you should start at lvl 40 it may be slow but it picks up in speed as u lvl it up

no dds may seem to be doint more damadge but the whip will awalys own dds look at your equimpment screen and see the attack bonus and use the highest type of attack bonus that will affect the battle

u got that right and it usually alot more fun
