  1. Uhoh...My avast isnt on the list.. Oh, well...I'm pretty safe...Havnt had a spyware or virus in at least 4 months. Or maybe they're hideing... Although, as colt may know, my friend isnt too safe =p
  2. I have the perfect, absolute, niceiest costume for myself! But i cant do saturdays I'll do cry to myself...:'(
  3. Hmm...Thanks! I'm surprised still that .wav is included. Hmm? The bold you mean to say included, correct? Maybe i'm wrong - thanks! looking for a few more responses though - thankyou =) ~Lews Therin Kinslayer~ -Olo Eopia- =)
  4. While i appreciate your help, It doesnt solve much. First off, .Wav is an uncompressed format used generally for short clips. That much i know, and therefor chances are that my music *does not* use it. :'( Mp3 is an obvious :) But thanks And the other i dont know of I truly appreciate your help, but i'm still looking for more :), Lews Therin Kinslayer -Olo Eopia-
  5. Hello, I'm NOT looking for whether you prefer Itunes over winamp, or whatever else you use. I'd like to clarify that :). However, i am looking for aid in how to use my MediaMonkey software (5 stars from Cnet for media manager) song searcher. I can choose from most file formats, but I'm unaware of which ones are most likely game or non-song related. So far I've refined searches to "No songs less then 45 seconds, No songs less them 30KB, no .wav songs" That's reduced my results from 142k "songs" to 82k "songs". Obviously, I'm still missing something. (I only have about 3k real "songs"). Here are the song formats i can search for, thanks if you can help. Thanks anyway if you cant, but you're kind and hope it gets solved anyway :) ** Ape, Apl, CDA, FlAC, M3U, MAC, MP , MP1, MP2, MP3, MPC, MPP, OGG, PLS, VQF, WMA, WAV ** ~Lews Therin Kinslayer~ -Olo Eopia- PS, to any mod, If you feel its necessary; Please move this to comp
  6. Please excuse my comps silly double post :'(
  7. Yep. That would totally and absolutly s*ck!
  8. Ok, wow, i've been given loads of information. I trust most of you, except unfortunetly i feel i should disregard the information of the 1k motherboard specs. Sorry, too many people object (including me - it doesnt seem neccesary). It'll take me some time to bite all the info down, especially with my lack of free time. Ai-ya-ya. Notice, i complain that i got so much help. *slaps himself* Shame on me! Thanks alot folks! I'll be glad to finish with this riddled comp. As for the watercooling issue. Personally, i'd love to watercool. The comp will be right at home in my room, close to me for comfort ;), and so watercooling would be nice while it runs scans and such. Two things make me object; 1) I can survive with earplugs, i feel the extra costs dont balance with the fact i could spend it on other things 2) I dont think i should overclock 3) I hope with the comp being a "Bajinllion" times better, i dont think it'd take me 17 hours to run a full-everythingscan =p. (Ad-aware, registry, Spybot, Avast thorough, defrag, scandisk. My arsenal =-) So what? i cant count. Bah! when was the last time in mankinds 52 year span that counting mattered ;)?!
  9. Well...Lets see, you mean the big fan on the back, not the CPU fan? Right? Well, in anycase; yah, if the fans not working try to get a new one. Was the fan working before? If it wasnt, then that might not be the prob. *MIGHT*. But if it was, then thats definetly something you should fix. Fans arent too expensive now 'en days (hell, i dont remember them ever being) and you can probably grab one for 30 bucks. My old computer when i was lil' had a fan that wouldnt work (wayyy too dustyyyyy! I now use compressed air monthly. Works a charm!) and it caused freezes while playing games. The games required more memory, and thus created more heat. If you'd rather not read my bambling paragraph; I say fix the fan first. < Merged your post into the proper topic ~Albosky :) >
  10. Note to any mod: Please. I promise I'll get this down eventually, but this is only my second thread and I'm still pretty new. Please forgive me if this is (and unfortunately it likely is) the wrong forum. Could you spare me the blow and just move the thread, thanks a lot, i would really appreciate it :) Well, recently i got myself a Gmail account, after over a year of "i don't wanna loose my email collect/ I don't wanna transfer contact" lame excuses, i did it. Anyway, i experienced huge frustration. I mean, seriously! Ever good email was taken. Naff off, Squirrely, GroundedAngel, and Bwana were a few i thought of. (i had a list). Anyway, this made me think "So what good ideas did people have or do have for usernames) In anycase, i settled with SquirrlyE, but thats not the point. ~!~ READ HERE, I START GETTING TO THE POINT ~!~ Here i'd like people to post any username they thought would be a cool one. *Be Warned* Just in case you're really stupid and don't realize this; chances are some uncreative lazy bum will steal your idea if its good (or even if it isn't). So, don't post names you REALLY like and intend on using forever. But if you already have the accounts in use for it, then feel free to enlighten us :) Oh, and it doesn't hurt to give credit where it belongs. Please add if you "just picked it up" or if its truly original. Stealing ain't cool and it isn't getting you money, so don't. WALL OF BEST NAMES SO FAR :) - - - - - - - - - - - WALL OF "SPECIAL" NAMES ;) - - - - - - - - - - - - Some of mine, -Jargonian Mime -Enders Monkey -SquirrlyE -Naffoff -GroundedAngel -GroundedHawk -FrostedSunburn -Numbwithfire -FireproofPyro (Hmm..i might actually use this, please lay off)
