  1. I've considered dell. Problem i find is they're very low quality. Sometimes you hear brilliant succeses, but altogether terrible customer support, and i dont trust a company that has so many customers, why do they need to care for another one? They're scaling down anyway. Their customizability is somewhat low, only a few peices are customizable, they dont do AMD either :s For a regular use computer i love them, cheap, efficient. For a gaming computer i want a company with a better more robust reputation
  2. Hey, stop flaming people, some people play the game for friends. Members can sit down and eat food at tables. Its a fun little thing while chatting in friend's poes. Why not have it on f2p? Well, he wants it on f2p too. Unfornetly i'm pretty sure they want f2p to be as crappy as possible so you pay up for members :(
  3. Yes. Its funny because people think they're scamming others off...And arent :) To clarify. Its based on person, not ring, so it doesnt matter. Just like recoils
  4. Sites like ibuypower let you customixze most parts with a decent selection. This makes me not have to worry about compatibility at all, which i like. I'm not sure how much i'd benefit from putting a computer together. Keeping in mind i'm spending loads of time simply deciding on a blooody website, i'd be absolutely hopeless deciding on individual parts :s Atm i'm mainly trying to find out how pricy/not pricy they are. I must be messing up because they are *not* notably more expensive then newegg. At one point with discount 5 dollars cheaper :s
  5. Its rather smooth on my psp. It can delay graphics making the base show up first, and then details, but usually only if i'm flying through the city like a looney and am going so fast that it cant keep up.
  6. Stumbleapon? i cant say its changed my life forever, but its changed my web experience forever
  7. The thing is i evidently dont have the knowledge....  :P  :)
  8. Well, Most custom sites will allow you to upgrade, but it makes the warrenty such that your upgrading, the upgraded part, and the effects of an upgraded part are not valid (damage to others ect). And oftentimes the OS can be cheaper + reinstalled. If its only about 60 dollars with perks more then i might prefer that over putting together and installing OS. Yes, i'm lazy, but value my time.
  9. Ok, i tried a setup for a special with some minor alterations (everything with a 'none' option so less work for me =p) Gamer-Sli modified, only 90 dollars more then buying each seperate part off newegg, if i did it right. 90 dollars off of 1,500, with my planned spending of 2,000 isnt much. + I just realized i messed up bad. theres a 5% discount off all computers above 1,000 so its less then 90 dollars. + There are bonuses! Free games that are likeable. With such a close price, i *must* have mesed up :(
  10. A 100% mark-up on the price isn't "reasonable service". Just a small example, to prove a friend of mine wrong, he gave me the specs for a $3800 Alienware machine off their website. The exact same machine (I'm not exagerating exact here, it was matched down to the model numbers on the parts), cost me under $2000 (after shipping too) off Newegg. He was rather glad he didn't order it after that. You're paying for a name and that shiny injected plastic case. If you want service, go find your neighborhood geek. (S)he will gladly put together a machine that matches Alienwares specs, and it'll cost you several orders of magnitude less. Yes. I clarified that they're a ripoff. Everyone knows that, they do not however have a bad customer service record according the the multiple reviews and polls i've found from reliable services. I wasnt advocating the use of them, nor anything. Pleasssseeeeeeee dont get off topic!
  11. Advantages of custom computer site, warranty, and i wont screw it up. The only 'neighborhood geek' i know is Circuit City has some junk scam that cleans your computer with regular products regularly for a massive charge called the 'geek squad'. I don't live in the city...There aren't really neighborhoods, its house separated by house.
  12. I like it, may i ask when mod nexus said that? And it looks like you have double gray monkey menegree staff thingies
  13. One thing i feel is you cant base anything on individuals. I mean those are two people who had a BAD experience no good. Take rants forum on rs for instant. TONS of unhappy people, but then there are fiftyfold ingaming playing. From what i read in various magazines and websites alienware scored decently high. I'm not saying they're still not a ripoff or anything, but they do have reasonable service. Dell and Abs have had popular bad feedback (these were mostly reader polls) which draws concern because Dell bought Alienware recently for street cred
  14. Actually. Quite a few people say they have good service, i believe thats an odd report. Unfornetly, while i do have the cash with a very large budget alienware have always been like a scaled down version of voodoo. Nice looking, but junk. Nor are they custom computer makers. They are tweakable, like dell, but NOT custom.
