Any way you could open it up and fix it? A laptop I had was having an issue with the button and I just opened it and managed to fix the mechanism controlling it. I don't know if phones are so amenable to tinkering though... I'd have to either replace the motherboard, or replace the power button on the motherboard. Both technically possible, but expensive/time consuming enough that buying a new phone makes more sense to me. I do actually have my old one working now, I took out the external power button and manipulate the switch with a paperclip. Not a long term solution... What kind of phone is it? Unfortunately I'm a bit of a sheep who upgrades every two years. Would probably save money just buying a durable phone and keeping it.

If you've been shitting blood that long it could be something serious like cancer. I highly recommend going to the doctors as soon as you can. If there's something bleeding down there then it's absolutely not a good thing. Associating an open sore with shit is never a good thing, so why should bleeding in your intestinal tract be any better? TotalBiscuit had a similar event. Better earlier than later man. Simply ignoring a health issue won't make it go away. Find someone you trust and get them to go with you. This way you feel more comfortable talking to the doc if you need it.

Another night shift (on break currently). Last time I worked I called the police on a suspected kid running away from home. It started to be suspicious when he began to ask for directions to a city around ~30km away... by bicycle at around 3:30 in the morning. If it were an older man I wouldn't be concerned but he looked no more than 15. I asked him some follow up questions, which made me feel even more uneasy. Sure enough, my assumption was correct when I saw the media release on my local police's webpage with someone matching the exact same description (from the area too).
