ha, finally some recognition for slayer. personally i max combat first then slayer then all the other skills. if i went for lets say 80 mining, i would be bored as hell i guess

yea i had some pic somewhere were I examined various states of the mining obstacle in the abyss. something like this: "you start mining the rock" "you could mine this with a pickaxe" (mine obstacle full) "you could mine this with a pickaxe.... oh wait i just did" (mine obstacle half down) "... and manage to break through the rock" "pickaxe Power" (mine obstacle fully down)

slayer definetly, its the slowest skill in the game, farming is more boring to raise tho.

we always spec queen first with our dds then pull out keris, no spec in like 15-20 trips. apparently that doesnt work here

nope, i tried with dagger and my mate with veracs, we both have about the same stats and i was wearing a black mask, he still got the loot

yep sadly it happend right here in the netherlands. Someone was playing RS because his real life was [bleep]ed up and when he got hacked by his best friend IRL he got himself hanged :(.

i did some kq trips with my mate yesterday and discovered something stunning. the keris actually HITS THROUGH THE KQ MELEE PRAY. yes and the special works too, i hit a stunning blow of 72 against her second form (the one with melee pray). too bad i was too stunned to press the print screen button. personally i think this is a bug and will be fixed, but if its not its a great weapon to pwn the KQ with. altho full veracs is still better (my m8 was using it)

im praying for a kallie task right now :pray: jess, its frequenty is comparable with the enchanted bolts special

well its easier to hit more since they have more hp, but theres no additional bonus on higher ones

hey tug i fought with you together, anyway same conclusion as tugrul, its worthless against kallies. also tried the 85's edit: tip.it says i can hit 31 max with the 30 str bonus provided by the keris, my thoughts are that jagex forgot to add kalphites to the "special effect" list of the keris since some ppl report it does work on scarabs and locust riders EDIT: mod ash just posted on the forums that there was a bug with the keris against kalphites, my geuss was right then after all. gonna try again now. edit again: OWNED the keris seems to be as good as a whip normally, with these blows occuring like every 5 mins. doesnt seem to be as bad as i (and many) supposed

oh hey 0xpx0, i remember you, the first to get 99 farming right. i once sold you a magic seed lol. on topic: im 92 slayer myself, 99 slay for a goal (will take several months), slayer is in my opninion the most challenging skill ever to be released, since it yields the least xp an hour. furthermore, good way to max out cmb skills, good source of money, and fun to do, able to afk, the list could go on. like Axe said, slay on if you wish

i agree with satenza, i am 89 slayer myself and have never got a task over 199 creatures

OMG, the new black mask sure helps quote from forum: "Black masks gathered from the corpses of cave horrors give a couple of bonuses when worn. Firstly, they provide attack and defence bonuses similar to a Salve Amulet when fighting your Slayer assignment. Secondly, the masks contain a spell that can reduce your opponent's Defence by 3-10 levels, regardless of whether they are your Slayer assignment or another player." i hitted 35 on 102 str :shock: EDIT: hitting 31's unpotted is so cool :P (88 str) anyway, i read in kb that shilo will assign these new cave horrors so be prepared to add them into your guide

wow you sure got a good guide there, i even got it added under my bookmarks. anyway here are my improvements: abberant specters: specter means ghost and a ghost is undead, so why don't wear your salve ammy from the haunted mine quest (+15% att and str against undead). i can easily hit 33's even sometimes 34's on 88 str with super str pot. the best (and cheapest) way to get these guys is first bring black d hide body and top and about 16 food (lobster or higher). when ur out of lobsters switch to monk robes or initiate and begin using your prayer pots. I can do around 60 specters per trip and gain a lot of herbs. and finally there is the wild pie, lvl 85 to make and needs raw bear meat, raw rabbit meat and raw chompy meat. catch chompy south of castle-wars, catch rabbit on miscellania and catch bear in canifis at the food store (10 raw bear meat in stock). this pie increases your slayer lvl by +5 temporarily so you can slay abyssal demons (or other favoured slayer monsters) at an lower level. very useful if you want to take a break from slaying and make some cash.

yes, 59 rc means 2x cosmics, so that makes (made) 2x 250 = 500 per ess! nats and laws are only 300 per so this was a quicker way to gain money. Unfortunately cosmics have dropped to 150ea (see my last post)

the last tip suggests that cosmics are 225-250ea now. In reality too many ppl have been using this tip in the first few days + the fact that xp for enchanting was reduced by 25% (in the enchantment chamber), so prices of cosmics have dropped to 150-200ea. (watch the official forum and seek for cosmics, most ppl are selling them)