  11. Lol, no problem. The double post isnt bad, and thanks for the help you gave me too :)
  12. Thanks, alot, and thanks again :). I'm still looking into it all again Ps to the person who said comps suck. Well, you suck. not really, but to say comps suck because they get outdated is really lame. dont be stupid and think before you type rofl. You're saying they suck because they get better and better. While i always did like pong, well...It got boring after a while...of destroying every at it ;). Anyway, seriously. Comps getting obsecelete is annoying. But hell! all it means is they're getting better. But dont get me wrong mejiman89, i truly appreciate your help and understand ya just telling me your mind. we all hate compys going oldy and wallets getting moldys cuz 0 it. :):):):) Lews Therin KINslayer :):):):) `~<>^v~ Olo Eopia `~<>^v~
  13. Hiya, i'm very happy i'm getting all this help :) I still wouldnt mind a few more valuable opinions, and so i'll ask for a few more :) Some general things i'd like to remind helpers of -I allout my money in junks. So, well, basically i want to spend most of the money. Does this mean i'd rather an itsy bitsy better comp for $500 more to fill the bugdget? No, but it does mean that i'd rather not head towards to 1.5k area and focus more on the 2k area. Thanks! -This is a gaming computer, and the indrusty is crazly expanding. In a day a computer is obsolete, i'm hoping my comp will survive at least 2 years before getting useless for new games ^_^ -I'm very gratiful and feel warm and fuzzy when people help me. Well, actually, i might want to edit this out. Afterall, i cant have helpers be scared. Oh, and militaris was correct in assuming i dont want to overclock. Unless i can be persuaded otherwise, but i've a good feeling overclocking the procceser is bad is one way or other. Afterall, the makers would then just overclock if it wasnt
  14. Ok, so you've been recommended AVG free right? Its good, but its also a free (not complete) version of AVG Personally i'd like to recommend AVAST! personal which is very powerful, comaparable to AVG Free and Macfee but it also has a few shields which AVG doesnt. Basically, its just as good but with a lil'things i prefer. Not to mention the pirate skin is great! ;) Arrgh! *starts poking everyone with a plastic stick*
  15. Hiya! I'm currently trying to get a custom build computer online. However, i need experienced peoples' help. After all, this will be my first custom WHY CUSTOM? Brand names like Alien ware and Gateway charge larger commission for advertising, and for the name (among other things). Just like an Acroambia-a-ma-jigger shirt will cost $20 more for the name alone. With custom i can also choose what parts i want, not paying for things i don't want. WHAT KIND? I'm looking for gaming computer under or at the budget of $2500. If need be I'll add a lil'more too. WHAT HELP IS NEEDED? Well, truthfully, i need help in everything. The first step would be finding a good site for this all. I also need help in getting to know what exactly i do need. What is worth it, and whats not? Whats needed for gaming? Oh, and, i don't need to pay double for the "very top" processor or what not which generally isn't more then 4% better then the predecessor. Basically, i believe second best stuff in tech is the best, am i right? THANKS here I'll be putting peoples' name who help me a little more then need be. As in, they're nice people who put extra work to help someone out, or get themselves on a little list that'll last maybe a week ;) -Militaris -darkrick - - - - - (In no order) PM me if you'd prefer
  16. I don't think he is getting any such NT authority system shutdown error. Hey, i'm new. sorry, i did say it might not work =p =)
  17. Thanks for any help. Off to safe mode for now, i'll be back later =)
  18. Start>Run> Shutdown_-A (_= space) That stops shutdown of computer. Its a shortterm thing, it might not work with fatal errors, sorry Worked with wormblaster ^_^ :)
  19. Hello, i'm currently running microsoft XP On a Vaio Sony Desktop computer (not mine, my colleagues. I dont know which year he bought it) I've used Macfee, Spybot, Ad-aware, Trend Micro, microsoft anti-spyware. Some of these can find variants of Spyaxe, and even remove a few. A few variants though, and the main still stays. If you want my Hijack log, i'll post it at the end. To any mods: I'm having a little dificulty serving on this cruddy computer (i need to post with it to post the log) and so i am sincerely sorry if i'm going against a sticky. Ps, i use also Zonealarm Pro (trtial) on this computer. It wont pick up anything but Giga Pocket (known), Sony IPT Framework, and Sony Vaio (acting as server). I've tried smitRem (runthis.bat) removal for spyaxe. Perhaps, though, i'm not using it properly. I did remove all visible traces of it. But, i know its still there... (some other random info. I have CCleaner. Oh, and before i came to help fix the comp, only Macfee virus payed security was on.
