  1. Well I guess I'll need to do some looking into and some researching...
  2. Aside from a mainframe or supercomputer, if you had $20,000 and were to assemble the best computer possible for a single home user with parts from today's market, what would it have? This is what I have so far, but have no clue of anything beyond these parts: Intel Core 2 Duo 1 TB Hard Drive 2GB SDRAM ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 T1 Connection And when it comes out, Windows Vista
  3. Lol, if you were on a busy server, getting a hold of a banker was sometimes a very difficult task
  4. I'm about to out-terriblize your computer: Windows 98 SE 128 RAM Genuine Intel Motherboard Pentium 2 ATI Rage (NO 3D!) Quick and cheaper solutions: Overclock your processor for like another 30 Mhz like I tried to do ( ) Replace your old RAM sticks with some 128s or 256s (Don't go overboard. If you have too much RAM, active tasks will be spread across all the RAM too thinly and it could affect your performance) Long-Lasting Solution that cost ÃÆÃâÃâüber monies: Get something like this: AMD FX-62 Processor or Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5 GB RAM 1 TB SATA2 Hard Drive ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 or nVidia current equivalent (forget name #-o ) Genuine Intel Motherboard with all your PCI sockets and what not 19" Flat Screen Monitor Windows XP Professional or wait until Vista Hook your self up with a T1 connection and you'll blazing on RS :D  Cost: Almost garrenteed more than your wallet will allow :XD: And same with me, but I'm working on something around there
  5. If you need the bronze arrows just for training, then you could kill minotaurs (lvl 12) in the stronghold of security. They drop a lot of iron arrows and you can use those even if you're lvl 1 ranged plus they're better.
  6. I would assume so, but it varies from company to company. Why don't you try contacting the companies you like?
  7. When do you people think the price of this insane piece of hardware drops to like $400? 1-2 years?
  8. Wish they gave something like magic or prayer bonus...or any bonus for that matter...but oh well, Ying Yangs are awesome :D
  9. B bones are pretty profitable and you also gain combat stats too :D Once your combat is reasonable, consider pking...it's quite the profitable profession if done properly.
  10. Which monster drops the most ores and bars and are easy to kill? I've heard about blk and white knights...
  11. bring 2 good pieces of armour (either rune chain or addy plate and then rune or addy legs [make sure you have at least one piece of rune armour on you), one good wep (preferrably a scim and not b ax), the shield, fill the rest of the slots with lobs or swordies. When you're fighting use prtct item and all of the stat boosting prayers, the fight won't last long and it'll be even shorter if you use the prayer, you might as well.
  12. if your going to do that, then wear full rune and whatever will lower your magic bonus the most, that way you'll splash (same exp) and you can cast on the same npc over and over again Doesn't full d hide lower magic more than full rune? I think it's also a bit cheaper...
  13. My advice? Get to lvl 43 prayer and then always hope that you've got plenty of prayer charged up so that you can block all their hits :D Otherwise, keep a ton of food on you and have that killer wep handy... It's hard to be prepared for a random event, because they're just that...random...
  14. this would take a lot of concentration, you might not have the ability to kill like 6 uber high lvl rock golems in row, and it'd get really boring really fast...but sounds like a plausible idea
  15. Lol, now that Jagex has given f2p a kinda decent update, they're gonna forget about uus for like a year or so... But I just hope that they us something else to chew on from time to time...I think the only reason they we got the stronghold was that housing was gonna be introduced and they were scared that they'd get abnormally more angry "give us stuff" messages
  16. Oh sorry that I offended you... #-o I use the smiley when I find that things seem ironic, strange, or funny but sorry again... Gotta get that mage up so i can get high alch and fally tele...
  17. AlienWare is way over rated, over priced, and it is NOT the best in the gaming world. For some serious gaming capacity at your budget...you could go HP like you said, but not Alienware. Casio also makes decent ones too. And if all else looks bad: Get a mac
  18. By about this much -> <- Which in my book, is a god send, but still not fast enough...oh well, maybe ill try at like 3:00 am at night
  19. Interesting idea...gotta look into the crandor map to see those mossies. As for lessers, lol, shooting at them with bronze arrows and 42 ranged doesn't seem that efficient  What monster drops laws the most? i'm thinking about teleling back each time i get a full load of drops. What's a fast way to lvl mage really quick? (sorry for mass q's #-o )
  20. Well at least you got the emote, I've gotten it twice and have the pants, gloves, boots, and top. Still need mask and those two pesky emotes.
  21. I thought CS was generally on the same lvl of requirements as Rainbow 6, and even MY comp can run that pretty smoothly. (My comp makes that comp from Dell look like god). You could also try TigerDirect.com if newegg doesn't work out, but newegg is a good place to start. And if I've learned anything from my friends who have higher end games (Doom 3, Age of Empires III, Call of Duty 2 [Call of Duty 3 coming out soon! Can't wait to hog a friend's computer 8-) ] ) and they say that if you ever invest in anything for a computer, you should spend it on the video card. Even though you might not get the nVidia 7800 or the ATI All-in-Wonder(those insane pieces of hardware would be all of your money and then some  ) , but you might still be able to get one that's ALMOST decent. Or you could do what could save you the most money of all: Wait a year. Everything will drop by at LEAST 15% and you might be able to get Vista, which of course, is coming out in January. And if you're having trouble getting your hands on some software like an Anti-Virus program, an Antispyware, word processing, or basic stuff like that, PM me and I'll tell you all about the world of FREEWARE. That's right. Get 100% legitament pieces of software from reputable companies absolutely free by getting their freeware version or personal home edition. Oh ya, here's something I found a bit funny: LOL CRT MONITORS ARE WORTH LIKE NOTHING
  22. I belive you mean ADSL ;). and my comp sucks too Intel Pentium 4@ 2.8ghz 1GB Ram Dual Hard Drives (160gb and 80gb) Windows XP/Fedora Core 56k Dialup  That comp is way better than mine I'll tell you. Unless the P4 doesn't have HT. Then you can just forget about that. And 1GB RAM is pretty much the optimal amount for anything now (maybe 1.5, too much RAM actually reduces performance) and you have 240 GB of space...that's 24 times more than I have  . And you need Professional if you haven't already got one, and I'm almost garrenteeing that your 56k is going lightning fast compared to my comp... Anyways...anymore suggestions? I set the Temporary Internet Files storage limit to 15MB, so I can accomodate just RS and a tiny bit of other stuff. And thanks mbridges :)
  23. The zombies and catablepons give decent drops too, but the catablepons maybe a little too much and there's almost no safespot from them.
  24. Not too long ago I bought a rune scim for 22k (awesome deal) and then sold it in the same bank for 35k Easiest 13k I've ever made :D Just goes to show that you gotta be ready and aggressive when merchanting. And watch out for those pesky scammers :shame:
  25. Hills and mossies...hmm...b bones...prayer lvl 44... Or maybe those zombies... Thanks for the ideas people 46 Prayer here I come!
