  1. So I was just fooling around with a new DIY to play with, and decided to throw a month's membership on it to have some fun, figuring it was only $7.95 anyways. But when I went to the payments, this shows up: Regardless of more "Spin" promotions, this is one hell of a good deal for first month of membership, actually am quite pleased with this lol.
  2. Haha awesome, 3.4k deaths and 2.3k laws in inv atm :D
  3. Wait, does that mean you can cash in your runes for points in some other way? Like is there a wizard you talk to that gives you points for your runes? I've been here for 14k straight points so i have ALOT of runes i'd love to cash in lol.
  4. I guess in a way Frost Dragon Bones over normal Dragon Bones, it's 3x(?) faster but costs alot more money. Wouldn't be too bad if it had for instance a level requirement in prayer to bury, but essentially you can get 1m exp per hr with FDBs at level 1 prayer. Overall though, I do agree that most methods are pretty nicely tiered. Ah Dragon bones have dropped quite a lot. Still ,between those and frosts you have Dagannoth & Ourg bones which slot in between the 2 as alternatives. Ah true, didn't think of those, even if it's pretty unrealistic for at least say Ourg, they still are there. I think you've forgotten there is a difference between Ourg bones from zogres and Ourg bones from Graar. The bones from Graar are reasonably priced and buy easily. Good point, forgot about Bandos lol. So yeah I guess pretty much every skill is appropriately tiered really.

  7. I know it's another topic really, but does anyone know how many people have multiple max accounts? I'm starting to "get close" to maxing out my second account (99 all, though i'll prob 120 dung both before starting my third), just wondering if other players decided to max multiple accounts as well instead of going for 200ms.
  8. Except that the general average is around ~250k xp for $20, so 99 in any skill would cost over a thousand dollars. So considering the fact that minimum wage (at least here) is over $10 / hour, and RC for instance is around 60k exp an hour, for the amount of hours training yourself, you could have been working instead for double the money it costs for that exp. Is it still stupid to spend 20 bucks, AND earn an additional 20 bucks in the same time it would have taken to get that exp legit, but with no money gained whatsoever? Don't get me wrong, I HATE this update, drove me to pretty much quit altogether, but you really can't blame people for doing it, especially when it's a HELL of alot more time efficient to do this as well. This is also coming from someone who has maxed an account 100% legit, and almost maxed a 2nd 100% legit.
  9. I never had the option of not activating it, had to click the link in my email just to be given the option to log in, which automatically assigned the 14 day trial. Also, at least when I played my new char using tutorial, I was not allowed to leave via the gate until I completed every task in the burthorpe/taverly set, so im not sure if they added this after you did yours or not, but was there when I did it. You could open the task list, in the top right there was an "Options" button I believe, click that and deselect the the box for the Tutorial, you were then free to leave. Ah what a nice waste of 2 hours pre-bonus weekend... Well my idiocy aside, still interesting that Jagex has removed the 14 days membership.

  11. Just a small note: Just created a F2P account so I don't have to pay Jagex a penny out of disgust for the Squeal update, and noticed upon activation, you start in Lumbridge again. This means: - No annoying 2 hour Troll Warzone Tutorial - Pure F2P Characters can once again be created - No forcing players to be a member for 14 days I personally see this as a welcomed removal, but can be seen both ways I guess.
  12. Well that may be true, I can understand the concern especially so shortly after lists of max players email, ips, passwords from zybez forums was mass leaked. Alot of people would want to know their original logins to see if any just happen to share the same password with zybez forums as their as accounts. I'm not accusing Joepo, I just see where some people are coming from that's all.
  13. I wouldn't be. I'd bank stand the hell out of things, afk as much as possible. Try and get people to take my internet down so I could finally log out from this hell hole. I seriously could not manage the play time that the top players do, even if I did have the opportunity. I personally don't see how they do it either. It took me 10 years just to max my one account, and try as I might, I can barely ever last to the 6 hr auto-logout, let alone 10+ hrs in a single day. Major props to the top players patience to be able to do this daily, takes some real determination.
  14. Does this mean Astral Runes now become the best Non-ZMI Runecrafting exp? (Home tele to lunar, duelling ring to castle wars bank).
