Just a side note, I never bothered getting the Magical Cage after completing the quest because I don't have the Summoning level to use it however today I wanted to travel to Mos Le'Harmless and you can choose to speak to Bill Teach about Rocking Out and he handed me the Magical Cage - which I destroyed and it says I have to speak to him again to get another.

In the database one pic is displayed with the note that it is available in four different colours, perhaps that should be expanded to: Available in: White background with blue stripes, or red stripes or brown stripes, black background with brown stripes. Because, there are new Stripy Pirate Shirts that you can get from the Pirate Implings. I got one that is light purple background with purple stripes. Members: Yes Quest: No Tradeable: Yes Stackable: No Examine: A seaworthy purple shirt. Category: Clothing Sub-Category: Other Weight: 1.0 kg High Alch: 180 gp Low Alch: 120 gp Location: N/A ? Shops: N/A Uses: Clothing Notes: Possible loot from a Pirate Impling, or can be purchased from another player. Links: Impestous Impluses *Pirate Implings can only be caught after completing the Rocking Out quest with a hunting level of 76.* Hope that helps.

I think some points were being missed with Turtlefemm's article. She gave away items to people she felt deserved it - not a whole group of hands being held out at the party hall (or stomping feet in this case). Remember the people who originally got party hats - they didn't "work" for it either - it was a holiday gift that became a rare item because current players deem it so. For some, that party hat is just that, a paper hat worth less than 10 GP alched, but giving away that paper hat to someone who sees it as something completely different - an item of "wealth", a item from a time gone by and so forth - the value varies greatly depending on the person's point of view. The fact gifts can be anything from barley malt worth 2 GP at GE but worth a whole lot more to the person needing it right then and there for a quest - remember those people? The ones who shouted ridiculously high prices buying items they wanted? (I had a friend pay 10k for a steel spear because she didn't want to wait around.) It's not just about giving gifts, but as someone mentioned - items were lent between friends. Just recently I was doing at clue at the Bandit Camp where all I needed was the clue, sextant/chart/watch, spade and I defeated the Zammy mage just to find out my next clue was the emote clue at Bandit Camp (same spot) - requiring blue vambs, addy square and rune pickaxe - my wonderful friend offered to come out and lend me these clue items so I wouldn't have to go and bank - but alas, couldn't - the value was over 30K. YES I could have (and did) bank to get the items but I hope you aren't missing the point - she wanted to HELP me out and save time by running those items to me, something we've done in the past and now can no longer do. The 30K limit is ridiculous. Can't even borrow a dscimmy from someone (not that I need to but I have lent mine out). The "community" feeling, helping others by lending items, or giving out items to see the exclamations from a grateful person - gone. Trading raw for finished product (yew longs for supplies anyone?) has also been squashed. The assist system does not help you if the person has the skill level to make it them self BUT DOESN'T WANT TO! People already have 99 fletching and just want to trade their supplies for finished products to alch their way to 99 magic. Don't be so quick to believe other options weren't on the table and other solutions weren't offered - this one was the "hard line" squash to not only gold farmers/RWT but to good people who played the game legit. Yes I understand, as do many others, Jagex TRIED to think of 'solutions' when they were going to bring down the hammer on RS by implementing the exchange, assist system etc... but they must admit - they did overlook a lot of things as I have mentioned above. Perhaps not quite dawning on them, that this WAS a massive multi-player COMMUNITY helping each other out in various ways that these "new" solutions don't cover. Here's something that hopefully everyone realizes, there wouldn't be any business for these gold farmers if there weren't players in RS that used their services - the whole "supply and demand" is what made this possible. The people who used these services, got what they wanted from it - and probably still playing the game enjoying their ill-gotten goodies.

TROUBLE BREWING Date: 4/14/2007 Saturday Time: 12 PM Pacific/ 3 PM Eastern / 7 PM GMT There seems to be some confusion - GMT does NOT change their clocks, the UK switches to BST which is +1 GMT so for those that are confused this event is at 8 PM BST World: 104 Location: Trouble Brewing Mini Game on Mos Le'Harmless RSN: Vhellcat Contact info: PM me on these forums please. Are ye a swarthy rum making pirate? Pick your side! Fancy Dan or San Fran. Which team will produce the most rum bottles? Practice your pirate walk and talk! Think you and your friends can catch monkeys and make them climb trees? Think you can gather sweetgrubs without being attacked? Think your team can make more than 10 bottles? RuneScape has a Knowledge Base Article on this mini game if you require more information.

Hello, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m Vhellcat. You may call me Vhell or Hellcat although the latter one confuses me in the presence of hellkitties released by Jagex. I am among those that are Keepers of veggies, herbs, trees (farmer) and so called ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åuseless junk̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
-
These of course aren't all my collections, I do have tons of other seeds and veggies as well as different logs, and most are 'functional' collections which mean I do use them although I keep trying to add more to make up the difference. I do have plans to eat the strange fruit, but the pile keeps growing in the meantime  I've used my bird nests to make the potions. I also don't buy to add to my collections, most of them I've gotten myself through farming/thieving/woodcutting/random events but I have been fortunate that some friends have helped (especially with the burnt monkfish since I can't burn them LoL)
-
Pack rat. That's me. Go ahead and laugh at my collection of potato seeds among other things. :XD: This picture is a little old, I have over 28k potato seeds, over 1k beer glasses, over 2k burnt monkfish, over 100 strange fruit etc... the only "useless" is the burnt monkfish but they are a personal joy to see with the grins. I pretty much have more of everything except the skulls since I rarely go by that area to pick up more. The 2120 baskets in picture is of tomatoes, the 670 is of strawberries. I'm a farmer so I do use the seeds and other veggies, and I do make ales so those glasses come in handy. I never understood the point of stackable needles since they don't degrade and can be used over and over. When I get a chance I'll put an updated pic

