  1. 640 I remember you too. I used to post alot in the counting games.
  2. Why would you want it closed? I like the fact that this could go on for aslong as Tip.it lives. -1011
  3. Too much of the green stuff. 1
  4. 640 That's a big lead. :o
  5. The decline of P2P subscribers and the decline of people playing Runescape is not just Jagex' fault it's also because PC is losing to consoles. More people are playing on the consoles than he PC nowadays. Consoles have been out for a few years and there are alot of games that are much more popular on the consoles than PC. Then there are the games. Neither WoW nor Runescape can compete with Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which is an rpg. In conclusion, I think the PC vs Console has had a bigger impact on Runescape than Jagex' bad updates. If they shut down F2P altogether, they will lose their title as the #1 F2P game and they will also hurry up the process of killing Runescape which I think is inevitable.
  6. I know right! They just keep getting more and more common! If you had half a brain-cycle you'd realise I meant sightings of party hats instead of you being a sarcastic drongo. 2006: You would be lucky to see one person wearing one, when they did it was like Zezima all over again. 2011: You see at least 3 daily and its a case of "yep, w/e" Where has this observation led you? Does this revelation make partyhats less of a status symbol? Does it somehow reduce their sentimental value? I think it does. Atleast for me. With the ease of getting alot of money in P2P I think money has become irrelevant and partyhats too common and easily obtained.
  7. why cause he was first? so many people have more experience than zezima and yes skills were harder back in the day but I bet alot of these players would have at least gave zezima some competition if they were as serious about classic. But most people were too young/didnt hear about classic back in the day lol I think he is right and the reason being that Zezima was #1 not only for a very long time but also, in my opinion, at RuneScape's prime time. From the release of RS2 until 10 December 2007. You may not agree that this was the prime time but from the top of my head this is what I believe was the prime time.
  8. I think that Jagex is going the wrong direction in limiting F2P even more. RuneScape didn't and does not attract people by it's graphics and gameplay. It grew so big because it was free and playable on almost any computer in a webbrowser. Now you can argue that there are many more reasons but those are the main ones. While other game companies are going the other direction, making more content free, Jagex is going the opposite. WoW (recently?) became free until level 20 and even more recent DC Universe Online became free. Also, not MMORPGs, Portal and Team Fortress 2 were free for a limited time on Steam. Game companies make their games free to play for everyone when their game isn't selling good and they are successfull. If ad revenue isn't enough to run the game profitably there are other ways to earn money than aquiring more and more subscriptions. Microtransactions is one example.
