Problem is their detection scripts detect lots of false positives. When I was training for runecrafting during that time I was banned 3 times for botting in a period of 1 year. (Yet obviously I wasn't). - Worst thing is they (Jagex) never said what caused the (script, mod?) to trigger so I couldn't do anything.
-
Or maybe i have a massive cashpile and im waiting on getting them all to 99 in one go :) and I dont bot, but i dont hate people that do either. They dont HURT my gameplay and infact they will BENEFIT me when i work on all my production skills at once :) have a nice day read that anology written on previous page? - You sound really arrogant there. Egoistical actually.

http://gamepolitics.com/2010/07/15/jagex-we-had-self-publish I never knew that Sony invested in Jagex back in 2005, but it's interesting to see how widely rejected the concept of Runescape was merely five years ago, and now the browser based MMO market is shooting up so high that many industry leaders are getting behind the idea, such as Richard Garriot (Ultima Online's creator), Free Realms, Fusion Fall (Cartoon Network MMO), and the millions of Evony clones. Still not blizzard, activision or ea who build the browser based games. - It was and is just out of their scope: they target a different audience..

Uhm my 91 rc didn't take little time.. Nor was it not risky (I quitted playing shortly after the wilderness was removed, got to ~88 before the GE).. And well don't tell me camping bandos is risky? I used to go a lot with a few friends while I still played (and I was lvl 100-110 back then).. And never ever died, it's a piece of cake. But there is just 1 weird thing: since the GE was removed, rcing has become the same, or slightly less profitable yet GWD has become more profitable THAT is the weird thing I see happening now: similar happened for mining, woodcutting, fishing.. On the other hand if you want to TRAIN some skill for combat (herblore, prayer) it becomes much more expensive.. These 2 facts mean that those who went for full-combat are getting ahead money-wise from those who went (first) to level skills. And now we're getting to a point that -the way to 99- it is completely stupid to go first for skilling, and try to get better in combat thanks to the skilling you did.. The only way is to go first for combat, and thanks to the money made from combat skilling becomes easier/faster. These 2 paths leading to the same goal should, in my opinion, be of similar length..

You now really sound like a scared person who can't think as an individual being: "help there happens something others said it isn't good, now we have to believe them".

The Q&A Team wanted a little more time to test the update. Fine by me as there is one off-week planned for July anyway. Might as well use it to make an update less bug-filled. Too bad it falls in 1 of the sparce 3 weeks I have holiday :/

Uhm care to explain why it is valid, why should you go for "best experience" or "best profit", instead of "most fun".. You know it's annoying if people ignore my post, and simply say "it's valid'.
-
Why? - an quest is much more interactive. Don't forget we are playing an RPG, there stories should be the main thing! And in most quest the stories are pretty humorous (got to love the british humor), and actually no that bad!

Thats not a good thing in the real world (depending on who you are, this benefits minorities and less qualified individuals NOT the business). As a business i want to hire the best people. Unfortunately i cant hire someone i feel is the most qualified because i have to much of this race and not enough of another. Runescape doesnt need any of this. Also the problem of mid level players not forming their own groups is the mid level players fault not the elite players nor Jagex's. I would like to see someone form a Dungeoneering clan level 80-110 combat, 1400-1800 total. But if no players do so its not Jagex's fault they dont get teams its the individuals. However if i was 138 with 2400+ total level. And im with 3 other people so its the 4 of us and we need 1 more player to go. A level 100 would not benefit us at all, their skills are probably inferior and they cant help us kill things because they would hardly hit. Therefor were essentially 4 manning a 5 man dungeon, and carrying the last guy. Do you see why most 138's want to avoid this senario, because that last guy could fail on all the puzzles and get someone killed and cost the team valuable exp. Can't you simply see how asocial that sounds, how inhuman, just saying "hey you can't give me a benefit, so I won't help you either. The bigger levels should take a turn in mentoring the lower levelled people: and dungeoneering is made in such a way you can do this very, very good! (as you're for quite some time together with others, and thus have lots of time to talk and share experience). What's is it that nowadays people only go for most experience? - It's not what I remember runescape.. Some years ago I used to run a clan, and we exactly didn't look for levels or something: but rather for the person's attitude while playing. People should be willing to learn and actively participate on the forum & chat room. We didn't care for the real maximize of experience, nor the gold we gained. We had lots of DK, KQ, KBD & CE trips, did many castle wars & had quite a lot duel tournaments. And we were a mix and match of people ranging between 126 & lv 80. The big thing we shared was that we had actual FUN during those activities, we had FUN since we could play together! Sadly all those friends quitted one after one since the release of the GWD (suddenly a race for gold & experience started then - and for those who like to take a relaxing road the games becomes very dull and they feel left out). PS: on the business side: a company shouldn't be made with as goal to make profit.. A company should be made with as goal to achieve something in the world, to make something for others better.. Look at the big companies: philips, originally started in the spirit of frits philips who saw the number of unemployed people growing in south netherlands with the closing of the coal mines.. Then with the personal money of the family they started a fabric, which then grew.. - It had a goal (to prevent unemployed people) which is should keep striving to achieve. Not some far away shareholders satisfaction.. That angelsaxian economic model is the prime cause of current economic crisis: it forgets the most important thing in human life: we are social beings!

