I was digging around for something easier to use than Blender 3D,and ran across something interesting, Sketchup What id does is take most of the modeling tools from other programs, and made them super easy to use, and implemented new easier methods of doing things. In 1 hour of using Sketchup, I was making designs I never could figure out how to in Blander. The program uses verticals and faces to manipulate shapes. Here is videos on how to use it. I know you can not make organic shapes easily (it is possible), but what is your opinion on this?

Every try adblock? It blocks elements and scripts from websites, which improved my web browsing experience a lot. You must be using Forefox to add this.

I can run SL with 64MB ram. It usually takes up 300-600M ram. My advice is format the hard drive, and install XP, Vista has too many problems.

I was looking threw a website reading off how to make "hello world" in a lot of different languages, and I ran across an oddity. Piet popped out of the pages. It's the only programming language I've ever seen that uses colors and color blocks to wright code. There is not one single character used in it, it is all colored pixels. I must say, the art it createsis interesting to look at. What do you thinck?

I've been playing around with computers for quite some time. To complicate matters, I've plugged in IDE hot before, in fact for the heck of it I decided to plug in an IDE right now while typing this message, and it works fine. Did I mention it is on SCSI cable I have specifically for testing and fixing hard drives? (IDE is a type of drive, SATA is a type of filing system) I run my own charity that deals with computers http://youtube.com/watch?v=_69--DIaR84 . I do power down my systems before swapping cards, chips, or sticks, but for hard drives, my system can handle them while it's on for some reason ^-^ Any ways, i've dug threw my pile of HDs, and no suitable board was found, I guess I'll have to wait until later to swap 'em out. :cry:

Today I was doing a search for MMORPG creation systems, and ran across XtremeWorlds . Turns out it is the non beta version of Player Worlds. Basically it is a tool to create 2D MMORPG games, which is very easy to use. Please do not compare it to RS, not the same. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: I'm happily creating another world of my own now. (( Compared to RPG Maker, this is a lot better at creating 2D games ))

I had 2 hard drives in my computer. I unplugged it for about 2 weeks, and decided to plug it back in today to get some files off of it. It instantly crashed my computer, the second I plugged it it ((Mind you I do this all the time with other hard drives, and does NOT do this)) I rebooted my system, and made it up until right before the operating system (win xp) loads up. The system sits at an error that it can not find the floppy drive, were I normally press F1 to continue, the option does not pop up ((I know I can change that in BIOS, but am too lazy)). The system is now frozen. the problem is not my lack of a b drive BIOS works fine, but I can not use a DOS boot disk. I remove the second hard drive, and my system is back to normal, every thing boots up fine, and works properly.

I looked in youtube, Nothing related to RS1 dwarf Invasion.

Thanks =-) It does not help when I code and am a bit dislexic :wall: HTML is the first real world language I'm trying to learn. I know LSL, and AW code, but those are useless for RL applications. From HTML it's off to xml, and than Java (I hope)

It will not display the image I point it to, no matter what format I try. (the image is in the same folder as the saved html file) I did have the width and heith defined, but didn;t work. my header is And I use firefox to view my pages. Any help would be appreciated.

LSL is sorta like java and c rolled into 1, and I understand that, well enougt o wright stuff using it. Problem is it's very limited, and only usefull in SL. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Portal I've looked into VB, but from what I know about it, it can not handle modern applications.

the best way to learn is reading examples, and tutorials (for me any ways). I want to learn C++ in it's full capacity. Currently all the tutorials, and books I ran across tell me how to program a calculator, and say stuff (all of it in win 32). No were can I find using graphics, buttons, windows, how to creat files, how to read from files...all your basic knowledge to create a normal Windows program. Befor you say "look on gogole" or simple pasting a link from the first search result that popps up, pelase read the tutorial....everything I've found tells me how to program a calculator (including C++ for Dummies), and use varables....Been looking for relevent info for 5+ months now. (i'd switch to java if it did what I wanted it to do)

This is not an advertisment, but a discussion. I've been roming around the net for some time, and have been finding some pretty good game makers, which are getting cheeper, and cheeper, pluss are getting very easy to use. How soon do you thinck it will be befor you can create your own free version of RS, or evan WoW? Currently the closest thing to an RS creation system I found is Realm Crafter http://www.realmcrafter.com/ . It's not free, but very cheep compared to a lot of other game creation suits I've tryed, and easer to use.
