  1. good luck potential RCer. :) yeah, air is the best and the only choice. when you get level 44 RC, you can make 5 airs per ess. which means you can buy ess and sell airs at a low price, still profitable. =]
  2. yup, for your level, moss giants. however, if your range is better than your melee, and you know safe-spot tactics, lessers are better in terms of drops. to me, the best f2p drops are from Ankous (Stronghold Lv4) - addy arrows, noted mith ore, I really like these.
  3. Thanks for your advice but I am not planning to join P2P ATM. (maybe not just ATM) Reason 1: It is too hard to transfer the payment from my country. Reason 2: I doubt if I will have enough time to play and learn a much bigger world. \
  4. OMG, that tip is so fuuny that I LMAO... :D
  5. W.16. air running for 10 cycles, just for fun. Thanks to [RSN hidden], the only RCer I traded with who opens "2.2K + ess". Well, it is indeed a safe and efficient way of getting start-up GP. Alas, I'm not going to create another pure or any kind of new RS character anyway. Got a lot to do on this current main. :D
  6. LUCKY DAY! a fellow (afk?) trainee died in front of spiders. I got his rune scimmy, full helm, red gloves and some law runes. LOL. could be my most valuable loot so far. woot!
  7. drunken dwarf and mys.box these days. (melee training)
  8. This may look like a "Rate This!" thread to you, but it is actually not. I had a "Rate This!" post months ago when I achieved 1000 skill total, but this one is just another common happy day in RS - like every morning that you feel: well, that was a nice toast, or, that was a great coffee! LOL Yeah, I highlighted a few things that make me so happy now, as tiny as "WOW! I made my compass straight north again" and "hey, that was a fast trip to triple 80 in melee"... Laugh at me as you wish, but a game is just a game, thus, I'm happy to see these little things that lights my day. As a matter of fact, I do not have that many hours on RS as before. But as a 7-month-old RS newbie, I'm happy to see what I made to my little pixel character with honest and relaxable playing. I'm happy to see that I reached my threshold of Prayer, one of the hardest skill to upgrade in F2P. I'm happy to see all the updates (haven't met those new monsters yet since I'm power-training my melee in Stronghold). It's just another happy day in RS. Good luck to all!
  9. same speed i believe. sometimes i give up standing in safe spots while i range something that can't compete my def level - e.g. 70 def vs moss giants. :)
  10. nice guide. just 1 question, does w.16. always have air running buyers?
  11. safe spot ranging lessers, lol. my way.
  12. ankous are my next test out range spot. i am attracted by their addy arrow drop, thinking that i might be having a good time here with sufficient addy arrows, high 80+ range and 80 def. meanwhile, ankous most valuable drops are addy arrows, noted mith ores and runes. so my inventory will be kinda easy to manage. looking forward to it.
  13. fly fishing salmons and trouts
  14. i actually cooked a lot of anchovy pizza just for training food. 12 or 14 a bite is not as valuable as having 18 hp per inventory slot with me. lol
  15. my music is always on "0"
  16. I saw Blurite in the smelting panel. Can I smith blurite into something besides completing the quest? (F2P)
  17. Yes. that is the best melee armor possible on F2P. For non-safespot range training (although I feel this is an unnecessary and unacceptable way of training), I'd use Full Green D'Hide (instead of Rune Chain) with Rune Full Helm.
  18. invoke: use the scepter to teleport devine: show the number of charges left
  19. IMO, there's no definite best way of money making, but the definite worst way is begging. LOL Well, here are some ways to get money without merchanting (F2P): No profit-making skills, low combat: Kill cows and sell cowhides at 100 ea or higher price in bulk; No profit-making skills, so so combat: Kill hill giants for big bones (not sure about the current price) and nats; No profit-making skills, good combat: Kill lesser demons in Karamja Volcano, best if you have hi-alch skills. Woodcutting: normal logs (1-40), willow logs (40-80), yew logs (80+), sell them in bulk to players. Mining: rune ess, iron, coal Fishing: lobs (considering the travel, this is the last option) AFTERALL, the most intelligent and efficient way of money making would be merchanting. Takes a lot of time to observe and practice.
  20. IMO MUST: def = 1 range = as high as possible mage = slightly lower than range (more HP, able to bind when you PK and curse when you train, teleport, and hi-alch to make money) OPTIONAL: attack 60 and str 80 (still lower than your range, but r2h to KO others. if you can't make that then 0 at all) prayer (44 for Eagle Eye or 0 at all) EQUIPMENT: Blue Wiz Hat Blue Wiz Top Amulet of Power Green D'Hide Chaps (or Leather Chaps) Green D'Hide Vambs Maple Short Bow Addy Arrows Teleport Runes (or Scepter) Rune 2H (optional) Bind Runes (optional) Fill the rest of your inventory with swordies...
  21. specify your mining level, and whether you want power-training or profit-making.
  22. keep it forever. it is your pride of RS life.
  23. this guide is time worthy if you bring enough superheat runes with you. you mine coal and mith together on crandor then superheat them into bars. but, with low mining level like below 70, it's a pain in the ***.
  24. May I apply to move this thread into the nice Archive of Wisdom board? P.S. My ranger (which is my main too, LOL) has Level 88 Range now. Mostly trained at Moss Giants in Varrock Sewers for B-bones and Nature Runes. I go to Lesser Demons in Karamja every now and then, mainly for GPs to buy more arrows. :)
