It's not about difficulty, it's more so the fact that the entire world except for one country uses metric.

This. In my chem and calc classes in high school, we learned all the basic conversions. Considering all scientific measurements uses metric, there would be no need to. eg. SATP and STP are listed in metric Don't forget the added ease of converting to Kelvin (just adding 273 to the Celcius temperature).

Go to a place that sells that sort of stuff and pick out something you like.

Runescape improved my typing skills tenfold while CoD helped me to pick out more details from things and improved my reaction time in general.

Don't remind me. I did that but I swear I almost got an ulcer.

It affects clues but not effigies to answer your question. I have received many 'your ring of wealth shines more brightly!' messages upon receiving clue scrolls, but on getting an effigy, I did not get such a message.

I almost did that during the nova gas mission. I can't remember which one it was. It's when you were in the suits. It took me 2 hours to get past that, then the part afterward was just so difficult I gave up.
