Import\Tuner Cars
The tint is unnecessary, the rims are unnecessary, and depending on the equipment, I'm assuming the sound system is unnecessary. The mods are ricey but if the car is fast, it outweighs it to some degree. The tints are for security, people are less likely to break in when they don't know your wallet etc is there. + they offer good UV protection and stop glare from the sun so you have a better vision of the road. The rims are lightweight, thus decreasing the inertia of the wheel which makes it easier to turn therefore increasing acceleleration, obviously that's why i got them. : The sounds are quality over quantity... note the $2k is in NZD and i bought this stuff new back when it was the latest model, i'm aware it is worth less now. Blaupunkt LosAngeles MP74 (headunit) GTX102 x2 pair (front+rear spkrs) TSW1000 x2 (10" subs) GTA4100 (amp) GTA1300 (amp) IR steering wheel controller thingy Custom sub box I would be keen to hear your thoughts on this seeing as your an audio installer? My car is a 1994 BMW 328i AC Schnitzer it's quick mate. Here is a picy of my car when i first got it, (none of the above mods done) ill get a new 1 as soon as it stops raining My car I have no issue with window tint. I have a problem with overdone "limo" tint that ricers do that goes above and beyond the point of usefulness. It actually impedes vision outside of the car, but they think this is worth having "mad tyte tint" 18'' rims aren't overdone....I'm referring to huge, chrome rims that SLOW the car down due to increased weight. Obviously ricers feel this trade-off is worth it. Obviously the system seems fine...I have nothing wrong with a sound system, I have a problem with 4 15''s thrown into a plywood box with inefficent equipment supporting it. I realized I was a bit vague in the earlier post, it needed clearing up.

Import\Tuner Cars
Mmm....did I ever say I was fast? I said I'm as fast as a lightly modded V8 Camaro would be, everyones opinion of fast is different, I suppose. As I previously stated, theres nothing wrong with driving an import, or even modding the exterior. The problem is 95% of import "tuners" are clueless punks who want nothing more than attention. Furthermore, most people who have crazy body kits, and a nice paint job, have nothing done performance wise. Thus, these are ricers. What I'm trying to get at is that THE VAST MAJORITY of tuners are clueless. This isn't even import specific, I see riced domestics all the time, its all the same, stupid people with stupid cars.

yes i know that "riced" cares aren't usualy fast thats what im trying to say they are going for show rather than speed, and yeah there's some realy bad grammar in there but that's not the point. and u drive a camaro, awesome that doesn't tell me much. that 2nd paragraph i find offensive, don't act like your opinion is fact. and i don't support "ricers" what im saying is that the civ pictured isn't riced its a show car, the camry picture is pure rice. what do you mean by done "right"? is that you opinion? im getting sick of this argument and im ending it, you think show cars are rice i don't, lets just agree to disagree. Show cars are rice, unless they have the performance mods to back it up. Most don't. Period. Don't worry about my car, theres not one ridiculous mod done to it, all stock visually. I'd rather put my money into making the car fast. I think most people would agree.

Import\Tuner Cars
Ah depends on yout definiton of a "kid", i turn 18 in November... What kind if car do you have? How do have a car right? Picys pl0x "rice" is also alot about attitude, people acting like their car is a racecar when it clearly isn't quote i found on another forum, sums it up nicely. ....riced cars aren't fast, your quote is hilarious because whoever wrote it lacks basic english skills themself. I posted my car earlier in the thread, do more research. Moving on, I don't care if you're 22, if you support ricers, you might as well be 16, because thats the maturity level you're on. I have nothing wrong with people customizing their cars, as long as its done right, and none of this is right. I've seen body kits that look good, but most don't. You have much to learn as well.

That's riced? Haha nice mate nice. Whats your definition of riced car? You don't care how fast it is yet you say your camaro could own it? As for liking cars like this being a phase, it is for the 13-15 year olds hu watch the movies and read the mags that go through that, not the owners of the cars. Your right most of the exterior mods aren't functional but they bring an insane amout of street cred and the chicks love them. Most people who have a car like that civic own another car to run round in as you get sick of the speed bumps ripping of your kit and all the hassles like that. hehe More of you kids? My definition of rice is any "mods" that serve no purpose other than looks. I can get into the details if necessary. And yes, I will personally own his stock 350Z with a huge body kit, 24 inch rims, huge subwoofer system etc. etc. I don't care how many "chicks" your car gets, that doesn't make it any faster..
-
Import\Tuner Cars
YES, its rice. I don't care how fast it is, it looks ridiculous, and none of the exterior mods are functional. You admitted you can't drive yet, I'll give you a few years to grow up, then come back to me. We've all been through this phase, it's pointless. If this is your "dream car" I will personally own you with my camaro that looks completely stock from the outside, you have much to learn.

