I'd safe a spot for a cat: they're always usefull Also I personally like to have quest-based things (guardian, eek, parrot)
-
I like how some people immediatelly jump to the conclusion of: "iyar" and "stupid for following". I've got to agree that following was pretty ignorant, however calling somebody a lyar at the spot without any proof is just unkind. And especially since a few people confirmed the "trap" it makes you look like fools.

This is NOT true. My in-game sounds are ALWAYS off, yet I could always hear the opening music. there was something weird: if it was öff" you could hear the music (yet the slide was completely to the "Mute" side.. And you had to move up and down the volume slide again.. Yet if it wasn't muted in game, the volume was th same in game

Why does Jagex make such a big fuss about bank space?
pulli23 replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
How does this method work? I'm asking because I'm going to train there soon. If you can just link me to a post about it that would be fine. you fill your bank entirelly.. Even so full that the pouches/laws/astralls don't fit on your bank anymore.. Then when banking you can just click "bank all" and all your runes will be banked.. Yet you keep the pouches/law/astralls in your inventory. -
Most sites don't like you gathering their data continuasly: and if they like it they often provide extra help for it.. "Rss feeds" is what you'll want then..
-
lol don't bump your post within an hour -.-.. It's on of the marks of a troll! (be carefull with those, they're powerfull, and could destroy places easily) Anyways, I'm not really getting your question: what do you want?
-
That's literally exactly what you're doing. uhm what? - The only thing I said is that you shouldn't play more than 30-90 mins.. Well let me rephrase that: sitting more than 180 mins a day behind a computer is unhealthy and will cause RSI later now I consider the average employee to spent at least 1-2 hours doing administrative work (so behind a pc). And thus my statement that an average person shouldn't play more than 30 - 90 mins a day is simply a medical statement, there's no influence of my own lifestyle (other than that I did experience the bad effects of spending too much time behind your pc and I try to warn children who're still growing and thus more vulnerable to RSI).
-
no it is not! Don't project your own lifestyle on others: -15M xp still takes 100+ hours to get from start.. - That's a lot of time to spent on a game.
-
Hell yes it is. I could get 1500 levels in 2-3 months, maybe less. You wouldn't even need 15m xp for that. "even"... Please get your facts straight: a normal player shouldn't play more than 30-90 minutes on a game each day.. It's unhealthy to sit so long after work! On top of that: efficiency should be banned stop projecting your own efficiency on others and demand that everything should be "optimal efficiency".. Really runescape is no xp run.. Play in a relaxing style, and have fun and be helpful/social to newer members. Those are guidelines for each and every community. - Really without people feeling they should help others sites such as tip.it would've never existed! on topic: I say they are a failure, they try to get the high levels into some "elite" spot: while runescape should focus on player coorporation, where veteran players help newer players out and learn them how the game works!

When they removed it, the sound setting was the same as it was ingame: so if you had ingame music off, your sound settings also became öff".

Why does Jagex make such a big fuss about bank space?
pulli23 replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
Well still summoning really puts a big chunk on your bank space... As well as herlbore/farming.. (I keep all seeds/herbs/pouches).. However I do manage just fine with the current limit of 536 (constantly hovering around 30-10 free spaces).. However if a new skill such as summoning would be released bank space would soon hit the limit. -
Then you can still tell me: WHAT do you like about the (slayer) cape? Why do you prefer to wield it? The only reason I can think is to show off: - the stats aren't best, and do you really care for yourself how you look can't believe that!
-
WOW please go out, have a good time with friends, experience the wonderfull idea of "having fun together" and then return to runescape. You would really do a benefit to yourself, runescape and the whole world! - The attitude that runescape should be an efficiency run is sickening and frightening at the same time! because it is somehow fact that you cannot enjoy being efficient at killing things and levelling up? derp the more posts i read of yours the less intelligent you become No it is not a "fact" an sich.. What it is however is that by projecting that message of "efficiency is most important" on the global runescape population, this also becomes the generic assumption that efficiency is important). This means that jagex more and more caters towards "efficiency freaks".. And less and less towards the casual player. The problem with those "efficiency freaks" is that BECAUSE they care so much for efficiency, they naturally care less for other things.. And 1 thing should always be the prime reason you play an MMO: player interaction, MMO's are by definition a big social culture and THIS should be the reason why you play an MMO over a single player game. Saying: "I only play for my own enjoyment, and I don't give anything about what other think of me" is a very egocentrical statement as it means you're not caring for others, and are only playing the game (and thus using bandwidth) for your own good! - Wouldn't a single player game fit you much better if you care about efficiency only? PS: If I cared for intelligence with posters I would've left these forums along with all runescape communities a long time ago! I did try to plase intelligent discussions here in the past, but the only way to get into some people is by making bold statements. (if you need proof of this statement, look at this topic: I said technical limitation weren't a problem, yet the next 4 post suggested that it would be!

