    That is a great technique, but the problem with that at arma is that the next item on the losing list is the plate, so that really does not help much in this case. You should use zam or sara bracers if you were not already using them, they only have 1 less range attack than barrows, but they have higher magic defense. Use a stole over a fury, the drop in range bonus does not mean much, the loss of defensive bonuses is a bit bad, but 5 more pray and the ability to keep one more expensive item outweighs that. Even with that...you will still be risking the skirt if you have a decent setup, but honestly with graves that should not be so much of a concern...I'm pretty sure that a rune kite would protect over arma(it alchs for like 15k I think :wall: )...you could always go with a zam book, and I destroyed my falador shield within minutes of getting it, so I wouldn't know anything about that.
  3. Yup, you get 3.99 compared to 4 per hit for normal. That is not much but if we get 10,000 million xp you will have wasted 100k xp. That times 3 is 300k xp compared to controlled. Not to mention that if you get 71/70/70 and then 71/71/70 and so on to 71/71/71 you will level faster then controlled from 70/70/70 to 71/71/71 because you get the boosts of 71 attack and str before you get 71/71/71. However, you can't train just strength with whip, so you would lose the advantage of that. D Scim isn't as good as the whip, and if you use a sara sword you lose the advantage of whatever shield you are using. I'm sure it's been proven that the whip is actually fastest overall. It has not been. A whip is by FAR the best possible investment that you could make in this game, in my opinion. Controlled training is a bit slower, but if you don't want to use a scimitar and a sara sword is out of your reach, go for it.
  4. I'd suggest that you wait until level 67 to 70 before starting to run around monkey land.
  5. You might want to add some information about evil trees and training with their magic. Cutting willows during the auto banking time(sadly teaks are not an option, and even if eucs are, thatd be a waste of the magic) is extremely fast experience if you find two or more secluded willows that are far enough away from any bank to go unnoticed.
  6. arent you allowed to trade noted pouches? Yes. If you are going to use them as junk, taking out a minute at most to swap for shards will increase your gains(not for all pouches, you should check first).

[hide=Evil Pyramid]Ta da![/hide] I have 92 summoning, and the VAST majority of the charms that I have gotten were obtained through killing fiends, and no the proselyte+monk robes setup is not something that I randomly decided on. Thatw as chosen after days testing out various setups to break up the monotony. The fact that you have obtained all of your information through the wiki and not personal experience seriously decreases your credibility. Go test it out for yourself, I already have. Armadyl drops your accuracy by about 12 points if I remmeber correctly(just the top and the bottom), and the 10 or so extra magic defense that you get over karils is completely unnecessary. In essence, you are just slowing yourself down to look pretty, but some people do not mind making that sacrifice. That is your decision to make, I suppose.
  8. The rogue is just south of the archery shop in varrock afetr you save him from his cell(look at the Summer's End guide), and yes he accepts noted amulets.

  12. GET IT YOU WILL HAVE HIGH SUMMONING LEVEL. Sorry for caps but if you ask most anyone they will say bursting rock lobs > stun. If you go the fast way you will thank me when you don't waste your time endlessing hunting waterfiends. PS: Whip is supposed to be better then a GS at bosses. SGS is the GS with a use. Try convincing that to a rsof team. I personally don't believe it at all, but I still need t test that. Don't bother with the "just go with friends" argument, because the VAST majority of people in this game don't have a group of friends that are ready to drop what they are doing and go monster hunting wheneve rit is convenient for them, and if you are looking to make upwards of 20m at bandos or dks you're going to be there for a while. A whip is fine at DKs of course. I do agree with you bursting/barraging, though.
  13. I seriosuly doubt that the 50 or so xp from gold(with gauntlets) could compete with over 300 xp per addy plate(or over 600 with a clay hammer).
  14. Godswords are extremely useful. Claws are no where near as accurate on bosses from my personal experience, and i don't care to bother with PVP much. Keep the sword and use it at either dks or bandos to get 20m or so so that you can get your level with money left over.

    Yeah...I used reds from 63, they really were not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. I'm not sure if the one spawn emthod works as well with 4 traps, though, and that's the only way that I can ever hunt these days :wall:

  17. I would go for smithing with addy or rune plates. That wa you could also supply like 5 generations of f2pers with melee armour.
  18. They have 2 different attack animations. One hits with magic and one with range. If your saying one of the attacks is range based range and the other is magic based range just think about it. Range attacks are from a distance, magic attacks are from a distance. If someone far-casts there not using a magic based range attack, there simply using magic. Waterfiends primary use a range attack, but occasionally use a magic attack. Protect spells still work against range or magic based other attacks. For example protect from melee protects you from bloodveds even though they are magic based melee'ers. Actually, it is magic based range attacks, because there are monsters that use magic based melee attacks to (not waterfiends). Some monsters will only fight within melee distance, but protecting from melee will do nothing, while protecting from mage will save you from being hit, so calling waterfiend's magic attacks magic based ranged attacks is actually right. So just to clear that up, waterfiends use range based range attacks, and magic base range attacks (the mage attacks work from a distance, unlike some monster's mage attacks.) [/hide] I think you mean the "Arrow" ranged attack is calculated by your MAGIC defense. The magic attack is any regular magic attack. The bolded part is completely wrong, and I have no idea where so many people got this information from. The RANGED attack does damage based on your RANGED defense. The MAGIC attack does damage based on your MAGIC defense. Both attacks can reach about 5 squares. There is nothing complicated about it whatsoever and it works exactly as you should expect it to work through the use o common sense. [/hide] I find that to be either a really uninformed post, or a lie. If you used proselyte hauberk and monk robe bottom, you'd be hit pretty much CONSTANTLY by Waterfiends. I don't see how I could possibly be uninformed about what I personally do...and no it is not a lie, get 88 summoning and try it for yourself. Void has a percentage boost, and your performance is enhanced(that sounds like a commercial...) equally regardless of the weapon that you are using. A sara sword or spear will still outperform a godsword. if you don't believe that, time kills for yourself.

About how many nature runes can you craft on average using graahks? About how much xp do you get per ZMI run at around my level? Any help would be appreciated.
  20. No. A ss or spear is better regardless of your levels, and the vast majority of the information in this topic is completely irrelevant, because the OP answered his/her own question in the op. What is all this rubbish about a mage based range attack? They have a range attack, and a mage attack, There is nohing special about either. The range attack looks like an arrow, and the mage attack looks like a water strike...I don't see how that could be simplified. I personally like using proselyte top+monk bottom(max prayer bonus), and just leave range prayer and piety on and tear through them. Just assumed that prayer would drain extremely quickly with void(no trimmed cape for me).

  22. Are you sure that lumberjack works with these? I remember taking it on and off and not noticing a difference...but then again I only tried it once.
  23. A major pain. When your doing 14 minute trips with 20 second banking runs, you don't want to have to waste 2 minutes getting to pools every time. If your trips long as you claim them to last you could do 3 to 4 trips with one dip(it lasts 60 minutes).
  24. Or you could dip into the bandos pool before the trip and not have to worry about any of that mess...The prayer boost is nice as well, and the hp boost would pobably absorb any thing that the saradomin monsters try to throw at you when you drop in.
  25. I'm fairly certain that it is completely impossible for you to get 2 kills with your stats unless you get extremely lucky. You MIGHT get one kill, but losing the 25% defense from piety makes a HUGE difference, and also you will be killing more slowly. You could definately get at least one kill if you got 70 prayer, though, and look at toast's guide in AOW.
