Explain, this seems like a good idea. I did a little bit of research, and it looks like I can do this with eggs. Can you please elaborate? Eggs? Osmosis is the Diffusion of water across a semi permeable membrane. Ill see if i can find a diagram to show you how the experiment would go. Eggs have membranes :P :-k Since when? Eggs are cells, so they probably have membranes.

So, I need to make a science fair project for my science class. Right now, I'm a sophomore in high school, and my teacher expects a lot. Does anyone have any ideas of topics for me? I think I can get access to a lab to perform some experiments if I need to. Any help would be appreciated...

The elves magically transform them when I post for the spirit of Christmas. Haha, sure.

Ummm, hi, I don't really know you, but hi! This may seem like a stupid question, but why is everyone from June or July 2004?

It's warm here; it should be snowing right now. Oh, well, warm weather, the sun's out, I'm happy. Take that, Al Gore!

Blipo's 14?! Yes. How old did you think I was? Like...20... Anyway, religion should not be brought into the classroom. There is no way you can find a teacher who is totally unbiased. In fact, I doubt you'll be able to find anyone who's totally unbiased.

A gnome togue? You can't be serious...

My old school doesn't have a wiki page and it was founded in 1760. A few others where I live aren't either, and no I don't live in a 3rd world country  Then you should go make one.

I never liked, nor understood, American football. Meh, it's a complicated game. :-# I actually went to a U of M game, and fell asleep. All they did was stop every 10 seconds for 4 minutes. It drove me crazy. So I stick to hockey and football (soccer). A) You live in Ann Arbor? B) U of M football games are the best. What could be more entertaining than watching 250 lb men beating the crap out of each other?

Blipo's 14?! Oh, and it might also help to mention that the religious man is one of the best scientists in his field.

Stay vegetarian, all it means is more meat for me.

Yes, because Bill Gates can make way more than $1 in the amount of time it takes for him to stop and pick the money up.

It's reading comprehension, math, and writing. The SATs measures how well you will do in college, not what you have already learned.

God, what a loss. Woody Hayes and him practically built the whole Ohio-Michigan rivalry. There is no doubt that he will be missed.

Should've gotten a minivan. More ecconomical. Minivans are ugly. :-w Are you kidding me? That is pure awesomeness... -
No apostrophe plox  Capitalize the E in English and separate "noone." The period comes after the quotations. I don't mind if people don't use correct grammar or not. As long as I can read it it's fine with me. :) Are you sure? Because I thought that punctuation always went under quotations. Not in this case, if the subject being quoted is a full sentance you would give it's according punctuation. Ex: Who was it who said: "The Bigger they are, the harder they fall?" the punctuation is inside the quatation because the subject is a question. Actually, according to both The Associated Press Stylebook and Elements of Style, commas always go inside quotation marks. Too bad that's a period, not a comma. Hmmm, turns out it actually depends on where you live. http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/ ... tation.htm

Your blinding me with logic Mr. Anethesia. Next time think it out first, just because something is improbable doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Congrats Darkrick, the chances of that are incredibly small, I guess you just got lucky. Do you mind sharing what site that was? I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic, and that was a reference to all the religious threads denying the possibility of evolution around this forum. Edit: Nadril got there first.

Same here. I've heard numerous people complain that violent video games cause our youth to become violent. I've played a lot of violent video games and I don't go around punching, stabbing, or shooting random people. Yeah, I can be violent but you have to do something to me first. I remember when 'Manhunt' was banned in numerous countries. I own the game and I had fun playing it but it didn't make me shoot someone with a nail gun, suffocate them with a plasic bag, or stab with with a shard of glass. I really think our society needs to lighten up on video games. The only way a video game is going to make you kill someone is if you're mentally unstable, but then you shouldn't have access to those if it's known that you're mentally unstable... *end mindless rambling* It might not affect you, but if a little kid got his hands on the game, then there might be trouble.

I didn't know that Affirmative Action applied to things other than university admissions. But even so, how would Affirmative Action help counter discrimination in the workplace? If someone got a job through Affirmative Action, wouldn't others just look down on them in contempt? The way I see it, Affirmative Action seems to screw over poor whites and Asians.

Why not base it on economic status, rather than race then?
