That blue thing is a teleport stone lol.. It was there even before the update!
-
you can wield a bear helmet + stealing creation melee armour + 4 pouches + lightweight cape/gloves/boots.. And you still have 0 weight. Btw if you haven't done dream mentor don't forget to equip the seal.. (otherwise equip a glory to acces edge = faster repair)

Hmm than you've got to be lucky wiht the altars - otherwise you'er wasting inventory spots.. I'd say leave them unless there is an altar nearby... Only bones considering bringing to an altar would be the dragon bones..
-
Get an lava staff and get a stock off law runes in inventory -> moonclan tele -> bank -> go to altar -> moonclan tele

maybe against bosses, but the boss attacking slower won't really help you kill it quicker =\ the defense draining ability for the ranger seems like it'd be better for bosses, that don't have particular weaknesses. Slowing attacks means also that a magician can hold his own in the dungeon.. So you can finally solo mage.

It is, actually. Training Dungeoneering is more time consuming than I realized, and considering a lot of the Runescapian population hates the skill, we'll probably have a monopoly on those dragon for a while (There are more peope with 85 Dungeoneering than there are people with 99 Runecrafting). It won't really be a monopoly: it doesn't really bring anything "very good" in runescape.. Sure they are the bones which are worth most, but for training prayer the money you make an hour is the deciding factor instead of the xp you get per bone.. This means for 99% of the population dragon bones will be better: only if the price really drops to around 2.2 times the dragon bones they should be considered best!

Stil no other way to get tokens? - What is the point of xp then lol.. (those dungeons aren't THAT good, I think the frost dragons will go the way zombies went)

Bone burying speed, or PC for pray (see post6)
pulli23 replied to pulli23's topic in Help and Advice
Well I did calculations with my sheet (which automatically updates the prices each day) and I noticed this: atm for me (guess of 900k gp/hour as rcing is my only source of income) baby dragon bones are best, closely followed by big bones.. Dragon bones are a far third.. (they became best when earning more than 1.2M an hour) -

Hmm kk. Well this made me wondering, PC has gotten a complete overhaul hasn't it? Now with bone prices, wouldn't that be a faster method to earn prayer levels? -
Well you should stil use the 10% strength pray.. The only task -and I don't even piety often- where I would consider using curses at that level (I myself am 72 prayer so I know what it is like) is mithril dragons..

Well I would like to train in a more involved way.. Using altars only is so boring.. -

Hello, I'm planning to train my prayer to 95.. And I got to make the money for that first.. However to determine the best method I also need to know how fast I can bury bones: -how many bones an hour with normal burrying(standing in bank, withdraw, bury) -How many an hour with (your own) altar? -how many an hour with ecto (taking into account you also need to make slime)?
-
Hmm so I first tried tormented demons.. However every world I checked had at least 2 others.. :| Then I checked green dragons (both clan wars as CT) and it was even worse! Is DK also so full always? - It's really annoying if people steal your kill, and then start talking trash that I'm too low level..

Or maybe i have a massive cashpile and im waiting on getting them all to 99 in one go :) and I dont bot, but i dont hate people that do either. They dont HURT my gameplay and infact they will BENEFIT me when i work on all my production skills at once :) have a nice day No you don'T understand, my opinions are now truth and nothing you say have any effect. You fear that people ranting against bot will make Jagex be harsher on macros and you will end up perma-ban. There I go, another baseless assumption. Have a nice botter's day. As to your statement saying bots don't have an effect on your gameplay, wait till you start slaying pure-ess droppers and you'll get undervalued drops. Slaying as a moneymaker #-o please stop your embarrassing me. what is that 90k (probably more) an hour without rare drops? I have seen a lot of threads asking if slayer is a good money maker, and plenty of responses saying YES Its amazing i made 80mil, only took me 9 months of playing. Grand total of a whooping 50k an hour. Or -800k an hour with extremes, cannonballs, etc. But if your so sure im a bot, i must have an amazing one. 6 years of playing and 0 offenses. I don't know if you've just never slayed before in you're life, or if you're just pulling numbers out of your ass, but saying slayer is 50k an hour is complete [cabbage]. :shame: This is from 35 minutes at jungle strykewyrms. I don't know about you, but that looks like a bit more than 50k an hour to me. Certain tasks are better then others, but 230k an hour is still crap  Yes because clicking the high alch button 100k times takes skill. Its repetitive [cabbage]. Does anyone honestly find skills like that fun? If its not fun then their not doing something right. [/hide] Sigh.... I didn't realise 35 minutes was an hour now. In reality that actually comes out to around 450k an hour, which isn't bad for training combat. But either way it still proves that you're just pulling that 50k an hour number out of nowhere.  And even if some tasks are better than others, I've still yet to find a task that only makes 50k an hour... I've yet to find a task that makes only 150k an hour. And don't say hellhounds, because its pretty obvious you don't make any money there with them only dropping charms, whoever I value charms pretty highly seeing as how skills>cashpile. (I don't include clue rewards in my hourly slayer rate). You would be correct, i got my info from people posting advice on the tip.it help section of the forums. They say they made 80-100mil through leveling slayer to 99, now if you average all the hours that takes its a fairly low GP per hour rate, aslo in the same post i said 50k i also said quote "90k (or more)" Also slayer is only so good now because of inflated prices on seeds and herbs. And if your slaying for maximum exp its a money drainer, but if your slaying for money theres better money making methods anyways, which is the point im trying to make Actually if you use overloads & cannons on average tasks you indeed make around ~50k an hour.. It's just that without these the profit would be around ~500K an hour at average tasks..

