I met this problem a few months ago, but ignored it and stopped playing RS for awhile. But now I want to play again... First of all this is my comp: Intel Celeron 3 at 533 Mhz 320 MB RAM (I was sitting at 64 before I bought some more :roll: ) 10 GB Hard Drive Windows 98SE Internet: Dial-Up 56k ... :cry: ... It's pretty painful using this computer to do much of anything really. Anyways, after RSs game engine was updated enabling all that lower RAM usage, sounds for low and high quality, and all that jazz. I was expecting for this update to finally let me play my game just a little smoother... But it was not to be... My game performance was CRIPPLED, even from before. I ran full scans with Spybot, Ad-Aware, and PestPatrol free version and removed anything that I found. I ran a scan with avast! and AntiVir and removed any viruses they found. I did the same with ewido and a-squared, and removed any trojans and worms that I had. I freed up my hard drive and did everything else I could think of that could make my computer run RS faster, but to no avail. Firefox with optimal settings, the RS official client...nothing... I now have to ask you all for your help... Anyone got ideas?

Of course, there's always reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling Windows and all that. Also try and get Windows Defender(Beta 2), a program called KL-Detector, Bazooka Scanner, and if you have the money, Spyware Doctor 3.8 or SpySweeper. If this program is as mighty to outlast all that...we've got us a problem on the net...

Would Karamja Hills be better than Edgeville or not? But then again, I would need to tele or take a long trip back.

F2P 42 Ranged Maple Short Full D Hide and quite a few bronze arrows to use up. Anyone got suggestions for ways of using them up? (Don't want to sell and want to raise ranged with them) I want to also get some skull pieces and want to fight some flesh crawlers/ankous, but I'm not sure if there are any safespots. Basically, I'm asking for a place where I can kill monsters for good drops, and maybe get some skull pieces. Already considered kill Hill Giants to also raise my prayer, but the caves are almost always packed, so I have to wait between kills.

Ankous for me then. Lol killing lvl 75's with bronze arrows Is there a safespot in all the chambers with Ankous?

42 Ranged Full Gr D Hide Maple Short Have 3.8k Bronze arrows to burn up. Since all the levels have safespots behind doors (you can range and mage things from behind them...right...?) would it be easier to range catablepons or Ankous? But if anyone has any suggestions out of the stronghold, they're welcome too :)

If you want to pk soon, go for strength. If not, raise atk to like 54 A good place is in the stronghold of security, 2nd lvl on zombies or hog goblins in the edgeville sewers

I think they should make them make you look different and give a much higher (maybe even double) the prayer bonus of monk robes. Shade robes aren't easy to get as shades are random events, they don't always drop em, and they can be difficult to kill when you're caught off guard.

Lol good old sleeping bags. Guides and tips on RS were no where as comprehensive as they are today. There wasn't a knowledge base, that Wise Person in Lumbridge, and no handy checklists for quests that would cross off the parts that you already did. Pking with melee was a little trickier too. If you were meleeing the guy, no matter what even if you had full armour and tons of food weighing you down, or nothing but a single wep, you couldn't run so there was no chance of fatiguing your opponent by chasing him down and catching up to him. Everyone moved at the same pace. (Knees also never bent :roll: ) Even if you were a mage or ranger, there'd be little point in chasing your delicious money and item packed prey down because you'd have to stop and shoot at him eventually, giving him time to get away, making you have to chase him again, which of course would be pointless because you couldn't run.

And it helps all people get more secure, new and experience players. Oh ya, people who say the sceptre is useless, it's not. It's the only single slot, wieldable, tele, f2p item

Historically speaking, the oubliette (devrived from French "to forget") was a part of a dungeon (as in a real life castle dungeon, not a dangerous place for noobs in RS) where unwanted prisoners were shoved into and then forgotten. Typically, most other prisoners might have been enemy knights or higher class men, so the castle had to take care of them in turn or ransom money or to trade for one of their own captured people.

What about those catablepons?

3 q's 1. Do Ankous drop anything good and do they have any sorta weakness? (Melee, ranged, magic. Lol, it'll take me awhile to get that skull piece from these bad boys.) 2. Same for the Catablepon 3. Can you have more than one sceptre?

Minotaurs also are good for any low lvl looking to get some arrows, because they drop quite a lot of iron arrows. I get at least 50 in 2 mins. I have yet to see what'd good about the flesh crawlers though. Even though they have like no health and wimpy defense, I've only ever gotten one drop, which was an uncut ruby. What do ankous drop?

Which monsters on each level do you have to kill to get all the pieces?

I've noticed that some people can move while in egg mode when using the Easter Ring. When I say move, I mean MOVE. They can go at least 7 squares. I notice that they read a book before doing so, but I've tried it myself but I can't seem to get it right. Anyone know how to move while in egg form?

Yeah that should take awhile. The only thing is, it just takes longer in f2p, like 10 times longer. F2P is like the everlasting free trial of Runescape. Basically to Jagex, if you like it, pay us and come to members where we'll give you 10 times more stuff, don't like it, just go away, or if you like it and don't want to pay, keep going with the game, tell your friends so they might actually line our pockets with cash, we just don't want to hear your whining for more stuff. Where can F2P get trimmed and guilded dragonhide? Is it through trading with p2p only?

Chances are if this is added, it'll be members only. Another feature to sweeten the deal and to attract more players to the member worlds... :cry: But if they do add this to F2P, that might mean another few more bank slots (as opposed to the what...50 slots we get now??) which I will see it as a godsend and it'll be a whole lot easier to sort things, and especially drop things. Great Idea though and you have a 5 year f2p veteran supporting it.

I still think the scores should be completely segregated between p2p and f2p. A months advantage is more than enough to beat out a lot of player in f2p. There's at least a billion more ways to easily raise f2p stats, and they're way easier. Prayer is the biggest example of this. If you get some money from fishing some lobs or swordies in f2p, switch to member, you'll have a huge market buying food for extremely high prices. You take that money and buy ecto bones or all types like dragon, instantly, with a few bones, you'll shoot up tens and thousands of ranks. It takes me 1 hour of hilly killing and burying bones just to barely go up a bit.

This is what I've been hating about the members servers the most. You take one player in f2p and one player in p2p. Let's say that the f2p is already lvl 25 in everything and the p2p is starting fresh. The p2p player will beat out the f2p in a matter of 3 months, and even if the f2p person were to get 99 in every skill, the p2p player just needs one lvl in any skill. They could be going head to head in every single skill and then when they're at a stand off when their lvls are maxed out, the p2p just needs on lvl say in fletching and then done, the f2p is gone out of the picture. What Jagex really needs to do is make a separate highscore board for f2p and p2p, because in truth, we play entirely different games.
