  1. This sounds interesting, but I think you may need to elaborate on it a bit more. All you have said is that the god of war blades of chaos are cool, but not really shown how something like this could be implemented into runescape. By the way, salamanders require magic, strength and ranged levels and give you exp to either one of them depending on your attack style.
  2. I could imagine them adding more metal dragons (doubtful about dragonite) and some more brutal dragons, but possibly not that high levelled. I wouldn't see new king dragons happening though. The king black dragon was created because black dragons were the most powerful so of course they had to have a king which (used to be) the most powerful dragon. I must say though, you have put a good deal of thought into this, but I'm not so sure that Jagex uses formulae to decide the level of their monsters, they probably just choose what they think is appropriate for the monster Also after seeing your post I got quite the thought. "brutal king dragonite dragon" level 2431 by my calculations using your percentages. Attacks with all forms of attack, always one hits if you don't have correst protection prayer, single combat zone, Drops full dragon... Everytime... no questions :XD: I could so imagine that...
  3. Fire strike is by far cheaper with air runes and a fire staff as opposed to fire runes and an air staff. Sorry to get you down, but your idea is not all that good. Air running is only profitable to crafters because of the high amount of runes you can get at relatively low levels. You can make a maximum of what 3 or 4 fires per run, at which point you could make 8 or 9 airs per run. To link this to running, it may not be as much xp-wise, but it is far better money wise for both the runners and the crafters. Fire runners would make less profit (because of distance of fire altar) and so would the crafters (because of less demand and less fires made)
  4. This defines husbandry as farming anyway. In the sense you are using it in, Husbandry and Farming are, to all practicalities, identical.
  5. Okay I found another one. It's not a runescape forums one, this is on youtube. Comment about a DC Hoops Commercial here is the link if you wanna see the video and some of the other funny comments.
  6. See siggy. I know it's small but everything should still be visible. Also with the ranger you will have to ignore the hat because of the no holday items rule. If it really is too difficult to tell what is what here is the breakdown of what I am wearing in each of the little pics. P.S. The prices are in the range of +/- 100k and are what I pay in FTP so they very well could be much cheaper in PTP. Ranger: <------ Costs around 550k - Full Green D'hide (g) (chaps and body) - Green D'hide vambs - Willow Comp - Fancy Boots - Power ammy - Yellow cape Warrior: <------ Costs around 1.4m - Full Rune (g) (plate, legs, helm and kite) - gold gloves - yellow cape - fancy boots - rune scimitar - str ammy (t) Mage: <------ This is My personal Favourite, Costs around 1M - Full wizzy (g) (hat, top and skirt) - gold gloves - yellow cape - fancy boots - Rune (g) kite - Mage ammy (t) - Skull Sceptre EDIT: The Mage, which I lean to most, would probably be best for 50gp (because of all the gold) The others I'm not so sure about.
  7. This guys got a point. im sure if u droped a huge as diamond from a considerable height it would take some severe damage, but its tough enough to scratch virtually any other material (dont bother getting technical im sure some things are tougher then diamonds.) Actually diamonds are the hardest thing on earth, just to confirm your thoughts and are capable of scratching any other material. They score a 10 on the Moh's hardness scale (that is the highest you can possibly get) but they are not the toughest material on earth. Toughness refers to its resistance to being crushed, which is similar to what happens when something is dropped. A stone such as jade for example, is much softer, than diamond, meaning it will be scratched easilier, but it is much tougher than diamond, meaning it will take much more force to crush it.
  8. Check out these 2. They're by the same guy in the rants forums. http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?27,28,819,42033625 Him playing the role of a lvl 30 noob complaining about everything and anything. Also someone didn't read the whole thing and thought he really was a level 30 noob complaining about everything, quite funny. http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?27,28,346,41595559 His reaction to some of the ridiculous randoms, mostly in a satirical manner.
  9. I agree that the chicken costum looks a little silly, but thats mainly because of the chicken head. The chicken feet however, are the closest thing I, as a free to player, have to gold coloured leather boots to match my (g) gear, so I'm not complaining. I actually don't think the top and the legs look that bad though and the actual event was pretty fun, even if it was really short.