True.. And I wouldn't go for the armour if I could get -like I used too- in monsterhunting clans without them. - Though currently the levels are the biggest obstacle.. The problem is that with all money making methods that once I invest in something and I finally get to the point of raping the benefits: it suddenly isn't the best method anymore. -RC used to be the best money making method in rs. Yet when I turned 91 the ge was implemented and rune prices were in a freefall -Then I trained slayer as that was then the "best profit": yet now that I am achieving the high levels suddenly it isn't a good money method anymore ruud 99 is my RSN (click it for highscores). I could always do the old fashioned things like camping green dragons etc. But I'm more or less wondering: with my stats wouldn't -at least some- bosses make more profit when soloing? I don't mind risks, as long as they are manageable.

mtk I still do, as that doesn't really matter when I come.. (If I feel like going to mtk only 1 times a month I can, if I want to go every day I can too, yet the amount of money doesn't differ so much). It's just things like bork & jade vine I really dislike. But if rcing is best money maker: well that really sucks.. It's only 800K an hour, I can play about 4-5 hours a week effectively -so I can make 4M a week with these method.. Yet the price of high end armour rises faster than that on average the last year!

Hi there, I've been ranting about this for ages already, levels are really devalued. (When I started I chose for runescape as there you wouldn't need to max first before you could do almost everything). However I also know it is something I have to live with. But now I'm stuck in a pretty awfull position: -I am too low level to get into dungeoneering teams. -> to get levels I would need to earn money. -> I have to low levels to get into a boss hunting team -> to get levels ... This is due to the fact I need to train prayer first.. (Or magic, since I don't want melee to get 10+ levels above magic/ranged - I want to get a balanced char). So what is a good money source? My stats: 90 att, str, def 83 magic 88 (close to 89) ranged 72 pray 91 rc. (though I refuse to rc until the money made from skilling is proportional to what it was around 2005) 83 slayer There's only 1 thing I really won't train: dailies or things with a timer.. Sorry but I would like to play to have fun, when I want. Dailies are for me really troublesome. Until now I earned all my money through slayer & RC. (And gave all my money to friends to celebrate 91 rc) Thus am stuck to 20M with standard slayer gear. (and decent stock on basic consumables part from brews & super restores)

As explained people who are older have a life with lots of commitments. I'm not really sure but now that I'm studying (and the closer I get to finishing the more) I really don't have time apart from during holidays to play games more than 2-3 hours a week. And I can't see anyone with a full time job having much more time than that. What is considered "high level" is getting faster away from me than that I could catch up. People still in primary sometimes play in excess over 20 hours a week. They don't have to satisfy the many real life commitments older people have to. (study, cleaning/repairing house after storm, getting diner, working out taxes) They all might not seem as long activities but together they eat your time..

Actually no, this isn't nonsense: It has been shown often that the prefrontal cortex of the brain is still deploying until around the age of 20. This part of the brain holds the part which helps by controlling emotional and impulsive behaviour. (while the part that controls primitive reactions and thus creates impulsive behaviour employs between the age of 12-18). Thus it is simply shown that somebody from age 20+ has more maturity (maturity is being able to control yourself when being tainted) than somebody before that age.
-
Might be your attitude. I wouldn't want to play with you, either. Might be.. But I don't normally talk like that, it's just the way I'm getting more and more fed up with the current elitism. (I really despise people who're overly proud of their stats and are showing off). People who I did dungeoneer with often say I wasn't really bad (I easily adept to other playstyles). Problem is I rather have people not waste an friend list spot on me: I'll only be on very rarely so I'm not a good friend. Which is another difference in runescape: some time ago runescape was played a lot by "casual players". People who only play (as the name suggests) casually (considered less than an hour a day) to have a relaxing time. I'm missing that group of players nowadays!

The effects that occur when multiple people chop the same tree
pulli23 replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
But if everyone is cutting 1 tree, and you're cutting another that helps you since you have to walk less. Making it boils down to the prisoners dilemma For trees it's pretty obvious to note (You'll easily notice that the tree/ivy will only get removed when you get a log/xp meaning it doesn't work on time, but rather a chance each log). What I do wonder is how it works with fishing spots.. -
You know, I remember something: a few years ago people were actually writing topics of JAGEX maybe buying out - though the topics were quickly blocked as spreading rumors. - But as you can see now this wasn't so far off!
-
Uhm nope, remember those days the first people achieved 80+ smithing? - Ye they made easily a million (which was a lot). I really wonder when this idea was adopted that monster hunting should be the main income for everyone which fuels skilling..
-
The problem is that I don't care about xp.. I just want to do team based stuff (hence it's an MMO, it's all about the advantages of online gameplay).. And dungeoneering was my favourite thing when I left (like 2 weeks after dung came out).
