  1. I think it's a good article because it's on a topic that's relevant to many players at the moment, and it presents a viewpoint (stick with people your level for maximum effectiveness) that I hadn't heard before. Having maxed melee, I almost always get my 50 damage in my 4 dagger specials or the 2-3 whip hits after that. What's most annoying to me is when I'm the only one fighting a portal, and there are 4 level 50-90 players standing nearby just hitting the regular (non-spinner) monsters trying to get their 50 damage.
  2. I'd say that the capital of F2P is World 1 Varrock West, and the capital of P2P is World 2 Falador East. They have a large-city capital feeling to them - always lots going on at all times of the day.
  3. I'm pretty good at one-hitting ducks, monkeys (karamja) and normal goblins. I can do it probably 90% of the time.
  4. Red party hats were (at the lowest I can actually remember them) 200k, this was when they were actually sold by the Party Shop NPC in Varrok. Can anyone else remember camping there hoping to god you would get the next one? XD I remember that! There was also that discontinued items spawn location in Lumbridge in 2001. I spent 2 hours there one day, and walked away with 2 Half Wines, a Party Hat Set, a Christmas Cracker, a Mask Set, 2 Yo-yos, a Santa and a Scythe. I wish I had held on to all that stuff (instead of selling them all to buy an Addy Scimmy)... I'm sure that stuff is quite valuable now!
  5. What does he need customer service skills or physical skills for when he has a Masters in EE?
  6. Only 10-12 hours a day? I was expecting at least 16 :D After all, you only need 5 hours of sleep a day, and you can eat at the computer and use the bathroom while your guy is engaged in combat. The interview is very well done - I like the selection of question asked. I played a lot for awhile - I got to around 1600 total, around level 120, and around $300M bank in under a year while maintaining a challenging full-time job, a relationship, and exercising a few hours a week. The main problem I had with it is that if I went to bed at 3 a.m. after training slayer or prayer or agility for 8 straight hours, I'd often go to bed thinking "wow, I hate what I'm doing with my life." However, if I had spent the night with my significant other or if I had spent the night playing sports with friends, I'd think "life is pretty good." Name recognition and fame (even online) is fairly hard to come by. I wonder if n0valyfe can turn it to his advantage somehow. Maybe some employer will think "if he's capable of focusing on something long enough to become the best, then maybe he's worth hiring." Then again, potential employers might just think "hum, just another gaming addict."
