  1. I would reach out to friends and family. You probably have more friends than you know.

Yeah, the decline hit forums quite hard as people could just use wiki or clan chats for answers to questions. Or, hell, even video guides. All much easier than posting on a forum. By the time I was an admin on Zybez, we had lost quite a lot of ground and tried to revitalize the boards using competitions, etc. Our main site was desperately out of date because we had no more content team members who were willing to update the site. There was just far too much to update with too few people. I'd assume it was similar here. We were successful briefly with the OSRS Exchange but it didn't last long when Jagex introduced the G.E. Pretty soon our main bread and butter came in from the clan section. Then when that started to decline, the boards became a ghost town and sure enough Curse (our parent company) closed it down because it became too expensive to maintain.

How come this qwerty person doesn't want my account? I'm offended.

Yeah, I can see how it would apply in that way. I guess I was spoiled with a simpler "rating system" elsewhere which simplified everything greatly (e.g. when to suspend for 21 days as opposed to 7 days, or when to give a final warning, etc) so got to see both worlds.

Yeah, I did find the system a bit unnecessarily bureaucratic.

I find that I regret not taking shots more than I regret taking them.

Being honest, I haven't really found love for myself yet. I know I will, but I'm just not there yet. What I've done is that I'm focusing on myself career wise. Trying to build myself up from the bottom will give me a solid foundation for any relationships or anything else I want to build. e.g. I originally wanted to become a physician, but at this point in my life it's probably better to move towards becoming a nurse practitioner instead. Less years of stress and I can start my career sooner. -- I had a strange dream last night. It featured a girl who used to bully me throughout high school but ironically she was chair of the "anti-bullying" committee at the school. I still laugh at the irony to this day.
  10. Welcome aboard. It's unfortunate that these boards are no longer where they used to be activity wise. Still nice to see some new faces. :-)

Sorry to hear that Saq. I can't comprehend the loss you must be feeling right now.

What was the job? Also if TIF dies, you guys can PM me on here and I can give you my Facebook info if you want. Or some other form of communication if desired.

Was down earlier, thought it was the end. Speaking of which, should we do a thing where if TIF goes down we stay in contact in some way, shape or form?

You'd think I'd learn being in my 6th year of university putting off essays to the last minute is never a good idea.

I'd like to think I did. But I reflected back on it and realized I could've done some things different that's for sure.

Not entirely sure if it's worth getting anything for Black Friday here in Canada.

If you don't need a reference, should just use your vacation time then quit. Because they wouldn't give you two weeks notice when they fire you. #edgycommunist I'd say treating employers like they treat you is about as capitalist as you can get :D In my experience, most employers just pay 4% on every cheque.

Depends on level of service. :( I'm still going in.