Import\Tuner Cars
Keep reading up on tunning  Dunno y, but i just love tuner cars more than american cars. Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against american cars...just some of the drivers. Think they're all big and bad because the have a 3.5+ liter engine. As for me, right now i drive a 2005 Civic Si. The black sheep of the Honda family...lol. Dunno y they jipped us this model. We don't even have the power Vtec...darn Honda. So far i've put about 2k in my car. Mods: Lowering springs, camber kit, blacked out headlights (did myself), Intake, Header, Short shifter, some audio upgrades (New HU and rear speakers), spoiler (not one big aluminum wing one, a real simple spoiler). I was plannin on keep on modding, (Exhaust, chip) till i can either save for a turbo or SC. And the "Winding" noise mostly come from Superchargers, Turbo's have a spooling sound. But...Most likely around Christmas i will be leasing either a G35 or the new IS250 and getting rid of the Si, so i stopped putting money into it. And for the guy i quoted....Turbo's replace your headers. Yep he has a true ricer mentality, you don't. Its refreshing to see people like you that drive import, and know what they are doing.

Uh...you're on the right track hating the Camry, but 90% of what you just listed you liked is rice. I'm a car audio installer and your audio wants are definetly not the right track to follow....The 350Z you just described is rice, please never do that to a car.

the yellow masacres
Don't recall......I do remember the sabres back in the old days (2001) I remember I befriended King Sabre for a while, then he dissapeared. I'm unsure of the clan's status these days.

Is it nessesary to be mean?
Am I disqualified from being a good flamer because I had to look up the definition of perspicacity? I've never even heard of that word. One major mistake "good" flamers make is using "big words" to get their point through. Just because you typed Antidisestablishmentarianism or Floccinaucinihilipilification on an online forum, it doesn't mean your IQ just rose by 50 or your post achieved heavenly status. Ha! The last statement is perhaps the best thing I've heard so far in this thread! Its SO true. These so called "smart" flamers try to set up proverbial walls by acting like they are uber-smart. They overexplain and embelish(sp?) to no end. Just another part of the "I'm better than you" attitude that has, thankfully, come to light in this last few posts. Or maybe because perspicÃÆÃâÃâácia is a fairly used word in portuguese, and the literal translation for it would be perspicacity. My first eye-rolling in over a year. Congratulations. I can get eyerolls out of the best of 'em! \

When and where did you first start playing Runescape?
Ha, yeah. Brings back lots of memories of times when adamantine was the best equipment available, and being past level 40 was a landmark.

Do you bite your nails?
Yep, I bite 'em 'til they bleed

When and where did you first start playing Runescape?
For me, it was in 8th grade computer class back in February 2001. I saw some kid looking at the site and checked it out myself. Naturally, games weren't allowed, so I had to be quick naming my character...Poopingman was the result. It eventually took over most of our grade, EVERYONE played it back then. I'm the lone survivor of that group that still plays.

Is it nessesary to be mean?
Indeed. Good flaming is priceless, and flaming thoughtfully is an art. I'm so angry because tons of ignorant teens don't realize this, flaming does not mean you run around cursing everything you see, calling a random person names then you think its clever or funny. That just makes you a jerk. I recommend reading a select few articles from maddox.xmission.com, it is really skillful flame (read: rational criticism) against something the author believes to be completely innecessary or irrelevant to modern world. Other than that, flaming does not belong to a rational discussion about philosophy or mathematics or something of the sort (unless some person clearly doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, you can use counter-points to prove him utterly wrong and he'll just crawl back to his hole). Lack of respect to other people makes you look ignorant and rather immature, especially if you're the one provoking. I wish more people understood this. That's not good flaming, Daan. I belive there are only 2 or 3 good flamers in this forum, and I'm not one of them, if that's what you understood I meant. Good flaming takes great amounts of intelligence, sense of irony and perspicacity. Am I disqualified from being a good flamer because I had to look up the definition of perspicacity? I've never even heard of that word. One major mistake "good" flamers make is using "big words" to get their point through. How come you registered at Tip.it?
Been playing Runescape for the better part of 4 and a half years. I joined the forum years back when it had a much more callous reputation, and was banned a few times. I came back last year to pleasently find it has a much friendlier atmosphere now. So far so good!

Bullet For My Valentine fans out there?
Yeah they're pretty good. Sounds similar to like...atreyu, or trivium. Kind of like metalcore with a hint of emo.

Is it nessesary to be mean?
Indeed. Good flaming is priceless, and flaming thoughtfully is an art. I feel that this mentality may very well be the root of the whole issue. I don't mean to single you out, since dozens (obviously) share your mindset. However, it often comes off as being snide, snoody, stuck-up, and something in the vein of "I'm too good to waste my time with you". Some people take it, and some people can't stand it. I guess I'm one of them that doesn't.
-
Is it nessesary to be mean?
See, that's the problem. You think you know what the reason is, but you don't, and you won't listen to anyone when we try to explain it to you. Everyone thinks don't they? Whatever I think on a topic is my opinion. I'm not entitled to that? Then you guys lay out your points, and I lay out mine, I was never accused of "not listening" to people....This is getting a bit deep, if you are so inclined to continue, please PM me. Ha, now that I think of it, you're the only person on these boards that knows I'm not a 30 year old goon sitting in my mothers basement flinging poop against a wall!
