  1. I gained -slightly above- 60K average at lvl 90-91
  2. it's a graph of unique visits of rs.com it's relevant because every time someone wants to play runescape they must visit the site. Perhaps people are more aware of Runescape and are visiting the site directly instead of searching for it, or are simply using other search engines (the rise in popularity of Bing could play a factor) when they are looking for Runesacpe. ^If that is true, and Google is only tracking the hits from people who search RS through Google, my money is on that. I bet most people playing RS today have it on their favorites, or some type of bookmark system to get there quickly. But it DOES mean a decline in new people.. And all people who are playing will at some point grow tired.. So a game can only exist if there keeps coming a group of new player base!
  3. They didn't prove to us botting was a problem nor have they proved that they can't limit bots. Seeing bots is not what this update is about, it's their impact, and i have not seen proof of yew botting directly changing the game in any special way. If the bots don't make an impact, they have little reason to make them a priority, meanwhile, they are still keeping up their policy of mostly banning money buyers. The other thing, as we know, is that we really need to look at ourselves. If we don't use our money to get an advantage in game, rwt will certainly not increase. I have yet to see any huge rwt protest by those worrying about the increasing amount of rwt-ing they expect this update to deliver. They didn't need to prove it, we could see it with our own eyes. We could see how many bots there were, which means when they said RWT was a problem, it was easy to believe. Now though, we have nothing to show they can deal with it as bots have been increasing. For all current purposes, botting = RWT. The bots that will use free trade are those wanting to RWT. Wow "easy to believe".. What kind of attitude is that! Really why can't you believe jagex now, but you could 3 years ago?
  4. Back then I could see all the bots and Jagex's inability to stop them. So I believed that removing wildy and free trade was a solution. Now - come oooon. Their anti-cheat system right now is pure bs. It might be better than the old one but the bots are far better then their "past selves". The reason was that runescape had to be shut down if credit card fraud continued.. - THAT is never proven & I find it highly suspectible (on top of that apart from the us, most people don't pay with credit cards and prefer other methods).
  5. Uh, we didn't stand as a whole against Jagex back in Dec '07. We were really divided back then, moreso than now, and the people who agreed with Jagex were probably in the majority, or at least they were making the more reasoned arguments. This time, there's no debate, only one condition; If Jagex can fight the horde of cheaters in full 'free trade' swing, bring back free trade. If they can't, don't. It's a big bet, but I'm for it. That is pretty much the deciding factor. Can we put our trust in them to be able to implement it right, or are they caving to the pressure? read my previous post (5 posts above)

Back in 07 you believed jagex when they said (without any proof) that runescape would need to stop if free trade wasn't limited, didn't you? (BTW: the whole idea of wilderness removal was never a thing on it's own, it was only inevitable when free, player to player trade needed to be removed). Why do people not believe jagex now when they say runescape CAN continue if free trade was implemented. (And face it: the removal of wildernes was a side effect that ought to be returned ASAP - they tried doing it with revenants but that failed. I have no respect or whatsoever for people who are playing to be a victim when going into the wilderness!) It sounds so hypocritical.
  7. The graphics feel like they could be done by the engine though. - Especially the quality.. The only thing which I haven't seen are the animations (mainly for spells/sword) but they don't fit runescape. Even WOW uses outdated graphics currently btw (In developing communities it is often cited for being popular while having outdated graphic engine). Games like dragon age are much more realistic.
  8. Does that make me a 14-year-old proffessional teenager who doesn't really care, then? Well I do care: I'm a consumer and I expect to be treated with respect.. Popular talk such "bro" and things aren't exactly respectful. Well he said nearly brio (the guys name was Brio X). And since when do people have to change the way they speak based on your opinion? It's not like you couldn't understand what he said. He used a face, and said tbh. Both of which i wouldn't consider imature or very teenager anyway. If he typed like a four year old i would understand where you were coming from. But honestly he types just like everyone else in the world. You are making a big deal out of nothing. He is the face of jagex though. Wether he likes it or not he should make that face as straight & formal as possible! When I go to explain a new material to the 'public' in a magazine/conferance/meeting/whatever you won't see me resulting to "msn-type" abbreviations. Especially while wearing my companies official logo. Again: it is a mindset. And I'm surprised he's talking like that. It is not only the words, also the general "feeling" I see of him during the conversation: wasn't really professional.

