  1. That's a good idea, but mining tends to get boring. However, for the insane skillers, then never selling ores is a VERY good point to add. The reason behind my superheating is because it's fast, cheap, and raises a few lvls at once. The mining lvls are much needed, along with the bonus magic lvls. Naturally, one could buy gold ore, smelt at port phasmas, and re-sell the bars. It works out to be the same price you'd spend on nature runes for superheat, and probably faster. This method is for those who just want fast smithing lvls, and couldn't be bothered doing the awful chore of mining. For me however, I try to stay away from the market, and do things on my own  But thanks for those points Oddfaerie, I'll be sure to do an update of my guide shortly :P (Btw I am planning to get 90 prayer just like you, by killing blue dragons )
  2. I think I said that :P I am also thinking the same thing, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I thought about just selling uncharged orbs for 40gp per :P It's good xp, which is what u want, unlike vials :P If I find out something new, I'll post it here for you.
  3. Yeah good point, it does help a lot. Not only for fast skill training, but for both f2p and p2p pking :) I'll start to do these little tweaks soon, thanks for your support and info everyone :)
  4. Will do, later
  5. Thanks everyone for your kind comments :) I'll add some more little techniques when my web browser decides to co-operate.
  6. Elucin8er's Breif Guide On Skilling Intro Not sure exactly how to level those stats effectively? Believe you're wasting time? Spending far too much cash on skills? Then this is the place for you. Here, I will discuss time management, give you some handy tips on skilling and show you some ultra fast ways to level several stats at once. I'm open for critisism, and looking for some additions to my methods, i.e. faster ways (looks at Volte). EnJoY! Time Management Now I know a lot of you log into Runescape, and are not quite sure what to do. So you sit in the bank for a bit, maybe get out your rubber chicken, waste some cash staking, etc. If you want to make some cash in this game, then that sort of behaviour is not a good start. What you need to do is, come onto RS with an idea of what you're going to do next. Naturally, you'll be in certain moods, so do the skill that's right for you. Eg - You don't feel like paying attention to the game, so in this case you're best to: Fish Afk Train (Bandits, axes Earth Warriors etc) Cut Trees Cook While doing these things, you may want to read a book, read the forums, play an instrument, or, watch some TV. Sometimes you'll be in the mood to get some things done, you need to take advantages of these moments, and get skilling :P So basically, don't bum around and waste time. This leads to boredom, and eventually you'll find yourself not having much fun anymore. Use your time effectively. Tips 1. The RS official forums are your friend, USE THEM. Post once, put your chat to "ON" and wait. I can't tell you how many times this has worked for me in the past. Occasionally, the forums will be of no use to you, so falador world 2 for buying/selling is a useful option. Always have your chat to hide for lag reduction and ease to see people trading with you. 2. Read forums while doing those boring stats, and you'll find they won't be so boring afterall. "OMG agility is SO boring." - This sort of talk doesn't exist for me now. I only do agility when someone is there occompaning me, or I'm doing some good reading on forums. 3. Don't look how far you have to go for a level. Wait it out, and don't expect anything. Then, the reward of leveling will come as a nice suprise. 4. Don't stop going after you level a skill. Keep it up, or you won't get anywhere. It's all to common to see people get a lvl, and then push it aside. You'll find it'll be a long time before that stat sees another level increase. 5. Don't be a solo man. Bring friends along to skill with you, the conversation and company makes things less boring and repetitive. 6. Once you start a skill, try to stick with it. Focus on a lvl, and go for it. 7. Invest in a wearable discontinued item, such as a party hat, mask, or santa hat. They are ever increasing in value, so it's like growing money in your bank. After buying the item, get back to skilling and money making, and completely forget you have the item. Skill Combinations This section will be rather large, as it's the main area of this post. Farming + Herblore Combo People who hate farming are usually lazy, or are going about it wrong. NO, you do not sit and watch your plants grow, that's just plan boring. What you need to do is: Get out an ectophial, and tele runes for camelot (you may want more places, up to you). You bring the seeds you wish to plant, which will ALWAYS be at least 2 herb seeds, possibly 2 limp seeds, and possibly some vegetable seeds. ALWAYS use supercompost. whether