Technical limitations. 1 extra bank space = 1 millisecond extra lagg. uhm no? the data send for bankspace is so small it could fit into one of the many other packages! a database can be infinitellly large. And even a billion entries would hardly dent the lookup-time a lot! Really technical there are NO reasons at all to not increase the bank size -

Oh, I loved that fletching cape, and still like it. To me, people wearing a skillcape aren't half as pretentious as people who go around sayingthey are "Pure f2p" or that they started in classic, or those who said BEW cheapened their accomplishments (Although these people simply didn't want to get their highscores spots taken). All that elitism, that's part of RS. Skillcapes look pretty nice and add some diversity to RS. I don't see why people wearing them should bother you. Because no matter how much people lie about why they're wearing them, it's to act better, to make people jealous, and to incite negative feelings. Especially the harder to get 99's capes. Slayer, Farming (not hard but people think it is), Runecrafting, Herblore etc. Almost nobody wears it exclusively because they're proud of their accomplishment. That feeling goes away in a few days, I know because I've been there 4 times. I'm prepared to be assaulted and flamed. I could honestly give a [cabbage] if others like my slayer cape, I wear it because I love Slayer, and what better way to show that by wearing the cape? if you don't care: why do you want to show it so badly?

hello, my new task are nechrayels.. I decide I'd like to use normal chinchompas for this task.. The task consists of 168: so how many nechs would I roughly need?

I have a HP elitebook 8530w processor: Genuine Intel® core2 duo CPU T9600 @ 2.8GHz (2 CPUs) memory: 8 GB video card: nvidia quadro 770M fx At places where it's "quiet" (<10 people around) I'm stable at 50 FPS.. At decent places such as GE it's around 30. this is with all settings to "max". My other laptop is an IBM thinkpad T60 (4 years old, setted all options to max when bought): Processor: Genuine Intel® core duo CPU T2400 @ 1.83GHz (2 CPUs) memory: 2 GB video: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 This laptop has similar speeds as my newer however I need to set alll settings to "min". There are a few options which have much impact: -water detail single most heavy-option (though I hate to look at the low-quality water) -blinking off (in caves, though makes runescape a bit less lively) -shadows to static (easy option I actually often set to true, hard to notice) if you run dxdiag (press window icon + r to bring the run dialog, then type "dxdiag") you get an overview of all your computer's hardware.

Makes me wonder: to make fights fair: why not start 3 hours earlier? Really it's just stupid A GMT - BASED GAME focusses so much on those from the USA. They should be proud of where they live and focus on GB! (They even hinted next event would be at the USA, which is quite stupid and a waste of money/honour to get outside the country you live for an event OTHERS want you for).

Sometimes you also see something like: particles: 4:1 (red) - or - particles: 4:16 (white) Wonder what those mean (something like the number of effects, but what do the first and second num mean). ALso it's funny to see the bad java carbage collection everytime doing its job! On the topic of z-buffering: I believe since they now use a generic algorithm there will be problems when displaying something with the same "Z" value. - An example can be seen when watering flower plants.

Frost dragon bones are best to use while on brawlers

heck even for POH-altar when earning more than 2M an hour they are the best option at current pricing.. -
You know, what I would really love to create is an "antillegence" bot: by using ant-behaviour for pathfinding one could actually search dynamically for good. (Ants wander -in basic- randomly, then when they find a resource they return to home following the path they wandered.. leaving a feromone spore in their trail. Now new ants are more likely to follow the feromone spore yet may still wander. Each ant increases the strength of the trail (and the trail weakens by time). This means that the trail which can handle most ants a second (which is the shortest) becomes gets more and more ants on it. It would be a really interesting thing to see this happening in a world such as runescape (sadly it's not allowed). but I guess this isn't the place to discuss this.

Give me 30 minutes and I'll make a bot with human-like mouse movement and at least 1000000 variations of a drop ... Bots certainly cannot be stopped, but making their "life" harder is fun indeed  counter started! shall I send it to you by skype/email or any other means ? (I already had the human-like movement done, and the other stuff is fairly easy :D) no just tell me how you did it.. - You know human movement isn't random! - There are very advance robots trying to mimic human behaviour (I happen to have a friend who chose to study robottica for his MSc degree).

So....anyone completed strange rock statue yet?
pulli23 replied to Amundogus2's topic in General Discussion
hmm with the current speed I'm gathering those rocks it would take me around 7-8 years to complete the final statue >.> -
bots for thatexist already: -they use complexity 1 so no puzzles are present -they solo the dungeons (on med) so no interaction with others is present. However it should be said at the moment they aren't quite efficient and not suitable for the professional market. (They earn around 2-5k xp an hour).