Definitely a music person. Even when sung a cappella, I'm listening to the harmony not the lyrics. Some songs I like finding out the lyrics, but for some, the lyrics ruin the song for me - or an idiotic video. Good thing I don't have cable and can't see most videos nowadays :XD:
-
Sure put me down for supporting the 'bonus' idea  Farming: Time it takes to grow crops is reduced (20 hours for a calquat tree, come on people - I need sleep! :XD: ) Fletching: Fletch all option, I think at 99 Fletching you should be able to skip the individual stringing. Thieving: Maybe at 99 thieving perhaps it's time that the Master Farmer DIDN'T CATCH YOU! :P
-
Sounds like an interesting idea. One thing to keep in mind is, you never know if one day 99 WON'T be the max anymore. With more and more people going for 99's and more getting them, Jagex will have to shake things up to keep those players interested. : As for 'master smith', the fact is you NEED 99 to make the highest level armor versus other stats that the highest you need is like 82 for herblore (at the moment at least). Also with these nice 'bonuses' for 99 in a stat, you'd need to be fair and think of bonuses for ALL. :-k

BIG BALLOON BLOWOUT Date: 3/3/2007 Saturday Time: 11 AM Pacific/ 2 PM Eastern / 7 PM GMT World: 65 Location: North of Falador (See pic) RSN: Vhellcat Contact info: PM me on these forums please. You must have completed Enlightened Journey quest to make the origami balloons. You will need papyrus, candle, tinderbox and ball of wool to make the balloon (s). Really quick and simple, we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll line up and (hopefully) release the balloons at the same time for a cool pic moment. If you have more than one balloon, just keep releasing them to fill up the skies of RS  We'll meet in the area pictured above.

RUNESCAPE TOO ADDICTING? MADE BEFORE TIP IT TIMES!!!!
Vhellcat replied to Joes_So_Cool's topic in General Discussion
Children for quite some time have been getting out of shape - choose whatever excuse is the 'hot topic' of the moment. To say RS is addicting isn't looking deep enough. If it was just you and the game, I'd say you'd get bored pretty quick. But it's the interaction with other people that gets you hooked. I'm an adult and when I first started playing RS the "thrill" of completing all the F2P quests is what got me interested and as time went on I formed friendships. I have a short attention span with games and get bored easily. RS has by far been the longest computer game I've played. (well maybe Solitaire beats that :XD: ) RS gets boring at times too, but I enjoy the friendships I have made in game and that is the #1 reason I still play RS. When I started playing I realized that I spent a bit too much time on RS and took mini-breaks (I used to play 7 days a week for months) taking a day off here and there and whoa - the game is still there! Now I'm busier in real life, I still play RS but I no longer "have to". I know the game will still be there. I find it disturbing to see how hooked some people get. They let it affect their life in negative ways. I wouldn't blame RS or any computer/internet related games for the lack of physical activity/"real life" of kids today. After all, the game can't MAKE you play, you have to make that decision and your family should be aware of what you're doing online. Parents that step in and say "I think you're spending a little too much time playing on the computer, let's set a limit" is a good thing =D> As for the adults that play RS, as long as they are happy in their real life and not use RS as a permanent escape to get away from RL problems, we should be fine. : A healthy balance can be had for your online and real life activities. So let me go check on my farm allotments then do some laundry IRL  -
Weekly Poll: Why do you play RS in low detail mode?
Vhellcat replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
I play both, high detail to see the graphics (did you notice some guides for clues say 'dig next to plant' and there is no plant in low detail :-w ) but once I've seen it, I go to low detail for reasons already named - for me the trees get in the way when I'm farming in Ardy on high detail so low is the way to go. I also just went to the Brim Agility Dungeon on low for first time and I like it a lot more without all the fussy graphics. Even on low detail they could do with the option of making walls 'invisible' depending on your view. I usually play zoomed all the way out because of the walls. :-k I get lag/disconnected on low detail often, so it doesn't help in that regard. -

Tip.It Times Presents: The One Rare Almost Everybody Wants
Vhellcat replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
My goodness if this fantasy ever came true I'd cry with tears of joy! =D> However, he'd probably have a limit as he does with everything else (I personally make tons of supercompost that he can't handle to hold :XD: ) -
BARBARIAN ASSAULT TEAM RACE Date: 2/19/2007 Monday Time: 5 PM Pacific/ 8 PM Eastern / 1 AM GMT World: 59 Location: Barbarian Outpost RSN: Vhellcat Contact info: PM me on these forums please. Looking to get several BA teams to race to wave 10 starting from wave 1. We will meet in the wave 1 room and form teams. (You can form teams before hand so once you enter room you don't have to hunt for a team). Once the teams are set we will begin the race. First team to get to the wave 10 room that started in the wave 1 room wins. If you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re interested keep in mind that it takes about an hour (can be less or more) to get to wave 10 so if you know you can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t play for that time, please don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t commit to a team because you will leave them stranded. RuneScape has a Knowledge Base Article on this mini game if you require more information. Hope to see you there! FAQ Q. Why is the race to wave 10 and not after queen is killed? A. It is easier to verify a team that started in wave 1 has reached wave 10 versus a team who had killed the queen because there is no real proof you killed the queen, you can just stand by the ladder where you end up if you had killed the queen without doing so. Q. I already have 4 friends (team of 5 including myself) who want to do this but aren't members of this forum - can they come? A. Yes, this event is open to anyone who wants to form a team and race other teams. Q. I don't have a team, can I still come? A. Yes, not everyone will have a team prepared before event starts, so join wave 1 room and find yourself a team! Perhaps you could even post in this thread what position(s) you can do and that you're looking for a team.
