Read the article. Runescape is a game, and a game is what YOU want it to be. What "playing Runescape" is to you may be a completely different thing for another person.

So what "full access" do free players get to any skill? Thus, you're right when you say that, "If it was a trial version, then we would have limited access to all skills...". But you're wrong when you say free players have full access to any skill whatsoever. Anyways, f2p is a trial version of the game. If it was the full game, with the member's as the "expansion", you wouldn't get messages saying "you need to be on a member's server..." etc.

Phats don't make you popular, they get you admiration and an increasing amount of money all the time, which you can then use to buy your little bones... The point of buying a party hat in the case of 98% of all trades is because of the money.

Yes! You could train your range, prayer, strength, attack, hitpoints and defence to 99 if you did that! As long as you stay there for half a year. And, a dozen arrows per 3 minotaurs is NOTHING. There are MUCH better and quicker ways to get iron arrows than killing minotaurs for endless hours. And the law runes. 80 laws an hour is NOTHING. Plus, people who can actually kill the weird purple skeleton things in 1/2 a second without taking any damage would have to be at least lvl 70+. And, as stated by a couple of the players above, nobody cares about body runes or iron arrows.

Ooo, i had a good dream once. I was this lvl 126 with 200M XP in every single skill, then i went into the wildy, and saw that every1 was wearing a blue party hat! I killed them all and got tons of blue phats, and then when I went to my bank to store the phats, I suddenly became a jmod, and I was soo happy, then as I ran back into the wildy, I started thinking to myself: wouldn't it be just the greatest thing ever if people became a tad more realistic...?

I think what you're suggesting is that, has Runescape interfered with some of the more "important" things in life (education, career, family etc)? In this case, no, RS has not caused me to not "have a life". Do you agree with what i'm saying? No, what you're saying is pretty biased and purely based on personal opinion.

has anybody found out whether the market has flucctuated or not? I would think that the consequnces this update has had on the market would be the biggest issue here.

4mil is actualy very easy to make, you just hafta know what you're doing, have some patience, along with a pinch of luck. And yes, one bowstring can basically be effortlessly made, but what about 1,000 bowstrings? people usually pay 150 for flax in the hundreds, if not thousands, same goes for ore and logs and all that other stuff.

interesting idea. if this is going to succeed, you will need massive support from both f2p and p2p players. you should advertise and promote this all over runescape if you want more attention directed at this issue.

lol. guess what? jagex just put up an article telling its players not to get too emotionally involved into the game. It is just a game after all. Relax and have fun.

yeah, it'd probably take you a year or two of hardcore gaming just to max out all non member skills, if you have all the money that is... You'd also require hundreds of millions of gp unless you wanna chop all the firewood yourself for fire making, fish all the seafood you need for cooking, kill all the npcs for their bones...etc. So, not to dicourage you or anything, just remember to consider all the factors before aiming for a goal like this.

Right. I don't know what you mean exactly by "safe", but I can tell you that Tip.it is the best Runescape fansite you can possibly find, so if I were you, I would feel "safe" and secure with visiting and using this site.

Although the knowledge base is currently somewhat lacking in information when compared to fansites, the knowledge base is very user friendly, and allows others to access info quickly and efficiently, the information is also very well organized. And since this base is only in its very early beta stage, it has a lot of potential to expand. From what I can see, I think Jagex is trying to make the offical site the main source for game information. This can be considered a threat against any fansite's information, but not the fansite's community. Many popular and widespread games like WoW have the most detailed information on the official sites, while smaller, less known games usually have most of the game info on third party fansites. If Jagex is aiming to become the main source of game info, then they will crush all competition; after all, who else knows the whole game inside out, is paid to create a professional guide on the game, and has the time to create a high quality guide like this?

it was fun, we got mostly owned by lvl90+ SE of the rune mine though :( oh well, it was still fun lol
