In how many hits (average) should I be able to kill a monster before I train on it? My defence is 44, with full rune armor. Att: 42 Str: 45 Weapon: Rune B Axe I would preffer not to have to use any food. Thanks Btw, the title is a spoof on a Bob Dylan song :thumbsup:

Wow, i just finished the quest, like 15 minutes ago, and boy was that a rush!! That was so much fun! At least for a combat noob like me :D Here's what i wore: -Addy legs -Addy plate -Addy full helm -Anti-Dragon shield -Amulet of defence -Fighting boots and leather gloves (oh ya, thats what saved me) Here's what i had in inv: -1 Law rune -3 Air runes -1 earth rune (didnt use my lumby teleport at all) -18 Lobbies -7 Swordies (didnt use these either) Levels: -41 Attack -41 Strength -41 Defence -41 Hit Points = 50 Combat -25 prayer, filled up (didnt use) And the crowning glory!!!!!: -I was wielding my dearly beloved, long time friend, my rune pick axe!!! And let me tell you, i was mining that dragon's brains out!! I will try to get a pic of me killing him with my rune pik in my sig soon. Man that was fun :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

So, is there any way to make a compromise between profit and fast xp. Like : What is the fastest way to level up smithing while still breaking even?

Personally, I like making clay stuff for a quick, low-level way to advance in crafting. Could be because i was already a miner when i started crafting, hmm.....

Read "Catch-22", then you could come back and powermine for days after the total and unforgiving randomness of that book. Funny book though...

I only have 40k in cash, 700k in ores. Last night i mined and dropped 200k worth of iron in 2 and a half hours. :thumbsup: Sometimes I'm so confused about why i power mine. :lol:

I am f2p, soon to switch to p2p, and I would like to get some experience at merching things. I was wondering if it is possible to merch anything with 50k as the initial capital (that's all I want to risk at this point). I am a total noob at merching, so please give me suggestions for little things, that my small noob brain will be able to comprehend. :wink:

Ya, I would just get the bronze pik from Lumbridge, get iron, then sell it until i could get my rune pik. Then mine some more. It would just be all mining, that wouldn't be that different from what I do now any way. I mine a lot. At least 90% of my total time on runescape thus far has been mining. :thumbsup:

So is there anyway to make sure you fail a spell every time?

So...let me see if I've got this straight: -I wear armor that's bad for maging, and then the spell will never work -Since the spell doesn't work, it won't use up any runes (?) -Even though the spell doesn't work, I will still get some xp for the spell Please tell me if this is right. Some how I think I've still got something mixed up. Could someone also explain "curse training" and the best curses to use for f2p. I am currently f2p, but planning a shift to p2p in the next 2-3 months. I would like to get some skills up that I have not worked on very much before I start paying. One of these is Magic, which is currently 29. I have runecrafting of 24 (maybe 25, not quite sure, too lazy to check). I am a good enough miner (69, 70 after tonight) and have a rune pik, of course, so I can mine my own ess. I also have a mind and air tiara, and could make some other types. So the questions are: 1) What spell/spells should I use to level up my magic quickly and inexpensively? 2) What should I be killing with these spell and where (remeber, f2p)? 3) What staff should I wield (I currently have a staff of fire)? thanks

The sword isn't that good as a weapon, isn't hard to get, isn't tradable, but is has one good aspect--It's the coolest looking weapon in the game!!! (as far as I'm concerned) :XD: But no, it is definately not very practical.

I was just wondering what the single most expensive item is in Runescape right now, and maybe some of the runners up for the prize of most expensive.

Here's what I do to get onto a crowded world(1,2,3...): 1) On the World Select page, press refresh in the browser's navigation bar, until it shows the target world as having a teeny-weeny bit of space left in it. 2) Once you can click on the world you desire to enter, try to login in. In all likelyhood, the first time you enter your username and password, it will say that the world is full, and to try a different one. 3) Ingnore that silly little message, and just press log-in again, you will not need to enter your username and pass again, just keep pressing log-in until it lets you in. I hope this little technique works and that I don't end up looking like a fool. #-o

Dude, that was prolly the most hilarious thing i've seen in the past month...no the past 2 months. Especially when he started getting really mad about not being able to say it, and he looked like he was about to break apart :XD: Besides that, I didn't really like the rest of the movie all THAT much, but it was good. Its funny, i knew exactly what movie this was going to be about as soon as i read the title. :D

Well, as far as the time it takes me to drop my ores, it doesn't really take any. I mine on a low-population world (600-800 people) and I mine three rocks, boom-boom-boom, then i turn to the first of the three rocks and have plenty of time (in powermining, "plenty of time" means about half a second extra) to drop my 3 ores before the first rock respawns. This way i loose practically no time and don't have to fool around with trading off the ores or dropping a full load. :thumbsup: However, the added efficiency is just making it an even more insane prospect. I think maybe the solution is to alternate powermining one night and bank mining something else fun the next, like coal, mith, gold... But how long I can go on my powermining nights is something i don't know. Maybe music is the solution(?) My bonus question still stands, how much xp per hour can i reasonably expect to get?

Ok, so, i've done some powermining in the past. But receently, I've started doing it pretty hardcore--you know, the kind where you never even stop to trade or drop a full load of ores. Anyway, I was just wondering what people do to keep from going crazy, and it makes my eyes hurt too (ohhh, pity party for me, waaaah :cry: ). As a bonus, I was just wondering what other powerminers have found the practical limits of xp per hour on busy and not busy worlds to be. Thanks
