Thanks for the C/C! I actually took that into consideration and gave it a shot. Now I know the clouds are messed but I can't be bothered to let it render the image again for another 7 minutes with better clouds, I'll do it later! :P Also got better textures, detail and blending now. :thumbsup: -EDIT- Forgot to actually say, re-read my first post and I've added v2, I touched it up in Photoshop and v1 as well which is also re-uploaded.

Thanks for the input and no I haven't seen Nadril's landscapes yet, by the way, I got a v2 of this coming up later.

I'm amazed at this program, simply, amazed! This program is so powerful and yet it's so easy to use! I just got it and this is my first piece I made with a little help of a tutorial. [EDIT] Added v2 below at the bottom. Touched it up a bit in Photoshop, including v1 which I re-uploaded below. [EDIT] Another new piece, hehehe!

My result was more like... Compared to yours.. Was just in my opinion, looked more vibrant.

Well duh obviously he'd remove it. Plus, how can it 'ruin' the affect? It's not like he's going to add that onto the fake is it? :roll:

It's kinda hard to read, try lowering the opacity on the text layer behind it or positioning it more closely, also, try this: New Layer -> Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur -> 2px -> Set Layer to 'Lighten' -> Opacity to 50% New Layer -> Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen -> Set Layer to 'Lighten' -> Opacity to 70% Kinda makes it look more vibrant (imo), try a more simple font too by the way.

For the tomato sig, what's that random pink splotch just a bit above the text? Also, if the smudge around the tomato's outter layer is radiating like you said, you should try blending that more with the tomato render. For the sig you just posted above, text-wise. I'd recommend using simple fonts, then duplcating the text layer, place them a bit out of line of the original text layer then lower the opacity and maybe even change the blending option to overlay, screen or lighten (varys on the sig, personal preference).

Just get the Eraser tool and just get rid of it all yourself. Using large soft brushes for large areas that need to be erased and smaller sized soft brushes erasing for smaller parts and then carefully zoom in and erase carefully the last bits that hang around the edges of the render to be careful you don't go onto it yourself, then use the smudge tool and smudge slightly the edge of the render so it blends but not too much that it ruins it. Works like a charm.

The only 'Metroid Style' about it, is the text. :P Other than the fact I've done to it was erm...lighting, sharpening, blur, brushing, erasing, blending, not sure what else. : That sig was mainly to get lighting a good go anywho. Aww, nice. :thumbsup:

Ctrl+A = Select All Ctrl+C = Copy Ctrl+V = Paste Ctrl+D = De-Select All Ctrl+E = Merge Selected Layer with Below Ctrl+U = Hue/Saturation/Colour Control About all the main ones I can think of for a Photoshop beginner to know.

Kinda funny, I don't like it in a sig view either, but. I only like it because it's my first attempt at photo manipulation and I thought the outcome was quite good. :XD:

Unplug the Linksys Router, grab all the cables. Shove them in your bed covers or something and get your brother or make your parents tell your brother to tell you how to fix it. Untill then, none of them get the internet. :D Or use the cable to tie him up and the router as a flail/mace with the power lead? Awesome! Great lighting, creativity and idea behind all this. The only thing I don't like is the amount of black trailing the text, it looks good but a bit too much in my opinion. -EDIT- Much better on V2! Without the vector and the black blends in better. I'm loving the lighting! Under the upper part of the chest, along the arms, on the gun, everywhere! Great piece Metroid! :thumbsup:

Oh, that would be because you joined Tip.It Forums on May 2006, I joined them July 2004. I haven't been here for a few months since I quit RS but I come here ocassionaly to The Gallery section. No, I haven't heard of you, and by the looks of things I glad I haven't. Also, I would love for you to explain to me how you define me as 'self-centered'. What the...how should he know? He didn't know that existed? So why would he know why he made the "exact same pixel hammer" as that stupid website? I also have no reason to believe Metroid would even want to rip that, honestly. Would you like to tell me some reasons WHY he would do it? Even with his current status of very helpful posts of C/C and support through out The Gallery forum area. Oh please, get real. Be original yourself, your avatar is very un-original gangsta wannabe. If you want to say he's unoriginal, type it up in a more constructive manner than an insultive one.