it be a mixture of your harvested watermelons, or a collected bunch of pinapples from brimhaven. After planting in at least 2 locations, you LEAVE. That's right, you go off and do something else, and come back around 1.5 hours later. Upon returning, I've noticed a 90% chance your crops will survive when using supercompost. Keep your harvests, as they'll most likely be useful later. After doing around 10 or so rounds, you'll notice a large number of herbs in your bank. I found the best thing to do is to continue stocking up on these herbs, and when you feel like doing some herblore, you'll have at least a level banked. (For the large farming lvls, the only real thing to do is plant tree and fruit tree seeds. Always get a farmer to look after them, and plant as many as you can). Crafting + Prayer + Combat That's right, killing dragons. You have several choices here, and I swap between each from time to time. 1. Taverly Dungeon Blue Dragons. MUST have 70 agility for pipe route. Walking around is much too time consuming. 2. All Famous Graveyard Green Dragons. Must have 84 magic for graveyard teleport, and a decent stock of glories for the return trip. A small amount of food is required, aswell as some prayer to avoid those pkers. 3. Canoe Dragons. This is for those of you preferring to range, or those who don't have 84 magic. 4. Ogre City Blue Dragons. For those without 70 agility, and have completed watchtower. Always keep bones and hides, as they come in very useful later. Not only are these 3 methods good for range/combat xp, but you can gain quite a nice amount of prayer lvls and cash. I always reccommend crafting the hides, and it's your choice to ecto the bones, or sell them (for those stakers and pkers). You'll find the money gained is quite nice, I believe this will be a favourite for most. Mining + Smithing + Magic (Thanks to Rens for this great idea, all credit to her). If you have completed "Between a Rock" you have acess to a large, private gold mining area. Here, you should bring a pickaxe, a staff of fire, gold smithing gauntlets and lots of nature runes. You simply mine the gold, and superheat it. This is possibly the best xp for smithing, and it also helps out your mining + magic. Currently, if I mine 20k gold ore and superheat it, I will gain: 75 - 81 Mining 72 - 80 Smithing 92 - 94 Magic. This kind of leveling method is an example of skill combinations at it's best. Normally, people would powermine iron, buy and smith steel bars, and stun to get their levels. This combo of skills does all in one fall swoop, and costs minimal cash compared to other techniques (or none at all if you choose to runecraft your own nature runes). Crafting + Runecrafting (All credit to Primadog for this idea. I tweaked it a touch). This method is best done when you are interested in crafting law runes. If you're not in the mood or don't require them, then don't do this technique until you are. Basically, you just need to head out as if you're crafting law runes through the abbys. You make the runes as normal, the amount doesn't make a difference, you'll still end up with many free inventory spots, which is all you need. After you've crafted the laws, head outside to the 8, that's right, 8 seaweed respawns. Gather as many as you like, and return to edgeville as normal. This will obviously take a little longer than teleporting from the alter, but at the end of the day you'll discover you have a hell lot of seaweed. When you team this up with the buckets of sand (84) you recieve each day from the quest reward of _________ you'll be getting a lot of crafting xp that you could not normally obtain so effortlessly. And naturally, if you sell the orbs you'll gain a nice little bit of unexpected cash. Breif Skill Leveling Theiving Stalls - Warrior Women - Guards - Knights of Ardguone. After getting up to knights of ardguone, theive a invent of cakes from the cake stall. Then, attack a knight, and lure him into a small room. When in the room, close the door, and work on getting him to stop attacking you. This can be done by running or climbing up a ladder/stairs. Now you have a full invent of food, and a knight with nowhere to go. Fishing 2 Words, fly fishing. Get lots of feathers, and camp at shilo village for a few days. Cooking them also ensures some reasonable xp. Cooking Buy raw, and sell back cooked. Sure, you'll lose some cash, but this stops after you get to lvl 94. At this level, you will never burn a shark with those cooking gauntlets. Plus, you'll lose no money trading cooked for raw. Runecrafting For fast levels, use fast free laws on world 66. Works a charm, but tends to be a bit repetetive and boring :P ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe the rest of the skills are pretty straightforward. If you want me to add anthing, just say so and I'll be happy to. Open for critisism and spelling corrections. Looking for advice and more skill combos. :P
