No, it's not wise. It's just being ignorant. You can be wise and research new technology without ending the world. And that's a ridiculous scenario. I didn't deny that it's ignorant, but think about it, if one world power has invisibility, they could get an elite team, and walk them inside the ruler's residence, assasinate him and the chaos will destroy the whole country.. i don't want to be a doomsayer, and i don't say that WILL happen, but it's just human, the human wants power...

Pretty much all giant science breaktroughs get announced. Those people are proud they are able to create such things. And it's true a lot of people don't believe it. I think it's just because it's new, or because people have been trying so hard to find it without success. 50 years ago, most people wouldn't believe cloning would happen. Now you can get your dog cloned for 50k dollars (and the price will drop). 100 years ago, people thought it was impossible to go to the moon. 200 years ago, people thought the earth was flat. People didn't believe Columbus either. Cloning, mutation, it's all possible now. Science improves very fast. It just has to happen one day. People are afraid of new things, and certainly things like these, which will have a giant impact. Immortality? I believe we will be able to achieve this one day. When? I hope not soon. But when that day arrives, a lot of people won't believe it either (I think, times may change). As for it being a state secret. The atom bomb was a state secret. I heard about that. :lol: There are more important things going on right now. Iran isn't a big deal. no iran isn't, either china or america will be the badass enemy of the world in the next world war (i reckon) and Russia will fight for the good guys

I think it's pretty cowardly to stop learning about the world around you because you're afraid of getting hurt in the process. This is a really interesting topic. I think it has real potential. It's incredible. I love science and its improvements. And also, wow! Invisibility cloaks! Awesome! :D cowardly, yes, wise, yes if we have a choice: know all secrets in the world BUT ending the world within 50 years, or having things to dream about and having the world last for ages, i'd certainly choose for the latter

Speed stacking however, trains your reflexes and your hand-eye coordination, i know, it has happened to me.] If you think this is "easy" then go buy a set (if you can even be bothered -.-) and try it out. I dare you to do it within 15 seconds. i wouldn't be able to do it, but i mean, all you do is train your coordination for stacking cups, tabletennis works better and has at least a better reputation and is a bit less nerdy (though it is still nerdy)
