  1. I've been training fm in the den for about a month now. This has been my first major exposure to groups of players (ie, 8 or more players) in some time (since I haven't fished, cooked, etc, in about a year). I actually forgot how much people complain. During a typical hour on any server, I'll hear at least ONE complaint about how boring or slow cooking is. Usually it's a lot more than that. Once a day I'll usually hear at least one complaint about the most recent update. I hear complaints about some aspect of the combat system also at least once a day (which is odd, considering that nobody's fighting anything >_>). And, of course, I'll get one completely bizarre complaint at least once a day (such as the player who wished RS was more like RSC----but had never actually played RSC!). :boohoo: Why can't people just be happy? :-#
  2. Well-written? Which article were you reading? There were numerous typos, grammatical errors, etc, etc, etc. Seriously, does anybody proofread this crap? Just to clarify some points already raised: Woman = singular Women = plural Him = masculine pronoun
  3. How many people that voted achievement cape actually have one of those capes? C'mon, fess up. I'm not talking about the quest cape either, lol. The achievement capes were garbage. Same defense as obby, except with a prayer boost, a lame emote that a 99-skiller should have without the cape anyway, and a temp stat bonus that should instead stay active for as long as you wear the damn thing. It's too much of a hassle to repeatedly operate the cape for a crummy +1 and all it does is attract noobs begging to see the emote.
  4. Like 60%-70% in the first months was probably GamesDomain. Jagex already had a following from its previous games.
  5. Greg's memories of RSC differ quite a bit from mine. Except the repeatedly pked part. That's why I switched the opt off.
  6. Sambza, you're looking at this the wrong way. Besides that the fact that the majority of content updates have been for low level players (and even something like the jad can be killed by somebody in their 60s), there's no need to finish every quest as it comes out but rather it's a good thing that more content exists for when you do eventually catch up.
  7. Given the scheduled updates, I wasn't feeling too strongly about the month's content in the first place. Jagex has been adding a fair amount of stuff that could build into a good update but there hasn't been a really, really solid update since either lunar diplomacy or construction. The one major upside I've been seeing is that Jagex's quest stories definitely seem to be improving.
  8. Atoll's graphic in the spellbook also looks different.
