  1. I basically only like Magic (big fav.) and Herblore, and Combat skills of course. A few months ago I had a revelation- I realized how much of a waste of my precious time on Earth nearly every other skill was. Farming: Farming, on a computer. Read it again. You're frikin' farming, on you're computer. Need I say it? Fine, get a life... Woodcutting, Fletching, Smithing, Mining, Fishing, Cooking, Runecrafting, Theiving, Construction (eh, it's quick and let's you get a cool house, it's iffy), Crafting, Firemaking, and Agility: Repeating the same task over and over, clicking the exact same spot for hours. If you don't understand how time wasting that is, look at it from a new perspective. When you're in college, you will look back at yourself spending hundreds of useful hours doing said 'jobs' in Runescape. Doubt that convinced a ton of people, but it will eventually :-# .
  2. Nice job Manacit, a little bored  :P ? I still like the traditional simple Magic Dart-Pray only on Karil and Dharok method, half the time I don't even use a dose (still not sure on whether to pray on Verac) and I can kill pretty fast with my new 90 Magic :P . Ancients just seems too expensive and tedious for me, Magic Dart works.
  3. Yes people will definitely laugh, but it all basically depends on your ability to make a joke of it. Saying something like "I'm Scottish, don't insult my heritage!" or some funny tid bit along those lines can help break any tension between you and the person insulting you. If you can't take a joke in a skirt, then you really shouldn't be wearing it.
  4. Bzz, eh, wrong. This skill costs a frikin' 4 gp per exp point to train (and that's with oak, the other stuff costs a ton more) and since training the skill is extremely fast, my bet is that people will occasionally decide to make a big lvl leap when they make a few spare extra mil, but other than that most people are basically done. They've spent the cash already getting their lvls, so unless someone dies with a Phat next to them I doubt the're going to continue much, seeing as how most everyone is spent  . Basically, training the skill goes so fast that if someone hasn't reached their goal yet it's because they're either waaay too poor for the goal they're trying to get, or they took a nice long break from RS and just found out about POH. I mean, it took what, a few days for Cursed You to get 99 Cons?
  5. Monkey Madness was not hard at all, but it was EXTREMELY annoying. Having to evade all the Ninja Monkeys and guards, the, constant poisining and damage, and all leading up to a fight where I sat 10 feet a way, and used a mere 15 Bolt Racks in the duration of the whole fight, without taking any damage. Total waste of time :? . DT was easy when I did it (90 Combat with 78 Mage lol) but for lower lvls I'd say it's pretty hard, those bosses are pretty tough. So MM= Annoying as hell, DT= Tough, because of da bosses
  6. Wow, never knew your fav skill was Magic too Dean. Learn something new every day :P .
  7. Exactly (especially since most people that go there are already 100+), which is why I don't go with RSB teams anymore, just the SODB. I swear, every time someone died no one would care what was going on, disregarding the fatal positioning of the Kings, and dash at the pile, grab as much as they could, and teleport, then leave the honest guys (usually only me) to get totally screwed by all the other Kings teaming. Those trips were both morally draining, and painful. EDIT: One last note about your "ALWAYS PROTECT FROM MAGE" point. I generally Mage, and while on the eastern coast I can not be attacked by Prime or Supreme, in the same way that having the Rangers stay as far north as possible protects them from Supreme. Thus, in my Karils outfit, I generally prefer to Protect Range since the Rangers are tougher, poisin, and my 90 Magic and Karils protect me greatly from the mages attacks. That is pretty much how I always mage Rex  . The only other circumstance that anyone would Protect Range is when fighting Sup while Prime is down, but other then that, yes, Protect Mage :P .
  8. With you're experience and combat level I doubt that it would be smart to attempt the DK's. Oh, and I've never heard of Rex being weak to Fire Spells  . Might want to edit dat part out.
  9. True, though he could have taken him the non-wildy way (slower, but safer). If that storie's true I guess it trully shows that the Runescape community has totally gone to hell.
  10. Nice bump, now we can look at this from a different perspective. Now most people have achieved their goals (training may cost a lot, but it's fast as hell  ) namely 50 Cons for most, some 65, some 75, and some freaks going for 99, so most people just have the rare party or prayer training with their house, not much else. Basically, most people have achieved their goals in POH and the hype is now over.
  11. That child must be scarred for life. ....
  12. I used to do that, but it got incredably boring, so I decided to stop (why play if you aren't having fun?) Now I get exp mainly from the Barrows -3k exp a trip to be exact- and I recycle my Chaos Runes from there for Metal Dragons, at which I get 100k exp for every 5k Chaos trip (and the occasional Dragon Drop, like the Left Half I havn't sold yet  ). I have done some Pest Control with Affliction, not much though since it gets fairly repetitive. I may do some Enchant Arena, idk, havn't tried it yet. Anyways, variety makes Magic training much more fun, and in my case, free :P (though not quite as fast).
  13. Me too :D . I hate pkin', but in 4 Mage lvls I'll be Ice Barraging at Cw (and by then I will have collected the 10k Bloods for 2500 Ice Barrages from Barrows, currently half way there :P .)
  14. People wear bronze because they have nothing better to put on  . The only time I'd think that you could defend the use of bronze armor is if you had a Fire Cape or Rare on :P .
  15. I think you've dug yourself a deep enough grave kid, need this continue  ?
  16. See, when you blitz them they get ticked and tell you you're a noob. When you Barrage them, they just shut up  (the pots are worth it :P ).
  17. Some of these men:women ratios seema bit, off :? . Seriously, I'd bet no more than 3% of the population of Runescape were actually women, 5% if ya want to push it. I mean, I know a few girls in game (who tend to be mcuh more mature than the men :x ) but some of these numbers just don't look right.
  18. It was quite brave of you to post that you did this, since we all know this is going to turn into a repetitive flame fest for, idk, 5 pages until a mod locks it. I'd just like to say one thing: Just because someone else did it to you, that makes it right for you to do it to someone else? Hell, if we held that philosophy (sp) with murder there wouldn't be a single living human left on the planet :| .
  19. Does anyone else see this thread turning into a "hey everyone! Look what I got at the Barrows! I'm better than you!" thread? 'Cause that's what it's starting to look like to me. To answer your question, no, I have not gotten a double drop in 250 trips, but I have made a sufficient amount of money there, so I am content :) .
  20. Exactly. I have the right to be suspicious of his method of getting his vast wealth on such a pointless secondary account, but I have no right to report him based on that suspicion. Because, ya, Jagex is ban happy  .
  21. Guess you're right, this is kind of old, and there have been many, many new items that needed to be added. Hey, instead of whining like a baby, why don't you do something about it? Like, idk, list certain things in the guide that can be updated? Or you could just sit there whining your a** off, you're choice.
  22. Accidentally hit the "new topic" button? Or is my ego due for some inflating :P .
  23. You mean 15 men, 45 cross dressers? I'd say my list is nor more than 5% women, 10 tops.
  24. Amen broda.
  25. some of those things werent even pointless, but could actually matter alot in some situations. Yes.... you quoted and repeated what I said why?
