Of course it could also be a little more cryptic. To be black or white could be morality. In the gwd there are four sides. two good and two evil The god wars dungeon is a void battle. The god wars have been over for such a long time. that the dungeon battles winner is not important. But the jungle, desert and ice are all hunter areas. plus they aren't the most widely used hunter areas. I could see jagex updating hunter in these areas. Beneath us? Animals are indeed beneath us when we trap them showing our mastery. Or perhaps it is underground. It devours its bait. Its insatiable hunger is the only way to lure it. but defeating it? Defeating it could merely mean besting it at a game. Perhaps this hunter monster attacks you? I don't know. I'm going out on strings. My second guess would be a new diversion and distraction. As I said in my post, "From beneath you it devours" is a Buffy reference for Hellmouth in my eyes, maybe a new boss monster.

Vesta spear though, lower could do it with stat hammer tbh, lower his def conciderably just use hammer on corp or something after that to use it up

(Thus being able to appear in other quests again) [/hide] Yes but we do not actually kill him if he resurrects himself because he's in future quests but I guess it's the way you interpret the information, and besides I helped Lucien and the Armadyl guardians hate me for it :(

I disagree. I don't have 92 prayer, and while I do have 99 attack and other relatively high combat levels, I don't feel it's as difficult as everyone believes. The battle is practically the entirety of the quest and as such it should be set appropriately. The rewards don't have any extreme game-changing effects that compel you to complete it for fear of lessened in comparison to other players (unlike the Temple at Senntisten). Perhaps this is rebound "quest-capers" were looking for; their cape is more intensely coveted. But it is your opinion, I just thought I'd share mine. In addition, I might add that I thought the Decaying Avatar was more challenging than Nomad. Really Laura? you must have stolen Nomads walking stick and showed him for the frail old man he is :-P

Yes he is indeed, I'm sure a quick flash of a Statius's Warhammer to Nomads skull would definitely make him weak at the knees!

Yes it's not in depth or a long quest, but it is the fight that makes the quest get its status no doubt, and for that it is grandmaster here's what the grandmaster definition is in runescape: Which that is what this quest is isn't it? there are only TWO grandmaster quests in the game now, so you can't just look at the first and say well this should be too, because as of yet we don't really know the requirements of a grandmaster, but really this fight is a challenge for every player in the game, you can't protect prayers like most fights it actually takes some thought. I agree it wasn't a long quest, but it definately fits what Jagex categorise as a grandmaster ;)

How exactly were you making overloads with 93 herblore? I suppose you were stewing? Yes that's the only way :P

That was my guess but he could also be a follower of Zamorak, Zaros, or even a different Mahjarrat. I do agree that if we ever have to fight Lucien it will be extremely difficult. I would guess that there is going to be a large battle that includes Zaros, Zamorak, Lucien and possibly Guthix. I hope its those four fighting each other and they all get tired out, the last one standing is injured from battle, and practically dead, we just walk over a tap them on the shoulder and they die, quest complete!

A boss fight alone shouldn't make a quest a GM quest and you know that. It's just a poor decision they made IMO. I think they may have already killed the specialness of GM quests, or at least they have in my eyes. WGS fights were pretty simple though you had a massive advantage with the Stone of Jas and the Balance Elemental was a pushover, yes WGS was the first GM so obviously as a developer you have to try and live up to the first and make the sequel go that step further, in terms of the puzzles they match WGS, in terms of the fights they exceed WGS but you have to realise that that quest line was building up for quite a while but Nomads quest this is the only real one so far, but yes he's most likely a Mahjarrat because of his power I do think a possible lack of diversity with the areas but I do feel around the 2 hour mark is a nice place to end a quest :razz:

Well I'd say because of the final fight you'd have to class it as a grandmaster because that's what it is.. It's relatively short yes, and it's not that diverse (you spend alot of time in one area) but we do have insight into Nomad and his ambitions and we can only guess what he will do next. If Nomad was this tough to wound him how tough will Lucien be to stop? I do think this is only a taste of what is to come last year, first update in 2009 was In pyre need, so there's a huge contrast so far in terms of updates :P

There are a few videos that show the fight if you want to know what to expect at Nomad ;) this one is sped up two flaws with the video 1) robbie williams song 2) is it doesnt show the inv. He uses a zammy spear that might be a good option though ;) if you're super desperate maybe Statius hammer could help :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cHz5-w22qM another link just toy with set ups etc see what works for you, but defence lowering gear such as stat hammer or bgs could make a world of difference for people with the lack of yak etc I apologise in advance, link 1 is robbie williams, link 2 is S-club-7, so either way deal with it and I see Runescapew44 in one of those videos, can't stay away from the cameras can we Mr Smither?
