Free Trade and Old Wilderness back [21-Dec-2010]
pulli23 replied to Logdotzip's topic in General Discussion
This kind of types are quite common in voting: the measuring is not to see how many people will like this (and how many not).. The idea by such a vote is to see how popular something would be: the important thing for them is the number of votes per second! -
lol I thought you might still be around here also does anyone know if when using darts on low def monsters if it would be better to slay with fsh and arma or void deflector+acp setup full slayer helmet gives the same dmg boost as full void... So fsh is almost always better than void..
-
THe only thing they might work on are black demons & waterfiends. (and maybe dusties) mages are too weak to have real benefit from the scrolls (too much clicking/xp then - I count difficulty in clicks/xp not time/xp). gargoyels should defnatelly be attacked in kuradal (more spawns + the ring makes up for the titan). - And also dusties have very low health.
-
I'd always range the greater demons.. With decent ranging gear/lvls (85+) it is one of the fastest, non-chinning training methods.

probably again some artistic thing -.- -
Doubt it, the door was covered with ice back when gwd came out, and the examine states it's still covered with ice (Hence frozen door ;) ). The whole concept of GWD is that the area was melting, so I doubt that it would've refrozen. Although I suppose there could be that type of quest without the lucien-already-being-there aspect...The thing is shaking the ground around it, it's yelling about how it'll wreck vengeance...Why the hell would we open the door? :P A non-zaros "evil" deity with immense power would've surfaced somewhere in lores I imagine. If Zaros faded from this plane after being stabbed by a staff, I still doubt he's just hanging out behind a door. dragonkin? elder gods?

I have to keep thinking: Why would an eternal battle take place, and why there? Wouldn't it be that they were fighting OVER something? - Some important artifact/person everybody likes to get to their team.. However at least they want that the opposing team won't get! (hence an eternal battle)
-
Uhm isn't the necromancer tower the tower west of faladar?
-
100% sure you don't have too!

They need to grow with the updates to keep up.

But no one is really going to kill 500 Revs hoping one of them might drop Claws, will they? How will they know what items the Revs hold? They won't. Sure, they can kill them with they vain hope, but that would be kind of senseless, would it not? You would be surprised. Besides, the point isn't if people will, it's whether or not people can. They COULD kill Revs for claws, and if that means saving hours on quests and killing easier monsters, people will do it. Of course, claws are just one example. This could apply to any boss-obtained items, take dragon legs for example. Revenants ought to replace pkers... That's what jagex said when they were released.. So if they are too weak now, they should be made stronger.
-
I've suggested this numerous times.. There are a few problem though: -nobody loses much, if anything (it's so easy to get back to your grave in 3 minutes, let alone 6).. It only works if graves wouldn't work in wilderness (something I greatly support).. High end items aren't taken to the wilderness. - Mostly because there is no reason to. (this can be fixed by making revs stronger, yet also giving them a "base" drop). Finally something a bit different I'd implement: Let the items revenants collect go into a "world box" - each world has its own collection of items.. Then if you kill a revenant it drops something (apart from its base loot) out of that box.. Independent of whether that revenant actually killed someone or not. (though the amount should depend on the level of the revenant). This would make unbalanced trades still impossible!
-
They could just delete/ban the account and not issue a refund, that box you tick for the terms + conditions state that you don't own the account, Jagex does and they can delete it whenever they want without a reason. "terms and conditions" are never above law.. And at least the dutch (and if I remember the whole european) law say a customer has all rights for a refund unless he breaks the law during a service!
-
@haa: as said, what happens to those who spent hundreds of hours upon training for that 99? Their achievements are suddenly voided!
-
I'm really wondering why such a small, yet huge improvement isn't suggested: being able to see your own floors (which you have open or finished) without going into a team!
-
When I go BA with friends I actually never wield armour the first 6 rounds - overhealing is way to easy as it is.. And the healer earns the most points every wave!
-
Yeah the extended use of prayer in f2p actually sounds quite feasible and could potentially make stuff other than flesh crawlers/giant spiders the fastest xp. still, only 1 pray point per kill? Only at very weak things this is enough (and these things are generally bad since you have to click too much) And you've got to calculate the time burying (though this could maybe be neglected, you also gain pray xp meanwhile).

Is hotkeying a button to a specific part of the screen legal?
pulli23 replied to ghjkl's topic in Help and Advice
Define illegal. For the sake of this discussion, let us define illegal as "an action which, if caught, will cause you to be accused of botting by jagex and subsequently punished according to how they see fit." Using either one of those examples could end up being illegal according to the above definition. If someone has a better definition of illegal, post it, but I think mine is the most useful and relevant for this discussion. But with that definition also mousekeys should be banned: mousekeys are nothing more than macros! -
I am talking about getting seeds, runes etc from bank.. - and the fact you have to GO to the bank / make time for it.. Btw: without juju it is best to start with 1 near a teleport spot (you can clean herbs while walking)..
-
Doesn't planting take too long? But i think i could do other stuff till it grows. :) All the studies into herb farming collate into an average yield of 6.8 per herb patch without the juju potion, and they all assume deaths from people not checking the health of their herbs. (In other words, 0 yields are included) Hardly anyone stands by their herbs to check their health unless they're alching, allotment farming at the same time or skilling something that doesn't require a bank, like bolts/arrows. The vast majority lay the super compost to decrease risk of disease and increase herb yield, plant the seed and do something else until they've grown. I personally plant them, do a slayer task and come back. Grown plants can't die, so you can take all the time in the world. That's the appeal; metaphorically, it really is like growing money in the ground whilst you do something else. It's been proven in light of the Herblore Habitat - hence the need to do herb runs as quickly as possible before the juju's effect runs out - that herb runs can be accomplished quite easily within 5 minutes on a good connection, going to Trollheim first. though I'd say without ardy cap & with all the banking required, you should plan like 15 minutes at least for a run!

YOu'll rob your own healers from xp then!

[to admins] Is there some way to forbid users who joined after 07 to vote here? The question is useless when everybody can vote[/to admins]

Actually price wouldn't raise much more (maybe even lower as people need to spend more money on other skills and thus have less money left): -The limiting factor in the dragon bone supply is NOT the fact that there are too few people collecting: it is the fact that dragons don't spawn immediatellly.. With less (or even no) bots dragon bones would still come in just as fast! - As the bots would quickly be replaces by regular players. (if you won't have to compete with bots, dbone farming is the only effective money maker atm).

Is hotkeying a button to a specific part of the screen legal?
pulli23 replied to ghjkl's topic in Help and Advice
If I am at a company and I write a mouse driver which "click at bottom left on 5th button" it is legal.. But once I am at home and write "mouse button 5 will click at x,y position on the screen" it is illegal?
