can all guess who̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s name that is. Then there is some panic, Dumbledore loses his temper, which I think is quite good, so we can see he̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not a synonym of the word calm, and adds some emotion to the scene. Harry attending the tournament creates some frustration and anger with Ron. I think their arguing, especially Ron̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s behaviour, is a bit weird and overdone, I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really liked how they worked out that part. After that what we get to see the three assignments they have to do and the ball-scene. I won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t go on about how they worked out the assignments in dept, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll just say they were very good, the dragon-chase with the first assignment was just breathtaking, and the underwater scene was amazingly real and exciting, very, very well done. The last assignment in the maze was amazingly done as well; you could really feel the claustrophobia and the tension of the people entering the maze, again very, very well done. I thought the ball-scene was really good as well. When everybody was entering the ball-room it was exactly how I imagined it to be, it had so much atmosphere and the dance scenes captured so much humour, and the big rock n̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ roll part was really good, I really liked it! Overall, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d say it was a really good movie. Visually it was really brilliant, such great camerawork and of course stunning special effects. And where the first two movies weren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really scary or something, the third one had some pretty good moments that definitely weren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t for children, and this movie goes a little bit further in that. Also Harry and his friends really lose their innocence; they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re making sometimes pervert jokes, they are a bit more aggressive and the humour sometimes is a bit darker. The only thing I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really like was how they had done the inevitable duel-scene, it seemed to be floating around in nowhere, it had no real connection to the story and just seemed like it was placed there in the end just because every Harry Potter movie has to end with a duel scene, that was where the adaptation lacked a bit. The movie was strongly focused on the tournament and therefore kind of lost the sub-plots of the books and some characters. All in all this was by far the best Harry Potter movie, and thanks to it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s humour, thrilling moments, sometimes touching scenes, great camerawork, special effects and overall pretty good acting, I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really mind the parts that got lost in the adaptation, though it would be better if they paid more attention to that. I had a great night and was entertained from the first to the last second of the movie. Be sure to see this in cinema. 8/10

  13. Nah, the Lord of the Rings budget was almost 50 million dollars less per movie. Also the main audience of Harry Potter is different to the audience of the Lord of the Rings movies, Harry Potter is more aimed at young children, of course it is for all ages and by no means childish, but it is aimed at a younger audience. It's a risk to make a 3-4 hour movie for an audience like that. I'm going to see it now btw. Bye!! :)
  14. how about: "you must kill all non-believers" ? don't say it isn't in the quran, because it is there. "En strijdt voor de zaak van Allah tegen degenen, die tegen u strijden, maar overschrijdt de grens niet. Voorzeker, Allah heeft de overtreders niet lief. En doodt hen, waar gij hen ook ontmoet en drijft hen uit, vanwaar zij u hebben uitgedreven ; want vervolging is erger dan doden. En bevecht hen niet nabij de heilige moskee, voordat zij u daarin bevechten. Maar indien zij u bevechten, bevecht hen dan, zo is de vergelding voor de ongelovigen" Koran 2-191-192 i know it's not in english, but i'm not able to translate it. i did translate the bold parts: 1st, "en doodt hen" -> "and kills them" It says fight for the cause of Allah against those who fight against you, but do not cross the line, Allah does not like violators and kills them. Now that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a poor translation but it does point out that this does not support terrorists but it actually says that you shouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t cross the line with fighting for your religion. I don't think translating quotes wrongley to strengthen your post is very good Bas. Also, those words are very old. I want to bet cutting off a thief's arm wasn't that absurd at that time. I don't think they are taken literally that much anymore, not by most muslims, I think they are more guidelines than actual rules. I could be totally wrong of course, I'm sure TS knows more about it than I do.
  15. I don't really know much "less well known" bands. Most people don't really know Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós, I think. So I'll recommend them since they make very good music. And of course their lead singer is homosexual and blind with one eye, that makes them extra cool.
  16. I'm not really jelous..I think there are two people who I sometimes am jelous at. My two best (yea that sounds weird, two best) friends, it always seems they never have any problems, good jobs, doing great at school, and they are goin together. Not that I am jelous at my male friend for going with her or something, I don't care about that since I don't/never fancy/fancied (sp?) her. But sometimes I'd like to have a relationship you know, at the times when they are doing all that great stuff together and they talk about it, it feels like things in my own life are missing. So I'm only jelous for short periods of time. :)
  17. I just picked up my tickets for tonight. :) We're always late in Holland. :(

    Xmas Songs!

Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas is you.
  19. 8/10. I really like Paw Claw's signature, it might be a bit bussy, but I like how it display the two different cultures involving runescape. Also I like the 2 dimensional style.
  20. He has made more movies last year than he makes average a year if you look at his career. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Lemony Snicket's were both big movies. He never really stars more than two movies a year, with exception '83 where he had done three, but he only just started then and '94 where he has done three big movies; The Mask, Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber. And indeed, he's a class actor, I don't always like him though. Ika resuraa (The Calamari Wrestler) - I'd like to add this one, what cack. But sometimes it became so lame it was funny, so not really worst thing ever made, but deff. very, very bad.
  21. 1. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s bad that she judges your political view on a paper like that. Maybe you didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t work it out correctly? 2. was just an action your average know-it-all would do, so don't talk yourself out of this: you knew what you had to do but you didn't do it. 3. There is nothing wrong with nit-picky teachers, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d rather have an 8/10 at a nit-picky teacher than a 10/10 at a teacher that only looks at it half as good, what do you learn from that? About the second part of this thing, I should take it to the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâboss̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ of my grade department (like the boss of al 5th graders or w/e, don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know what grade you are in). 4. You didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t study properly for your test and you answered 5 true or false questions wrong, or? I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really get it, what are you trying to say? She changed your answers or? Too me it seems a bit farfetched and to me it seems like you put it here like there is only one truth, so I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m wondering what the complete story is. But since it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s highly unlikely that your teacher browses these forums I will probably never know that. Instead of questioning your teacher when you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t get straight A̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s, start questioning yourself, in the end you are the one who must do it. [edit]Some teachers are extra hard on their students because they are in love with them, did you ever consider this? :P
  22. Its 3D, and you can sit around it in a circular type of a pattern, seats are high up and it also has much better sound then a theatre. It also owns  I've seen "Hunny I shrunk the audience" like 5 or 6 years ago in Disneyland Paris, that was 3-d...And that was really cool, from what I recall. :)
  23. I stopped watching Pitch Black after like what? 40 minutes? I really couldn't be bothered watching it. Maybe I should give it another chance and see Chronicles of Rid[bleep] afterwards.
  24. I have yet to see something on IMAX. But what does IMAX really, is it 3-d vieuwing, or just better quality sound and screen?