What's the list, all boss monsters? Why do boss hunters get the biggest part of the cake lately always?
-
ELITISM IS ASOCIAL! simple as that, we should strive to be a social being and not act this bad! I'm sick of you elitism people who really really are no lifing -dare I say it- noobs who think they know everything.. Yet have you played since runescape classic? - Do you know [garden tool] the actual prayer system works -and spend countless of hours verifying that this was correct, have you figured out as first person how to beat the gluttonous behemot? - Have you experience with the old pkers trying to kill you while doing abbys runs to get rc 91? Have you experience with castle wars and own a silver set for years? Have you (in the past) helped building scripts to find the best PC worlds? Do you own every barbarian assault item? Have you ever discovered new big dungeons & quests without any guide available anywhere? Have you taken the time to finish difficult riddles, without help of sites like tip.it - and actually providing tip.it with the information you retrieved? I don't think so, and yes above was something I did do... You probably are a new "az-produkt" only doing something as simple -though admittedly effecient- as possible. Something a simple robot could do equally good, if not better. What did those levels bring you in real experience? And evenso: as I shown in the above combat is only a very small part of runescape's experience, yet you're completely biased towards this.. I don't blame you, I blame the last 2 years of updating all depending -and giving- combat experience.. Ever since the wilderness was removed the majority of the updates were based on combat. This wouldn't be bad, if this stupid "elite" wouldn't force their way on others so much if they want to skill. (dungeoneering a prime example).

Nope any 1st world country makes sure you can't "just hire who you want'... - In a first world country there are lots of safeguards so the employee has to come up with a reason someone is not fit, and even if someone almost falls out of the boat, the goverment takes steps and forces employees to help a job for that person.. In the real world that works, because there are jobs in every shape possible, so if A doesn't fit for you, you can do B, or C: there's always a thing that fits you exactly.. In dungeoneering this isn't the case: there is no "high level" or "mid level" teams forming, thus if people don't fall in A, they can't do anything! I do believe in free social choice: you're free to choose as long as you're thinking about others and doing what's best for EVERYONE..

Most of my skills are around 80, apart from the useless skills like herblore, fletching & cooking. getting them to 90 before continuing to train combat... When I got those (seriously around 3 years ago) that used to be "very high", but if I go to the forums, or w117 people don't even LOOK at you.. I just am ignored there! (I wrote large parts for the runescape wiki in the first few weeks when dung was released: back then I COULD get in teams easily, now I got to wait 15+ minutes, and even then only find "rushers" - who annoy me to no end) Also I notice a big change in attitude: back then there were also the so called "elitism", we had "pest control" who hopped worlds if too many low (normally considered 90-, sometimes 110-) lvls entered. However many, many people looked down upon that. Not only because pc was considered "cheating", but also because it wasn't good if you would leave others out. - This attitude change is quite shocking

I hope slayer will become a good way to get also lv 4 clues.. - I see slayer and clue hunting after each task as a thing that belongs together.. The new slayer monsters sadly lack clue scroll drops: so I hope they get the lvl 4 ones..
-
Yes, they will complain about how slow it is, BUT that doesnt mean they suck at it. Remember Zergs are only good for rushing. If your Zerg rush fails you wont win. But these players will naturally go faster then the group - in addition to complaining about how slow the rest of the group is - and will probably die and leave party. Someone used to rushing has no patience and does do stuff like this. Now i know plenty of rushers that dont, but knowing plenty do would make me not want to add them to a group if i wasnt rushing. Also on topic with the thread. Here is my opinion about level discrimination in dungeoneering in general (no one replied to it earlier) For the lvl requirement within dungeoneering I can fully understand.. - However levels gained outside of a skill shouldn't make it so you CAN'T play the skill in the way it's meant.. Especially if the requirements to DO play it are so perverselly high.. (I understand a lv 130 doesn't want to play with a lv 90, however I do think anything between the 3/4th margin shouldn't make too much of a difference).
-
So what you are saying is basically: sorry you don't have the level, so you can't play the game! don't you notice how asocial this is?
-
Well aren't there dungeoneering clans then, where levels don't matter so much? (Though clanning died with the death of swiftswitch)
-
I DO have a high lvl.. I'm not sure when the inflation of lvls started.. But a year back 120 was considered high. (heck when I played a lot still, about 2-3 years ago lvl 100+ was high).. It ment you spent hundreds of hours in the game: does it now mean you can only play if you are totally wasting your time? - Where is the room for the causal gamer?
-
aS I said I'm 79 dung
-
Uhm nope, I'm 79 dungeoneering, gained in the first weeks after it came out (if I play, I play efficiently enough to compete with the top 100)
-
Hi there, I'm a casual player, only playing weekends/holidays.. So now I would like to train dungeoneering: as I love team based activities (hence I hardly ever skill at all).. However something hit me: I can't get into any team. since I'm apparantly too "low" How pervert is that? - I've been playing since 2003 on and off already, and am probably more experienced then those pc products.. Yet no one allows me in their team because I'm lvl 123? Ow and please don't say "play with friend" or "join a clan".. Because quite frankly, since I only play occassionally these aren't options either!

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!

They could easily apply a limit to how many of them you could find in a day. Or something to that limit. I don't think that'd be too bad and the fact that if the dungeons are random then you wouldn't always get a rune rock in it. I hope not.. I'm getting sick of the "limits" and "daily things".. If I like to play something now I should be able to, shouldn't I? -
Do you fail all seeds then? - The return only "triggers" if you have a dead herb in the first place
-
Nope. If magic would have some special spells you would for example be able to build a " nuke".. (in most games magic is considered usefull for it's nukability) and someone else with melee build as tank! Would give so much more actual tactic to runescape other than the everyone for himself paradigm we have now

Hello, I'm planning to train fletching a bit.... What I am looking for a decently fast method that costs me around 2 gp / xp