  15. I tried his 75m gp / hr method with Torstol, it died, lost 240k in 5 seconds... 172.8m gp loss per hour... WTF?
  16. Well i did some testing on exp per zeal for defence (same as attack and strength), and got the following EXP Values / Zeal: Level 28 - 431 / Zeal Level 29 - 475 / Zeal Level 30 to 34 - 525 / Zeal Level 35 to 42 - 1,050 / Zeal Level 43 to 48 - 1,575 / Zeal Level 49 to 54 - 2,100 / Zeal Level 55 - ? - 2,625 / Zeal So as of level 30, you gain 525 Exp / Zeal every now and then (doesn't seem like a predetermined amount of levels, since all the exp per zeal I have found here lasts for a different amount of levels.
  17. I don't know if it's exactly 2% because at level 1 Def, I was offered 29 exp per zeal. I will check every now and then while def rises to see if i can find any consistencies to determine a formula.
  18. Why not? People are so elitist about slayer its sad. Get 99 slayer the current way then come back and say that :\
  19. Because pic 1 was after Jad was taken down (the other 4 monsters are healers), and pic 2 is 10 seconds later when he got the cape for it. Congratz on 3 fire capes without banking, that's just nuts @.@
  20. Smithing is profitable if you know how to train it. Exactly, which is how I made 35m profit in the last 3 days, spending no more than 3 - 4 hrs to get it in total lol. There are ways to make money in almost every skill, except on many you have to look really hard, and do a bit of trial and error to find out how. As for this nerf, I never really knew about this "bug" until the nerf happened, but if I found a way to make 2m + Cash an hr from a small update that many people could do (taking away the construction level needed to take advantage of it), I'd have it in my mind that it probably wasn't right, and would only do ~ 1 load at a time. I'm not blaming people for investing money into it, but anybody who's complaining should not be complaining about losing the money (Which most actually aren't). The only thing I can think of is the way Jagex mentioned on them not taking action against those who abused this. They really made it sound like people doing this were bad players, and knew that it was a "wrong" thing to abuse. This is not true, as 99% of these players doing this probably looked at this method as a reward from getting the level 3 boots, and not a "bug", but just something that may be nerfed soon. I feel sorry for those who lost alot of money, but you have to take risks to make profit sometimes, and sometimes those risks can bite you in the behind.
  21. Woot, Slayer ftw :P Gratz to all other winners, some great outfits were submitted :D
  22. What some P2Pers who use the statement "Why don't you just pay" and such don't realize, is sometimes people are F2P because they ENJOY being pure F2P. I'm a P2Per myself, with a level 138 character. I have paid for members for many years (actually, since members itself came out). However, I have also made another account which is pure F2P, because I enjoy F2P more for the following reasons: - Exp/hr is drastically cut, makes for a greater challenge - Cash is much harder to earn on f2p, which increases the challenge even more - Most of the training spots in f2p are crowded which... you guessed it... increases the challenge - With the challenge being so much higher than P2P, each level actually feels like it is worthwhile. Those 99s you get on P2P within only a couple weeks, you can actually feel personally proud of that you got it on F2P Now, I'm not going to say which version is better, because it all depends on personal preference, but some people only see the side of "It's cheap to buy members, just do it", or "Why train at low exp per hour? That's just stupid!". What these people need to realize is, some people prefer those methods. Now, concerning the updates, I agree 100% with the fact that F2Pers should NOT beg / whine about the updates, or lack thereof. If you choose to remain F2P, you have to also accept the lack of options available to you. This is also true for some pures who have to accept that with their low stats in particular areas (Defence, strength, attack, combat in general, etc), that not all updates will be available to them. Another interesting fact : Without F2Pers, you could only really buy Pure Essence, since there would only be PVP worlds, you could only mine pure essence after 30 mining. Therefor, if you ever want to make lower level runes, you will have to pay triple / quadruple the price per rune since you have to use pure ess. (Small fact, I know, but there are many other things that F2Pers contribute to the game, including non in-game things).
  23. Have you ever heard a song by any musical artist, and KNEW you have to dow...er...buy every single CD ever made by that artist on the spot? I have to say that I have never run into that situation until now with Joe Satriani. I don't know why I have never listened to the guitar virtuosos before now (Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie, etc), but I have now made sure that I never run into that mistake again. For those who are unfamiliar with Satriani's work (or would like to hear more if you have only heard him in GH for instance), here is some links to the songs I found were my favorites by him : Always With Me, Always With You http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=F4fPv450OYM The Extremist http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ao3qgJ3AfI Surfing With The Alien http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=VO8QsoNOV ... re=related Is there any other Satriani / Virtuoso fans here? If so, who is your favorite, and which song by them would be your favorites?
