  1. I heard about this one super hardcore Vietnamese dude who played some game (mayhaps not Runescape) for 3 days. All he did was play, drink energy drinks, and pee in a bottle :XD: He stopped playing cause he died of heart faliure. This could just be a story, but I think some pretty wierd things can happen to the human body when it stays awake to long, just sitting at a computer.
  2. Yeah, totally. Making pottery is a very fast way to level up at the lower levels of crafting. Much faster than cowhide. You could probably make it to level 20 crafting in half a day (say 2-3 hours, maybe less). Thats how I started. Mine a bunch of clay from the SW Varrock mine and bank. Then get it wet by the other bank. I used 4 buckets when wetting my clay, it goes much faster cause all the buckets fill at once. Then just make pottery and fire it in the Barbarian village. The pottery stuff is just to the south when you enter the Barb village from Varrock. When you get level 20, you can craft silver and such. BTW: this is just my simple f2p experience talking.
  3. I was just wondering what some good places to mine gold are, and what to do while waiting for it to respawn. Like how do people get large ammounts of gold? :-k
  4. Going back to the earlier topic about two people getting ore from one rock at the same time, that happened to me last night in the mining guild, both of us showed the ending animation at exactly the same time. I asked if the other guy had gotten the ore, and he said he had--so had I. Why can't that work all the time?
  5. It seems to me that Zezima gets most (all?) of his/her/its xp points from cooking. Does anybody know, what zezima cooks or atleast have a good idea?
  6. Ok, i would put this in rants, but i'm not quite that mad about it, so here it is: How do higher level smithers deal with friends who ask for armor as a favor? I mean, I like my friends and all, but it is starting to tick me off that they ask me to make them some armor, for free of course. Do they really think that its free and easy for us? Like making full mith is just like chopping down a tree? How can i deal with friends who beg for armor?
  7. First of all, I do not smelt steel or anything else, I buy steel rod/stock or use scrap. As far as my equipment goes, I have a small forge, which burns coal, not charcoal mind you, but coal. If I pump enough air into it, it gets up to the temperature of molten glass--more than enough to heat up steel. My grandpa bought it for me :D for only $40. As for an anvil to work on, I now have a small 75 lb anvil which is seated on a stump. But I used to use a piece of rail road track, which worked just fine!!
  8. So, I was just wondering if anyone else on this forum is does some blacksmithing in real life. I do, about the best I've made is a steel short sword, so I figure I'm level 34 smithing in real life. :D Anyone else do some metal work in real life?
  9. Oh yeah, I would definately agree that ping affects your efficiency in mining. But I actually find the human side of things to be more interesting. So I was wondering what people do as far as a mouse (or finger steroids, or dangerously caffinated beverages...). Oh, and btw, I think I noticed that "both people get the prize" thing when watching a friend shear sheep. Like both people got the wool. Not very high stakes, i realaze, but it possibly carries over into other things. :-k
  10. I realize that this is prolly a dumb question, but, after 140 uses, the ring of forging just goes away right? I mean, it doesn't just turn back into a ruby ring? I could answer this myself if i weren't such a tightwad and therefore f2p.
  11. sooo..if i want to smith the ores also, i'm just as well off putting them in the bank myself?
  12. Ok, I hope this topic isn't redundant, but I did just wade through half an hour of irrelvant posts. I know that pay can be a touchy subject both in real life and in runescape, but I was just wondering how much is fair to pay a runner for iron ore. I would almost certainly be using the varrock east mine/bank pair and paying to have a load of 26 ores turned into notes. I will just pay in gp and was wondering what people think is a fair or competitve price, thanks for your help.