  7. Managed to gain 3 amounts of tickets (5), (9) and (10) before they halved the xp amounts. I was getting 5.5k cash a trip, and 888 prayer xp (approx). I had my hour of fun, and I dont think I'll be going back there now since it hardly seems worth it. Naturally if it gets a bit harder and funner I'll head over :P
  8. And how often do you solo at mage bank sucessfully
  9. yup and the guy has no pic and no pic no proof april fools was two days ago please stop making threads that are opposite of what jagex says ty Your posts are really beginning to annoy me  Anyway, this looks like an interesting matter, however, there's a big chance the mod is incorrect, as they have been many times in the past. Our own players have tested many theories and come up with the best solution, and I'm sticking by that
  10. Looks like I'm off to do the newly released Quest :D
  11. this is coming from the guy who attacked me at lava ran up the ladder closed the gate ran and logged  the reason im not for them isnt because i think theyre bad ideas, they just wont happen, jagex loves them, its like complaining about 10 second logging, they help the game economy with how insanely powerful melee is now you CAN solo with melee, and if you take bones to peaches with ya you can just outlast a team in pirates if you want your idea really wouldnt help soloing, with all the new expensive items wed get the same situation we have today by now anyway, someone posted a similar topic like this on di :( I guess it's best for us to sit back and wait to see what Jagex does for us.
  12. Seems pretty average so far. However I'm sure when the updates come around they'll be far more enjoyable :D
  13. That's not really my concern here ... I'm actually glad to hear people are still getting some reasonable kills out there  My main concern is a dead risky SOLO pking environment. Hopefully the removal of the mage bank lever and an expansion to the area will lighten it up a bit.
  14. I think I might make a guide on this soon, for all the p2p "need to knows." Things such as: Important Quests Skills THE locations to be What's what and how to get it. ------- May be some time, as I'm pretty busy lately :(
  15. Read my other post, I think it's more rc'er friendly.
  16. I'm not asking you to post. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all :P ^ I like very much :)
  17. Oh my  Your skill total owns for your level. If you can get 1700 total before 90 combat you deserve some sort of recognition
  18. Nice idea man, but when confronting Jagex with something like this it's always best to give a small outline and let them handle the rest. For instance, we could say: " An organised mini game where members of each side battle it out until there is only 1 man standing. Person limit is 50 each side. " Then we could set rules such as "no prayer, multi zone on/off, weapons/armor on/off. Sort of like an advanced dueling region. Actually, more simply! - "A new dueling arena designed for more than 1v1! " A "stake" could also be made. Ooooh I'm liking this idea :P It's a cross between castle wars/fight pits and dueling. Staking/taking teams/last man standing. I'd love for this to happen
  19. That is a good point, but the current pking now is clans vs soloers. The solo'ers aren't getting as much kills as they used to. With your reference to "pop up and then go down" this is much like edgeville pking, except escape is far easier. At the ladder you can ONLY run. At edgeville, you can teleport instantly :( Perhaps if Jagex were to expand the area so that the fights would leave the first room, and be brought to outside areas, making openents have to run a fair distance to escape. I just personally have found that if a person is teleblocked they immediently try to escape. This occurance is destroying solo pking :(
  20. Yea, pking has gone downhill. But they aren't trying to make it better, for pkers at least. They are making it better for the sissies that go into the wild, die, and then cry about the wild being too dangerous. And on rsc, you can teleport any time during the fight, though you can't eat. You should edit your thread, because it sounds kind of stupid you showing yourself being a RSC product, yet you have your facts mixed up  . Maybe you just worded it wrong? The reason it didn't seem like anyone teleported was this: -Pures didn't teleport because if you got magic it got several uneeded combat levels. So no pures, other than mages, teleported. -Even impures didn't teleport very often because they used to pk in high level areas only, when you can't teleport anyways. You didn't see impures pking in low level wild. The main reason so many people teleport now is because Jagex made it so you can have melee, range, and mage and stay the same combat level, where on RSC you can only have melee and range. Thanks, fair enough. I am mainly aiming this at the mage bank, and skipped over a lot of the low wild level details.