  15. I know you're all dieing to post things, dont be shy, i might not shoot you, common....^_^
  16. At least 21 is more fun then blackjack...^_^
  17. I remember my old computer when i got it was big, with 2gigs of space. And this one thats still an old computer has games that are 10 times as large, and only 3-4years older. You'll see in the future more and more need for space. I remember some quote where bill gates said computers will never need more then 16mb of ram, and then windows 95 needed 32mb+. Course space and ram are different, but the point is it gets magnified over time. And besides that it could easily be filled if you're into media and have photographs/vids. A friend of mine, a photographer, used 10gigs of space in 2 weeks for pictures. That goes by fast.
  18. Hey, i dont want to be a mean jerk, but a few requests. A) Please dont delve far off topic, i'm begging for help not comments on other people's comments. B) Please dont get insulted by my having rules on a topic begging for YOUR help ^_^ Keeping in note counteracting other comments is alright, but useless tidbits are like when you keep on talking...And make the world more text polluted. =p. Save a pixel! Ello! I'm looking for a custom computer site. So far i have found 4. http://www.Ibuypower.com http://www.maingear.com http://www.pugetsystems.com (< Top for 'custom computer' google search) http://www.cyberpowerpc.com I'm trying to decide which has the best value/selection. Puget seems to best, but overpriced. I like ibuypower which had the biggest ads of all =D=D, and maingeer and cyberpowerpc i havnt investigated yet much (just found) Do you know perhaps which is very good? Or which is known to be bad =p. Maybe you know other sites? Oh, and sorry brits...I cant buy from co.uk. While you guys have the most magazines at the store detailing good custom computer sites you're also very expensive to ship from and overall royally overpriced! =p
  19. I still remember one time, i was playing late at night. I vividly call this situation as an DARING !~ADVENTURE~! Beyond level 9 scorpions of death! And all over runescape f2p in a period of 40 minutes!!! I still know the person who helped me so much :) And am very grateful. I was a nub, completely confused with runescape. he taught me about mining a smithing, showed me all around, including a bit where i dashed past level 9 scorpions in some underground shortcut (still unknown to me!) and he helped me with Doric quest, earning me a smart 180gp, from which i bought iron chain mail, iron legs, and full helm from him. Who ever said customer service isnt essential?=p (Did i mention he was a super high level 33?) I agree, its nice to help people out, especially lil'newblets so young, innocent, and prone to corruption (tehehehe). Personally my policy is to help out people whenever i can. I don't pose as a guide through a quest for someone random, but I'm willing to pm through step by step and answer questions. Charge glories, and do a few higher level magic errands. I appreciate how you went above and beyond to help someone out that's cool.
  20. Using the highest level shelves and making tea you can additionally get 3 points :) (and it stacks with saw, so you get your alter earlier) And i've heard something about an evil stew with 3 yellow spices raising skill up to 6 levels? but thats seems odd, so i dunno
  21. Wow, its been a while since i've talked ^_^ I'm hiring4ess =p i doubt you remember me...lol... BUT Very nice!!! Definetly impressive goal and more impressive is how you're managing to squash it! Yah! Goooo!!!! Seriously. Nice. O:)
  22. While i totally disagree. Its not about the game, its about the 'relationships' you make in it. Basically its about the friendships, helping eachother, and enjoying it together. Yep, mushy, mush, happy happy land. But it just is. Crappy people become crappy or unsatisfied players, or even start cheating in an effort to feel better. ANNNYYYywaayyyy.... What i wanted to say was that while i dont agree one bit, it was a nice story... No, no, wait, i seriously like it. As a story. It was enjoyable, what can i say? I feel bad about enjoying your misery, sorry. Somewhat honestly.
  23. I spent 3 hours a few days back organizing my bank to its ultimate organization. I still would be happy and not disappointed at my wasted effort if your idea was implemented Not only is it incredibly explained and impressively rendered, but to top it off- its a great idea! Maybe how its been put together as such a guide that jagex will have less work deciding, they'll actually implement it. Until then, I'll have to survive with my expensive doubling up of all items and organization of rows. At least i can find my items, but its a pain is the '...' to reorganize things if you go through costume sets, especially 'special' unduplicatable ones.
  24. Thanks again! Good fakes, and instructions.. Thats like cheese AND wine. Or potatoes and...corn... Maybe even like same colored socks, yet somewhat more satifsying. (Turns out to be a real disapointment ya know? Not interested at all)
  25. Nice fakes! And name ^_^ I wub smelly socks. I mean...socks are useless when they're clean. They'll just get smelly in a few seconds, and then you have to clean them. Smelly socks on the other hand you can *use*! Wow. I have a few questions about your fakes... Could you tell me what you used for the frame movies? They're very good. And i noticed the runescape text from bloodvelds.com doesnt work in anything but regular chatboxes, not level advance or anything (it looks different slightly). Perhaps you used something different? Well, just overall nice fakes i liked them Thanks!, Kinslayer