Popular talk such "bro" and things aren't exactly respectful. I also expect jagex to put all efford into creating an amazing game. However somebody who's so indifferent with his language you can't really expect to be precisize & careful when programming/designing can you? @next: Even when I'm excited or donig my "hobby" I try to keep spelling and grammar as high as possible (considering I'm not a native english speaker). - It's a mindset you give yourself.
  10. Why does that mod talk like a 14-year-old unproffessional popularity-seeking teenager?
  11. where's that? The single most annoying area in Runescape -- Meiyerditch. I was afraid so (hoped for west ardougne) wow - you (jolletzu) went all the way to look for that?
  12. If you are helpless in wilderness you should be killed.. really wilderness is wilderness: you should prepare for everything when going there! -In agility course you can easily evade by jumping through the obstacles faster than the pkers! -Clues are only very short time in wilderness (like 1 minute max).. Just take black dhide & a full inventory of sharks (maybe a brew) and no one will touch you. (if you run AWAY of them of course).. -clan wars are reacheable by game necklace, same for the volcano (but please bring back my graveyard).. Deamonheim is easily reachable through al kharid/ring (who in their right mind walks all the way?) -chaos tunnels are reacheable at various locations (hard to patrol) - even through non wilderness! Only problem are quests: quests require you to read various parts (books & lore) which interfere with the interface of runescape..
  13. I'll wield the alerter in the future when going on penguin hunt!
  14. lol this picture itself is fake..
  15. Will never happen. Can I has cookies now?
  16. Can anyone please calculate how much euros, or brittish pounds it is? I refuse to use dollars, the us already have way to much influence and shouldn't grow bigger!
  17. How can you actually die to a revenant? Standing in spot for a full minute or something? Not using prayer? No food, no armour?
  18. I really doubt we'll have PKing back on all worlds- more likely we'll keep the same PvP world system with the old drop system. Though obviously you're right that corp would become a hassle if you could PK people on their way there. I think there's even some multicombat to run through. The only assumption I want to make about the update in this thread is that one will be able to trade any amount of money/items for any other amount of money/items with any player, unrestricted. Anything else would be speculation that doesn't really help analyze where the market will go as a result. before wilderness was this really a problem? If not, why would it be now?
  19. No they weren't, because they utterly failed to remove RWT from the game. In case you haven't noticed, both botting and RWT markets have been roaring lately. There was the "selling partyhat for trade price and $500" variety, and the "buy crashing item min sell to RWTer for mid" variety. Neither were in any way difficult to pull off. It was needed for the fraudulent ones that cost them money, not the ones that don't. If they've found a better way to stop the fraudulent ones, there's no reason not to go back to free trading times. We never knew how serious this thread was. You all just "believe jagex for their blue eyes".. - But what if this wans't true, but instead a CEO interpretation? Like our goverment just lied about the fact that the FIFA world cup would "not cost money and possibly bring lots of money" - Yet when looking at the last world cups they weren't. (and it turned out the responsible politican just did it to show some "leadership" or something). No idea what you're talking about, I won't lie. If they weren't losing money, why would they change their game so drastically? Do you have a reason other than just shouting, "CONSPIRACY" from the rooftops? New CEO?Philips got a new head 2 years ago, and suddenly instead of growing they decided to stop growing in the medical side and move everything out of the netherlands. Really why would anyone trust someone who's actions aren't shown? And who doesn't follow his own guidelines? (They said they were making runescape as they "like to play it themselves". - yet were adding all kind of nuicanses to protect younger people this became at its height (2007) totally contradictionary).