  21. I didn't ask to be flamed. And I am the one in the clan killing people, not the one being killed. Do not flame me when you know nothing. No. Whips will never be used. I use the right armor and weapons, but the only chance of killing some1 these days is to: 1. Destroy them with a clan 2. Ko them before they can run/log/pray/tele. If you look back into the past of rsc, you'll find Jagex has systems that sucessfully stopped these kinds of actions, making pking a lot more active. 3. Finding an honourable player. So you would use teleblock at mage bank? Who would you find to kill? Endless clans? People that run/log/pray as soon as you cast that teleblock spell on them. Before you judge my ideas, I suggest you try out solo pking with teleblock  ---------------------- Well that was a rough start, hopefully we get some more positive posts soon.
  22. Quite simply, 1 idea, helped by a few thoughts in my previous thread, I propose to: DESTROY the mage bank lever AND DESTROY 1v1 protection prays while skulled. Why? Clans have ruined solo pking at the mage bank. Once you are teleblocked you have no intention of fighting, and try to run to safe locations. This whole system is getting messy and out of hand. Clans may not like this, but they should stick to multi zones where they belong :D IF the mage bank lever was removed, it would merely act as a deeper edgeville pking zone, WITHOUT the teleportation. The only way one can escape is to climb down the ladder (which I wish to be brought back). For those of you who remembered the days of classic and more importantly, the activeness of solo pking at mage bank when the ladder was in play, I'm sure you will agree. Teleblock can still exist for lower level pking, and for those wishing to kill poor Dragon slayers. I believe this improvement on my last idea assures the safety and continuation of other wilderness exercises (mainly abby rc'ing). The 2nd part to my idea (protection prays) is argueable, but I know it will fix the constant community flames we have, as well as make pking more dangerous. I belive these improvements will result in: 1. An active solo pking wilderness. 2. Higher chance of killing someone. 3. Greater dangers. 4. Higher use of Barrows armor in the wilderness. 5. Less community flaming/complaints ----------------- I'd like to thank everyone who made suggestions on my last post, you all helped me to form a better system. I am not taking the credit for my suggestions, I am merely writing and shaping your inputs to form a new and improved suggestion. ----------------- Now it's time to find the flaws of these ideas. Hopefully we can keep shaping every1's thoughts into 1 fair suggestion to fix the wilderness. Get posting 8)
  23. AGREED! Teleblock has destroyed solo pking at the back of the wilderness. You can get into a fight with one single person and then be totally wiped out by a clan as soon as you're teleblocked. Back when we had the ladder, clan trouble there was rare. People were able to freely solo just like we have now in edgeville, without the teleporting. Dude you've given me a wonderful idea! This will stop the teleporters AND bring back to life solo pking. -------------------- DESTROY the mage bank Lever! I'm getting to work on a post very shortly.
  24. Gratz to him. Watch Lilyuffie take the number 1 spot in the near future :P Also a side note - keep your eye on Minerman64. He has jumped 30 ranks in a few weeks and is going hard to 99 in everything. I think he'll come from behind and suprise a LOT of people :D
