If tech heads are noobs....then why do we listen to them.... :?

This is a normal question for any browser to ask.....just click YES...and if you dont want to see the message again...uncheck the "sho this message every time(or whatever it says)" box before clicking yes... I hardly see this is a "firefox is screwed up" problem...do you have any other problems with firefox?
-
You are probably ver well protected, (as was evident by the warning that you got) Most routers now also come with some degree of a firewall...Just make sure every computer on your network has these security programs
-
Do you have this problem in other programs as well? I know i had a similar problem(stilld do in WIN ME....but i never use it anyway), but to a greater scale...I had little squares on practically every program...I fixed half of them by changing options and re-installing programs...but windows installer could never be fixed  Also...what OS are you operating in? EDIT: I'm not sure about this....but i beleive this problem can also be caused by corrupt font files....

"Windows error : there is no disk in the drive"
jargon replied to Futurama's topic in Tech and Computers
Well....thats got to be really weird.....why don't you try and see if daemon tools causes the probelm, just close it down for awhile... -
There are people who can use computers for 100 years, without anti-virus and never get a virus, most of the time it all depends on your own actoins. Having said that, it is still a good idea to have the protection there....just in case you happen to make the odd mistake. But to say that all the virus' are gone, now that is incorrect. But to say that you can avoid getting any viruses without anti-virus, now that can be correct. :)

"Windows error : there is no disk in the drive"
jargon replied to Futurama's topic in Tech and Computers
This error usually pop's up when you try and run features that are only available on the CD OR if you eject a CD that was in your CD drive, while the computer is reading it...Though...Adobe Photoshop shouldnt need the CD :? Daemon shouldnt cause any problesm....unless it replaces your CD Drive Letter (I have Daemon and it casues no problems....) You could try re-installing the programs that have this problem....that useually fixes most problems... :P EDIT: When in photoshop does windows pop up this error? At the beggining of the program? When you open a certain program? I know you said random, but is there a noticeable pattern? -

I doubt system restore might be of any use. If you dont want to lose all your data, you could try and repair windows....though....if a virus is the cause....then, this probably is not the best option. EDIT Also, i forgot to say this earlier, NEVER i repeat, NEVER EVER turn your computer off by unplugging it or pulling out the battery, use the power button, thats what its there for. -
Now i'm confused :?: :?

If you want to reastart the computer, simply hold the power button till power kills, then turn the computer back on. EDIT On some computers, you hold the power button for like 10 secs then let go... -
Well....thats nice....but how do you come to the conclusion that we need no more anti-virus? (by the way, we are practically in the year 2006)

When windows xp boots in safe mode, it wil list a bunch of computer paths, this is the way safemode starts up....but does eventually load windows with a minimal drivers. Did windows come up? From reading your first post I beleive you either have a) a virus b)lost or missing systme files or c) a registry issue I had an issue like this before, turned out my drive letters were changed in the registry....screwd up my computer good... -
Someone's lost their marbles..... What makes you think that virus' went away?
-
What exactly is your point? Are you saying we dont need antivirus anymore? :?
-
Do you have this problem in IE as well? Did you install any programs or change any options that could cause this problem?
-
first thing: This game is non-downloadable. Secondly: you need to give more information. Ie. System specs (processor speed, RAM, OS etc.) Thirdly: we need to klnow what actually happens when you try and run the game.
-
Is it possible to just re-install the program? This might fix the probelm. Alos, what OS are you in? (windows XP, 98. 95, 3.1)
-
Lol...an exaggeration, but still funny

I think that this would be an excellent idea for Jagex to add to runescape. This is how I think it should work. Runescape Bank will give you a loan (a maximum amount will be set based on your credibility) and you can select a time when you want to repay the monny. Interest will build by 0.05% per day. If you fail to have enough money to pay back the loan, then the bank will remove items of equivelent vlaue from your bank. Any left over money will be automatically be taken out as you place items in the bank.

If this problem is occuring in the bios as well, then the problem is most likely not with windows, but with the hardware in the computer. It could be the bios or the motherboard...but of that I am not all to sure....You'd also do good in visiting the customer support page of you computer manufacturer.

A little more information would be helpful. The amount of information you have given us is equivelent to giving a 2-year old a hammer and telling him to build a house. :D So please tell us more, like what happens when you try to go to the forums site, and what heppens when you go to hotmail. You'd also do good in reading this http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=1249

Do you happen to know who manufactures your motherboard, and the model number? It appears that you have a hardware fault, either with your bios or motherboard, Lets get some basic facts out, heres what to do: Click Start --> Run Type DXDIAG, this will bring up a window showing system information. Near the bottom right, there is a button saying save all information, click it. Save the file where you like, then open it. Copy all the text under the Title of system information and post it here. Also, if you can, when you computer starts up, get into the bios settings, and watch the clock there to see if you have the same problem.
