  1. simple way to do that, duplicate that layer into a new one, do a 5-10 px gausion blur, then use a transparency gradient, with the clear part focusing around the eye. PJB21 Gaussian blur :P I'd say select anything outside the face and Gaussian that instead, the faces are good enough.
  2. Gotta keep training myself, never stop sketching. :P I know people who do 1 painting a day. Seeing as I'm still studying anatomy I try to do at least 10 full body poses and a lot of study on specific parts. After a while you realize that Art will take a lot of discipline, -I really need to get some soon. Grats on 20 ^_^
  3. nice, simple. Remember to keep focus on the eyes - thus try to get rid of every other detail.
  4. Well, Then I can't change your mind, but good luck to you. It would have been great to see you work on it, as you love to do art so much. When you do decide to do some anatomy, PM me and I'd love to see how you get along. 'Watches thread' I have 200 hand poses to go finish for today. >_>
  5. Dark got there just before me, yea transparent would be great :D
  6. Then simply, you will never grow. :P
  7. cos thats the impression your giving. while it may not be perfect i know more than the asics, so therfore i shall miss that part about 10 hours (ha, as if!) and move on, which i have done. anyway art is about how YOU see the world, my art reflects my views, as it should, and my views are reflected in my style. therefore my anaotmy is reflected in my work. PJB21 Picasso, Beckmann, anyone. They all had a solid understanding in anatomy. I'm not here to flame or embarrass you. I'm just trying to give you a push in the right direction.
  8. get that down to 400 by about 150 and lets see it in action (8
  9. Although you may want to give excuses and escape it there's no harm in learning anatomy. Give yourself a serious weekend to spend at least 10 hours SOLELY studying anatomy until you have learnt at least the basics, only THEN start exaggerating things if thats how you feel like you wanna go. Proportions will never be right without anatomy. No matter how hard you try with the shading and stuff, it won't look good without proper basic anatomy first. Go learn some or I'll start redlining D:
  10. The whole head anatomy is way off for the goblin (seeing as it is based on a humanoid one). Try use references.
  11. what do you mean generated?
  12. ooo I found you :D I'll share my bit of Cc Guy on right: 1.The 'right arm' is looking like a straight rod, the shading you did on the hand is also making it look inflated, however the hand on your first attempt was perfect 2. You would need another lighsource for any colour or light on his front anyway 3. The guy needs a bit more forehead, less area between eye and mouth and a chin. 4.The shoulder anatomy is awesome, however bring up the right one a 'little' bit, or bring the head down a bit? 5. The stuff on the shoulder needs a bit of gravity on it, - the second 'scale' would 'fall' a bit. 6. Chest muscles shouldn't show through chainmail. 7. The hightlights on the shoulderpads should be your current midtones and the rest be shadow (due to current lighting conditions) Nothing to the Vyre for now (8 Tip: Don't add weathering till the end.
  13. what kind of stance would you like him in? And could you post 3 views of your character like that? Prefably from the equipment screen
  14. Silhouette? I'll try.
  15. Accidental post again >_>
  16. Totally random and incoherent. but nice mood. 3/10

    Quite easily :P
  18. Quick pieces (:
  19. Tried to 'engrave' those symbols But its a load of effort, I'll try *gasp* filter *gasp* that in later. So I just cleaned them up. I'm gonna take a Time out a while. I'll try work on it again tomorrow :D
  20. Make it in my bazaar thread, I'll look at and consider.
  21. Formatted a CPU? You mean Hard Drive :P I haven't been on Artpad in like 4 years, looking in my old favourites, I think I still got some good ones saved :D. TBH no one needs CS, least of all for making sigs or even painting digitally, you will never be really needing those 'extra features' anyway. sooo... IMO 7 is the best build tbh. lol, most of my work is in traditional medium, and lately has just been books upon books filled with anatomy studies. But I do enjoy painting (:
  22. lol, got something and used like 500000 filters on it? :P
  23. Err, sticking to Photoshop Elements 2. If I need some effects I sometimes port over to CS2 or Painter 9.5 But I prefer Elements 2 as it takes like no CPU at all, so I can watch movies at the same time ^_^ Thanks for the appreciation, was just browsing your thread earlier :D
  24. updated :D