  10. Tell me that is not hilarious. Jagex ripping on themselves not being able to properly complete RC (lack of blood and soul altar etc...). hahahaha :XD:
  11. try killing your self, make a new 1 and try to pick it up... Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work... I commited suicide using the scorpion in the prayer guild (becuause I'm ftp) and I came back quick enough to pick up my bones but I think this is one of those items which you really can't own two of... Probably the same with the fancy/fighting boots, but I haven't tested those out yet...
  12. I didn't see this here, but I've heard its only possible to get one skull sceptre. Are there any ways to get extras?
  13. It is not possible to get Ahab's beer. Try anything, telegrabbing, going up to it and taking it... it is not possible to take it. If you are wondering who Ahab is he is in the The Rusty Anchor Bar in Port Sarim.
  14. Just for an interesting little fact, translated that means "Are you able to speak French?" Makes sense becuase berets seem to be a very French style of hat. Just thought I'd mention it... Also In the crafting guild when you examine each of the Master Crafters you get three different messages Old one with white hair wearing crafting cape: He's In charge of the crafting guild Middle aged one: He works in the crafting guild Young one with dreads: He wanders around the crafting guild pretending to be working :XD:
  15. That is because if you were to push a chisel into a diamond with enough force it would split the diamond and (hopefully) chip off the right part of the diamond to cut it correctly, although in the way it is animated it would do nothing but rub down the chisel. In fact before proper cutting techniques two diamonds would be rubbed together on certain angles to rub and grind them down to be shaped like a octahedron with the top of one point cut off, so from the side it would look like a traingle connected to a trapezoid.
  16. I would like to siggify this, unless you have any objections to that, which you can pm to me. That is one of the best, most logical things I've ever read. Major props to you. (The quote that is, not the topic) As for the topic and its creator, sorry for your losses, but like Da Guru said Those are indeed some wise words
  17. in level 7 if you follow the clue and run sndrec it comes up with sound recorder. I have a feeling this means you have to record something. If only i had a mic... :(
  18. Everything would rise should the rares be removed because the rares absorb a lot of the inflation. Think about it, the supply and demand for most items is fairly balanced for the prices they are right now, but the amount of money coming into the game is becoming more and more. More money means that the money already there has less value because the money itself is becoming less rare because of greater supply. In the same way, if a huge amount of any item was to be insterted into the game, the price of that item would drop because it has less rarity and value. This doesn't happen in runescape though and prices of most items stay pretty constant due to the rares absorbing all the inflation as those are the only items which supply can never match demand.
  19. *bump* C'mon there must be more skaters than this. Don't let this topic die...
  20. Indeed you are correct. The actual loophole was that priests had taken a vow to never shed any blood, not to refrain from killing people. By bashing someone's skull in with a mace, they are not actually shedding any blood. Also we would want samurai weaponry. Samurais are the ones that weilded katanas and the like.
  21. see my sig \/ This is from left to right Ranger Outfit: Head: tri-jester hat (thats the green one) Amulet: Amulet of power Body: green d'hide body [g] Legs: green d'hide chaps [g] Gloves: green d'hide vambs Weapon: Willow comp bow Boots: Fancy boots Shield: none Cape: yellow cape Ring: Diamond ring (it has no purpose, I just like jewellery) Melee Outfit: Head: rune full helm [g] Amulet: Amulet of strength [t] Body: rune plate [g] Legs: rune legs [g] Gloves: gold gloves Weapon: rune scimitar Boots: Fancy boots Shield: rune kite [g] Cape: yellow cape Ring: Diamond ring (it has no purpose, I just like jewellery) Mager/skilling Outfit: Head: wizard hat [g] Amulet: Amulet of magic [t] Body: wizard robes [g] Legs: blue skirt [g] Gloves: gold gloves Weapon: elemental staff (usually fire) for training or skull sceptre for looks Boots: Fancy boots Shield: rune kite [g] Cape: yellow cape Ring: Diamond ring (it has no purpose, I just like jewellery) Exploring wildy outfit Head: none Amulet: holy symbol Body: monk robe Legs: monk robe Gloves: none Weapon: R2H or Rune Mace Boots: none Shield: none Cape: none Ring: none My Pking outfits are the same as my mager/melee/ranger/wildy outfits but without the trimmed stuff, cape, ring, or gold gloves and generally with just a power ammy instead of the three different types and of course a maple shortbow instead of comp bow... I'm a free to player by the way so thats why my outfits are nothing special.
