Please try to get yourself in all possible persons who are playing runescape: Take a look for example at the person who is "just" not ready to boss hunt (ie missing 1m herblore xp & cash for that) - Yet he really liked to bosshunt. Now with the current system het spend around 700 hours on that achievement. - And he has 100-200 hours to go. Now if such a "big bang" was incorporated, he would have 10 hours to go.. However all his 700 hours would become "void" and effectivelly worth 70 hours. - He wasn't able to reap any benefit from his long training yet when he was "almost there" the achievement was greatly reduced! - Those people will be hitted so hard by such an update that I don't think they'll really like to do anything afterwards regarding it. I wouldn't.

I think there is a priority: However it is still random.. Just if you put in 10 minutes earlier say you have a 0.6 chance to get, while someone else has 0.4 chance to get the item.

Not really. On the most part, it works fine. The days of updates big enough to redefine the game are long gone, because the game is far bigger than any update Jagex can muster without being tempted to releasing it in parts. Also, I like the idea of cleanup year, filling up the empty spaces in content, and tidying up every interface to be elegant and efficient (as well as standardised! The huge variety of older and newer windows makes them very unintuitive). Also, more clothes and character personalisation. That was probably the most widely supported update I've ever seen, and I'm keen to see more. wasnt that this year's theme already?

hmm the new dungeon in lumbridge? I been there once to do some fun tasks.. And the drops are abnormal "good".

Is hotkeying a button to a specific part of the screen legal?

You cannot write a legal macro. Macro's of any sort are illegal. Not true. Macro=/= bot. I never said a macro equal a bot. However, can you provide me with a macro that's legal? Do you have a gaming mouse? - Anything past 2 keys is handled as a macro by windows! I do not, however that's already written, so you don't have to write it. My statement was "you cannot write a legal macro". I'm just curious as to what you can write that wouldn't be illegal according to Jagex. Jagex ultimately decides, even if you find a way around the wording. Uhm why can I write it if I'm with a company but not during past time? -
Get all skills lv 30? - and melee 40 (or 60?)

Oh. Well, I can see that... But evil/dark/etc. armor that would increase life points? Still sounds a bit like a long shot. Mm I can see that. Something like "cursed" armor, maybe? Boosts life points but lowers defenses or negative damage absorb? negative absorb would completely void the use of extra lp lol.. lp's best use is to prevent kos.. negative absorb would increase the dmg (and thus making extra life useless).. -

That's exactly right. Melee armour hinders Magic and Range. Range Armour hinders Magic. Magic armour doesn't hinder melee or range. The game is rigged folks! Range armour needs to be given negative bonuses to melee stats. Dungeoneering armour is balanced relatively well because of positive and negative bonuses. Jagex needs to have the bullocks to make the required change and balance out combat. Well if a whip had like -10% mage absorbtion.. a meleeing wouldn't be able to fight a mage independend from his armour.. - Thus meleeers wouldn't resort to wielding range armour! Why would your weaponry absorb damage? It has to be based on the armor, not the weapon, otherwise you're making bandaids and not fixing the ongoing infection that is the screwed up melee favoring. (EDIT: Wait, were you being sarcastic?) no, using NEGATIVE absorbtion on WEAPON will make that weapon weaker vs a specific type of oponnent..

Yes. He's not using melee, obviously, since it's a projectile. It splashes on you. Also, try tanking him with melee armour on. Take an inventory of monkfish. Now try it with ranged gear. Same inventory of monkfish. Now that you've figured that out, try tanking him with range gear (since you've discovered it's a magical attack) and tank with pro mage on. Tank without. Tested those when Nomad came out. He uses mage, and pro mage DOES have an effect. (I think. Not like I can double check it now...) Jagex just likes to give newer boss monsters some prayer ignore capability. On topic: I'm a little disappointed in the absorb rates. I also think it's misleading and dumb to put it on lower level armour; I mean, how many people in, say, black armour are ever going to get hit 200+? >.< Seriously though, I think they should either raise the absorption rates, or remove the 200LP thing and *maybe* lower them. Best would've been if they'd redone much armour: with soaking you can actually make 2 armour types of equal "quality" but more desire base (what do you want: getting hit more dps yet lowering the max hit, or less dps but with higher max hits? - if it is balanced this will improve the variety a lot!) -
To make that one more specific. If they increase the drop rates, the market will the flooded with items, the prices will drop, the profit from those activities will drop and the ratio MH:Skilling will become closer to 1 (ofc you need to .. increase the drop ratio .. a lot x20 ? Or do the possitive approach: and add high lvl skilling stuff which actually give little xp but high quality items? Also I don't mind if monster hunting is more profitable.. I just dislike how the difference is so huge.. Skilling is so far back that only going for fastest xp is acceptable..
-
On a more obvious note: -Something done so that monster hunting isn't the most profitable method by far anymore.. (to the point where the rest is useless)
-
Like every year since 2008: ge removed, wildernes return

That's what I was trying to say the whole time already.. But as I already showed, the human mind itself always gives a "rating" to the luck one acchieved: people can't seperate emotions from facts.
-
See the image I posted earlier (and mark the caption text).. It's a thing in the human mind that we like to say "lucky" or "unlucky"...

the mouse is located where you last clicked (so if you click somewhere and then plug a mouse in, the mouse-cursor would be at the clicked position) -

I think tokt-ket-xil, armadyl gs & dragon claws (and maybe dragonfireshield?) are the main items effected by this update. Rest is more or less aesthetic only. -

What would happen if they added negative soak to WEAPONRY? - this would suddenly strengthen the combat triangle a lot again I think? -

Which is a pointer isn't it? Clicking somewhere generates (most of the time) "left-mouse-event" at the desired location. Obviously if you had a pen, you wouldn't have a pointer moving across the screen as well... or you would have a pointer following your pen movements, which would again be relative movement. A pointer is something which points! - it doesn't have to be a cursor. When you click somewhere, you'll see an dot/animation at the screen where you clicked. And if you're using both a mouse and a touch-screen, often the touch-screen also sets the mouse - cursor position. -

Won't change much lol.. There's no real difference between armour types, and especially relativelly there's little difference. Only slightly remarkable thing is the high absorbtion of the tokt-ket-xil... -

I rest my case. which is? I tried "cornering" trick i use often while fighting (2 monsters attack you from north & south, then you step east of 1 and immediatelly south of it now the northern is stuck behind the southern). - However the monsters here seem to start going into "wander" mode.

Um, no? The final boss of the new monkey quest has a different mechanic. He is the only boss to attack with 2 styles at the same time, not only that, but he also shifts the pwoer of each style accordingly. Like, when he hits 300's with magic, he hits 5~ with Ranged and so on. The gimmick is, as the battle unfolds, the power of one decreases as the other one increases, so at times protect from magic is best while at other Protect from missiles is the optimal choice. Or so i noticed it during my battle with it, i could be wrong  OT: I hope this brings a new high level smithing update to make soaking specific armour, with high stats aswell. I was kind of disapointed for Defence itself not giving any kind of boost. I could see 99 defence giving a permanent 10-20~ish % soaking bonus on all kinds of defence. no: it also happened with the first and 2nd boss (though I forgot the types it used)