  22. Nollie tres are definately easier than normal tres, especially for me because of my ankles, it hurts sometimes when I do normal tre. For some reason (probably the ankle) I can switch tre better than normal tre... the logic doesn't work at all, but hey if you up to it, I recommend giving any trick a shot - you never know what you can do until you try. Hey since you got nollie 360 shuvs down, just place your back foot a little closer to your front and angle it pointing to the tail, very much like that of a normal tre but in reverse. Then pop it just like a nollie 360 shuv. I guarantee you will at least get the flip of a nollie tre. This is a great topic you started. Now I finally have somewhere to talk to everyone here about skating.
  23. Just pivot on the nose without ollieing a couple times. When that feels comfortable then do a little ollie and land on the nose and pivot it like you would on the ground. This technique is especially useful for back 180s and full cabs, both of which I can't actually do without pivots. Just be careful because pivoting can lead to bad habits for stairs because you can't pivot down most sets of stairs. As for reverts do the same thing, but make sure you are skating on a smooth surface otherwise you won't be able to do it very easily. I had the same problem. Just jump down the set without your board first to get the feel of the set. Then when you feel comfortable just go as fast as possible and ollie. First shot you don't need to commit, you can just shove the board away, that just gives you the feeling that 'yes, I'm not going to die doing this.' After that you should feel pretty comfortable. Also use the fear and adrenalin to your advantage. Also for anybody who wants to see it I just put my nollie tre on youtube. Here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tshweLNVoQ0
  24. Ughhh... Don't tell me about broken boards. I break mine so quickly and easily it's ridiculous. If I have a board for over a month, it has lasted me a long, long time. One time I literally broke two boards in a week. I bought them from a sale for 20 dollars each. One I broke in two days after nollieing a seven 7. It broke all the way off too, as in the tail flew off the board. The other one took three days to break, and I broke it trying to switch kicky a six stair. It was really funny though, because i was getting so close every time and then I broke the nose and I was like 'oh well, I'll just push it into place and hope it holds until I can land this'. Next shot the tail breaks as well. Naturally, once this happened, me and my mates finished it off by breaking it into as many pieces as possible. My personal record is like 20 or so. When I did that, there was a piece of the board that was just the little square of the trucks... :-w As for best tricks, I'm a reg skater but I skate tons of switch and nollie (I reckon I can actually skate better on flat switch than reg, but not down stairs or anything else) so on flat my best/favourite trick would have to be nollie inward heel (if you get these down they give you the best feeling every time you land it, because they flow so good) or switch tres, because they've won me so many games of skate against my mates. Down something, I would have to say nollie tre down 5 that took me like a solid hour to land, but I did it kinda ugly though, I almost lost balance and turned to the left and it looked kinda bad, but hey, a nollie tre down five is a nollie tre down five so I shouldn't complain about it. Ahh, memories, I have been skating since I was 10 and I'm 15 now and many of my good memories have been skating with friends back in the day when we were all learning. Now we still have an awesome time, pushing ourselves and each other to do bigger crazier stuff. By the way, a little tip for skaters, get ankle braces and knee braces if your ankles and/or knees are prone to injury. I've busted ankles so many times and even rolled an ankle while wearing an ankle brace (lucky I was wearing it because if I hadn't my ankle might have fractured) If anyone lives in Melbourne, Australia the sets I'm talking about are the clifton hill skatepark 6 and the MLC 5, although I'm not sure what the 7 is called it is in a church in Kew. Also a question for skaters. What clothes do you wear to skate - tight, punk rocker-ish clothes a la Dustin Dollin or baggy 'homie' gear like Brandon Biebel? Personally, I go with the baggy stuff, because it's so much more comfortable. P.S Happy birthday, I would get nike P-Rods if I were you, just because It's P-Rod, Have you seen Him Lately? If you haven't seen Forecast, I strongly recommend you see his part, His ender is a switch Inward heel down the 11 that Jeremy Rodgers Switch Tres in the DVS vid. Crazy stuff.
